Welcome to my first Empties post of the year! I had a bit of a clear out this month, which is still on-going I’m afraid to say! Let’s get into what I managed to rid myself of! When I first got it, it smelled so lovely of rose and I have barely used it and it has completely dried up, gone sticky and doesn’t smell at all. I am a little disappointed, but it is organic and probably why it spoils quickly. I have just opened up my e.l.f Studio Cream Eyeliners to find that all three are as hard as rocks and all of them have shrunk. Coffee is now the size of a marble! The evidence is below. I know cream/gel products don’t last for ever, but I have had other cream eyeliners a lot longer that are still useable. The cream eyeliner is brilliant when you first use it, but it doesn’t take long to turn crappy. I am very disappointed and will never buy another one from e.l.f! This isn’t a personal attack on e.l.f because I have tons of products from them that I love, but this is not good and I have heard others have had the same problem. Just be warned that if you do not use them, you lose them! Has this happened to you? ♥ ♥ ♥

I have another naughty haul for you today. It is kind of justified though and a couple of the products I have been waiting to buy for a long time. Today I am going to share with you what I bought during the Winter sales. Firstly I went to Boots to collect my online order I made on Christmas Eve during the sales. After I collected my order I noticed that the electric toothbrush I was after was half price in Boots, so I decided to get that too and I got an extra 10% discount off it. I decided to buy this on a whim because the half-price sale was on. I decided to choose a colour instead of plain black for a change, plus it was out of stock anyway. I was also interested in the fact that it doesn’t need sharpening. The packaging is a small black plastic stick and the design is pretty simple and to the point. To dispense the product you need to remove the cap, which clicks back into place and twist the end of the pencil to reveal the product hidden inside. The formula is 100% mineral based, which means it is free from parabens, preservatives and chemical dyes. You get 0.21g of product and the shade I have is Midnight, which is a soft, dark navy blue that almost looks black. This eyeliner is supposed to give you a natural, soft and brilliant defined line and provide good coverage.
