Perfume Power! - Hilary Duff 'With Love'

Photo: CaliforniaPerfumes.com
I bought this again after being without it for a couple of years.

The bottle design is very simple and lovely looking. It is a twisted shape, with gold metal banding around the neck. The cap reminds me of a sort of gold bar, but it is plastic with a tint of colour. The bottle design is sort of oriental, which was what Hilary was going for so it suits the scent perfectly.
The fragrance notes are:-

Top Notes: Mangosteen Fruit & Spices
Middle Notes: Cocobolo Wood & Mangosteen Flower
Base Notes: Amber Milk & Amber Musk

This fragrance is described as being oriental and it smells really light and woody. You can smell the wood and musk, but they are not overpowering notes and you get the slight hint of fruit and flower. I really like this perfume and I think it is suitable for any age of woman as it is light, fresh, clean, fruity, florally and not overpowering so it can be universally marketed.

Sadly I have heard this perfume has been discontinued, I’m sure you can still get hold of it from eBay, but I currently can’t find an official stockist. Hilary is ready to make a comeback next year, so maybe she will treat us with a perfume number three?

Hilary also has a second perfume called Wrapped With Love, which is a take on this perfume, but inspired by the Spring season. If you are interested in Wrapped With Love, I have heard it is harder to get a hold of than the With Love scent, so maybe they have both been discontinued together!

Glossybox #25 - February 2019

This is my third Glossybox since I re-subscribed last year. It is also the Valentine’s Day themed box. I would say that so far, this box seems to be the one most tailored to my usual interests. I received seven products in this box, technically six because two go hand in hand. HUDA BEAUTY Lip Contour in Venus This lip pencil formula is supposed to be waterproof and transfer-free. It should glide on effortlessly and give your lips an intense shot of colour. You can use it to contour or colour your lips or pair it with a lipstick. Venus is a warm beige nude shade. It glides onto your lips very easy, but it feels a little tacky when you fill your whole lips in with it. I’m not sure how often I would use this seeing as though I have never used lip liner. I prefer liquid lipsticks and I don’t feel the need to line my lips before applying it. | 1.20g - £16.00 | NAILS INC Nail Varnish in Status Ready This nail polish should be long lasting and super glossy. Jeffree Star Cosmetics Jawbreaker Palette

I bought this palette back when it first launched (summer 2019) and I was interested in it so I could experiment more with bright colours. The colour selection definitely doesn’t disappoint and I was expecting it to be the same quality as the Blood Sugar Palette, if not slightly better! The packaging is quite a large rectangular shape and made out of metallic pink cardboard with colourful dots/dashes all over representing a jawbreaker pattern. The name of the palette is in a slightly raised font. It has a magnetic closing which you lift to reveal the twenty-four eyeshadow pans arranged on a white background. The other side is the same pattern as the front cover with a mirror. You can purchase it for £54.00 ($58.00) from JeffreeStarCosmetics.com and BeautyBay.com. You get twenty-four 1.50g eyeshadows in Matte (M), Shimmer (S) and Metallic (ME) finishes. e.l.f Earth & Ocean Palette

I haven’t purchased anything from e.l.f in the longest time. I happened upon a post of this palette on Instagram and the complimentary comments really peaked my interest in trying it for myself. Palettes I have tried from e.l.f. in the past haven’t been the greatest of quality; I kind of associate the brand as being for children, beginners or natural beauty wearers. I was also interested in the Retro Paradise Palette , but I thought I would get more use out of this one at the moment.   THE PACKAGING The packaging is quite simple with a clear/black outlined plastic rectangular shape. The fronting is transparent so that you can see the eyeshadows from the outside of the palette. It has a clip closing, which you push apart to reveal the inside. The square eyeshadow pans are spread out across a black base and the shade names are printed in grey font under each pan. THE EYESHADOWS & FORMULA You get eighteen 0.94g eyeshadows in Matte (M), Metallic (ME), Glitter (G), Satin (S) and Shimmer
