Haul: My Last Day! :(

Today I completed my six weeks of work experience. I was volunteering at a business centre on reception and I really enjoyed it. Before I started I was initially unsure because I had not done that type of work before and I am quite shy around people I have not met before and I suffered quite badly from social anxiety, but everyone was very nice and welcoming.

Anyway, I received some lovely gifts from the reception staff, a thank you card and a glowing reference. I also got a strawberry frosted cupcake which was very tasty, but I forgot to take a picture of it before I ate it! Let’s get into what I received.
The gifts are very girly of course, firstly is the Possibility Pamper Salon Gift Set, which is the high street version of Philosophy. The set includes a pink body exfoliator; shower gel, body lotion and body mist. These are scented with Raspberry Pavlova, which smells amazing. Next I got a Baylis & Harding Gift Set in the Sweet Mandarin & Grapefruit scent. The set includes a cleansing face soap, balancing body wash and indulgent moisturising body lotion and these also smell really nice. I also received the 17 Electric Disco Purse Set, which I have had before and includes a Fast Finish Nail Polish in Nightshade, High Gloss Nail Polish in Risky Red, Nail Xtras Glitter Top Coat and a small nail file all in a cute little purse. The last two items are a slinky bracelet and a small black clutch/purse with silver inside it! ;) All of the items were in a really pretty flowery gift bag.

I hope to work in a place like that again because I enjoyed all the tasks and duties I completed. I have definitely gained more knowledge, skills and experience and hopefully I will find the right job for me very soon!

Thank you for reading.

Glossybox #25 - February 2019

This is my third Glossybox since I re-subscribed last year. It is also the Valentine’s Day themed box. I would say that so far, this box seems to be the one most tailored to my usual interests. I received seven products in this box, technically six because two go hand in hand. HUDA BEAUTY Lip Contour in Venus This lip pencil formula is supposed to be waterproof and transfer-free. It should glide on effortlessly and give your lips an intense shot of colour. You can use it to contour or colour your lips or pair it with a lipstick. Venus is a warm beige nude shade. It glides onto your lips very easy, but it feels a little tacky when you fill your whole lips in with it. I’m not sure how often I would use this seeing as though I have never used lip liner. I prefer liquid lipsticks and I don’t feel the need to line my lips before applying it. | 1.20g - £16.00 | NAILS INC Nail Varnish in Status Ready This nail polish should be long lasting and super glossy. It is a deep che

Jeffree Star Cosmetics Jawbreaker Palette

I bought this palette back when it first launched (summer 2019) and I was interested in it so I could experiment more with bright colours. The colour selection definitely doesn’t disappoint and I was expecting it to be the same quality as the Blood Sugar Palette, if not slightly better! The packaging is quite a large rectangular shape and made out of metallic pink cardboard with colourful dots/dashes all over representing a jawbreaker pattern. The name of the palette is in a slightly raised font. It has a magnetic closing which you lift to reveal the twenty-four eyeshadow pans arranged on a white background. The other side is the same pattern as the front cover with a mirror. You can purchase it for £54.00 ($58.00) from JeffreeStarCosmetics.com and BeautyBay.com. You get twenty-four 1.50g eyeshadows in Matte (M), Shimmer (S) and Metallic (ME) finishes. Swatch Stencil: Stripes Double 14 Pan by SwatchPerfect.co.uk Virgin - bone white (M) Good Morning - soft pink

e.l.f Earth & Ocean Palette

I haven’t purchased anything from e.l.f in the longest time. I happened upon a post of this palette on Instagram and the complimentary comments really peaked my interest in trying it for myself. Palettes I have tried from e.l.f. in the past haven’t been the greatest of quality; I kind of associate the brand as being for children, beginners or natural beauty wearers. I was also interested in the Retro Paradise Palette , but I thought I would get more use out of this one at the moment.   THE PACKAGING The packaging is quite simple with a clear/black outlined plastic rectangular shape. The fronting is transparent so that you can see the eyeshadows from the outside of the palette. It has a clip closing, which you push apart to reveal the inside. The square eyeshadow pans are spread out across a black base and the shade names are printed in grey font under each pan. THE EYESHADOWS & FORMULA You get eighteen 0.94g eyeshadows in Matte (M), Metallic (ME), Glitter (G), Satin (S) and Shimmer
