Empties #15 - March 2014

I have another Empties for you. I’ve not used up much this month I’m afraid. It’s mostly body care items because I’ve been doing more buying and using! Lady GaGa Fame Shower Gel This shower gel was quite good. It lathered really well and the scent was strong too, just like the perfume! The colour of the gel was also black and then it turns grey when lathered. Although I liked it, I wouldn’t purchase it separately. 200ml | £15 Impulse Body Spray in True Love I have used up several cans of this scent over the years, and I won’t stop now! It is my second favourite scent from Impulse and I LOVE it! 75ml | £1.99 Morrisons So Clear Dual Action Moisturiser I have used this before and it is just a basic product, but it works and it is inexpensive. 100ml | £1.49 Cien BodyCare Classic Anti-Perspirant Deodorant I still love this deodorant. 200ml | 75p ASDA Little Angels Baby Wipes (Fragrance Free) I’ve used up yet another packet and I still have more of th

Lauren Luke Set of 8 Essential Brushes

I have had this brush set for close to two years now and I can’t believe that it has taken me so long to review it. This brush set is by Lauren Luke and she wanted to create brushes that she would use herself and be well made, but not too expensive. When I bought my set the shipping cost was £1.99 (UK), but it may have changed. Large Powder Brush – £6.50 This brush is supposed to be brilliant for applying foundation, bronzer, blush and highlighter. The bristles are 185mm in length and made of goat hair. This is one of my favourite brushes from the set and it is jam packed with bristles, but it is so soft!  It is the perfect size too, because the head is relatively large but the shorter handle makes it sit well. It works well for any powder product and for sweeping away fall out from eyeshadows. The bristles enable you to pick up quite a bit of product, so if you are using colour don’t be heavy handed. I do not recommend using it for cream based products as it can she

Batiste Dry Shampoo in Oriental | Superdrug £1.47 Clean & Clear Dual Action Moisturiser | Morrisons £3.59 Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation in 010 Light Porcelain | Superdrug £6.99 Maybelline the Mega Plush Volum’ Express Mascara | Superdrug £7.99 Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer in 010 Ivory | Morrisons £5.99 I will hopefully be doing an Avon haul soon and putting up more reviews. I really want to start sorting through my collection, so that I can maybe do collection posts in the future. What do you think of my purchases? ♥ ♥ ♥

SEVENTEEN Miracle Matte Pressed Powder

I bought this to try because I wanted to see if it was better than the Rimmel one because they are the same price and I love the Rimmel one, but this one has better packaging. Also SEVENTEEN did a Shine Away Pressed Powder, which was discontinued and I think this is the same powder but re-branded. I tried the Shine Away and didn’t like it as much as the Rimmel one, but I wanted to try this one just in case they are not the same. The packaging is a black plastic compact with the logo on the front and the inside of the lid is a mirror. You get a face sponge and a plastic cover which protects the powder and the sponge sits of top of it so that it is not touching the powder. On the base of the compact is all the relevant information. For application you can use the sponge that is included or your favourite powder brush. The formula is oil-free and you get 10g of product. I have the shade Natural Fair, which is the lightest shade. This powder is supposed to mattify your skin and

Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Naked

I had wanted one of these lipsticks ever since they were released and now I finally have one. I decided to play it safe with the shade I chose. The packaging is a plastic gunmetal grey tube, lined with dark purple interior. It also has curved facets embedded into the tube. The whole design purpose is to make it look like a bullet. To dispense the product, you just twist the bottom of the tube and the lipstick is a slanted circled shape to enable an easier application. The formula is soft and kind of velvety to the touch. You get 2.8g of product in each tube and this shade is called Naked , which is a medium nude pink. This lipstick is mean’t to have a creamy and soft texture and glide onto your lips because of the oils and butters it contains, such as, Jojoba Oil, Avocado Oil, Cocoa Butter and Shea Butter. It should also make your lips look shiny and plumped and provide much pigmented colour payoff for a look which is long wearing. I really like this lipstick. The
