Birchbox #1 - June 2014

I have seen of a lot of YouTube videos of Birchboxes and I just decided to try one myself, seeing as though this box looked quite good and I thought it would make a change to having Glossyboxes. When you open the outer packaging, there is a small cardboard box inside, which says Birchbox on it. When you open the box, you see the literature that comes with every box, including a product list. Underneath the literature, the products you get are packaging in a canvas pull string bag, this month’s bag is green like the Brazilian flag because the box is kind of football themed. When I opened the bag, I was amazed to find that I had got some star products (beautyblender & theBalm cream). I was only expecting to get one or the other! The OPI polish also comes in a small mint coloured cardboard box inside the bag. Here is what I received overall this month:- Beautyblender Classic and Blendercleanser Solid Kit | £26 – BeautyBlender.co.uk | I have heard about this s

ColourB4 - My Experience

I’ve been dying my hair the same red shade for years now and I love it, but for this Summer period I wanted something lighter and more natural. It was obvious that I would need to get rid of the red first before I could dye it a light brown shade. I chose ColourB4 and I actually used it on the 17 th May as I was going on holiday the following weekend and I wanted nice and new natural hair to hit Great Yarmouth with! ColourB4 is a hair colour remover dye that removes any dyed hair colour from your hair and leaves you with a lighter shade of a more natural colour. I got two boxes of the regular version and they are £9.99 each. It is a bit pricy, but it does work. You need to have clean hair before you can do it and then you just apply it onto your hair like hair dye. I got my sister to do my hair and she is did warn me that it smells like rotten eggs. Personally the smell didn’t bother me, but if I got the stronger version that might have made the difference! You can leave it on

Graze - Box #9

Another graze box! A few new treats in this box and a couple of old favourites mixed in. A closer look at my treats. Mumbai Masala “Masala cashews, baked curry bites and spicy chickpeas” The cashews tasted really good and it was like eating a masala curry! The curry bites were amazing. They were not very spicy and I just like the texture of these kinds of bites. They are not as good as the soy ones though! The chickpeas were surprisingly ok. They didn’t really taste spicy and they are quite crunchy and hollow. Honeycomb Flapjack “Rustic rolled oat flapjack with honeycomb and milk chocolate” I have had this before and it is very nice and light. Cheddar Gorge “Cheese cashews, salsa corn sticks & herb crackers” I have had this before too and it is one of my favourite snack packets overall! Oven Roasted Salt & Vinegar Nut Selection “Salt and vinegar almonds and peanuts” The peanuts taste a lot like the regular salted k

Make-Up Storage ENVY! #2

Photo: GiesenDesign.com I have done a post similar to this before and it really gets me thinking about how I will organise things when I get a place of my own. When I say things, I really mean my beauty related products! I watched Elle Fowler’s make-up collection video a long time ago and I fell in love with her vanity set up (picture above) . It is a gorgeous shabby chic/French inspired and white piece of furniture and I just have to have it! My newly decorated bedroom was finished in May, so I currently have no plans to buy this beauty, but it is definitely on my want list for my own place in the future. I change my mind all the time about organising my current room, but I know for my own place, this piece of furniture has to be there. | CLICK TO SEE MAKE-UP STORAGE ENVY! #1 | How do you store your beloved beauty products? ♥ ♥ ♥

e.l.f Haul #7

A few weeks ago I took advantage of the 50% off offer on e.l.f products and I got everything on my wishlist. I haven’t made a purchase from them since December 2013 because the majority of the products I was interested in were always out of stock. This was due to offers always being on! Don’t get me wrong, the offers are brilliant but other people always get there first. But hey, I should just be happy I got my products now. From the Studio line I got the Lip Exfoliator , Long Lasting Lustrous Eyeshadow in Soiree and a Small Stipple Brush . I also bought a Slant Tweezer and from the Essentials line I got a Jumbo Eyeshadow Stick in French Lace , two Jumbo Lip Gloss Sticks in Movie Star and Pink Umbrellas and lastly a Lip Balm Tint in Grapefruit . Overall I am really happy with my purchases and can’t wait to try them all out. I probably will not make an e.l.f order for a while now because I am waiting for the new products arrive (already available in the USA). Hav

Graze - Box #8

I have yet another Graze box for you today. This box was more savoury than the ones I have had before. A closer look at my treats. The Graze Brownie “The better-for-you brownie” The brownies were quite nice. It was Belgian chocolate and not too sickly and I don’t usually like nuts/almonds in brownies, but these tree nuts were good. Spicy Corn Taco “Spicy chilli peanuts, roasted corn & edamame beans” The chilli peanuts were really good. They taste a bit like regular salted peanuts, but you still get that hint of chilli spice. The corn was beautiful! It was really crunchy and it had a sweet and savoury taste to it. I wasn’t that keen on the beans because they were mostly tasteless and they remind me of bird seeds because they are really crunchy, but the texture is hollow and shell like. The British Barbecue “Basil baguettes, rosemary crostini, smoked almonds & seeds” The basil baguettes are really tasty and not too strong. The cros

Superdrug-ish Haul

I have a haul for you today and it is slightly hair and eye themed. I first went to Superdrug because I wanted some hair colour remover and light brown dye and I had heard of the 3 for 2 offer on make-up. I got two boxes of the ColourB4 Regular Hair Colour Remover and it is not cheap at £9.99 a box! They had a 2 for £6 offer on their own branded hair dyes, so I got two boxes of the Superdrug Colour Performance Permanent Crème Colour in 7.0 Natural Lightest Brown. It was also the only one I saw that was closest to the colour I wanted. I also took advantage of the 3 for 2 offer and got the Maybelline the COLOSSAL GO EXTREME! Volum’ Express Mascara in Very Black, Bourjois Color Edition 24H Cream Eyeshadow in 03 Pétale de glace and a Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Transparent (free item) for my Sister. After Superdrug I went to Argos to collect a reservation I made earlier in the day. I have always wanted a hair curling wand, but one without a clamp and something tha

Empties #16 - April & May 2014

I have used up quite a few different products for this post, but still no make-up items disappointingly! Nivea Anti-Perspirant Stress Protect 48H Deodorant This was my second can because I couldn’t get hold of the Cien deodorant for a few weeks. It works and it got me through the waiting period. 150ml | £2.50 T-Zone Skin Clearing Face Moisturiser This was my first tube of this product and it was ok. It did moisturise, but I didn’t notice much more than that. The consistency is very thin and if you apply too much, it turns your face white and takes forever to soak in. I will not be re-purchasing it. 75ml | £2.99 Carex Hand Gel in Aloe Vera I just wanted to try a different scented hand gel and this one does smell great. However, if you apply too much, the scent can be overwhelming! I also did not like the fact that once it has dried and you pick up food, the scent transfers over to the food so you can taste it! Overall, I probably would re-purchase it, but in a d
