Birchbox #4 - May 2015

This month’s theme is ‘Free Your Mind’. The box comes looking quite plain, but with a patterned outline. You also got a small packet of coloured pencils, which you were supposed to use to decorate the box. Here is what products were inside my box:-

Jelly Pong Pong Caribbean Sun Bronzer Duo in Martinique

This is kind of an odd product. It actually looks like eyeshadow. I’m also guessing you would have a hard time applying it as the pans are quite small, and it doesn’t look like a make-up brush would fit in there.

CAUDALIE Vinoperfect Radiance Tinted Moisturiser in 01) Light

I am quite interested in trying this and it looks like a decent sample. I’ve tried a serum from this line before and loved that, so I am hoping this is good. Even if I do like it, I’m not sure I would pay out for a full size tube!

WAH LONDON Nail Polish in Baby Gurl

This looks like a really nice light pink and I can’t wait to try it!

As I am not into hair, I will most likely not try this. I am hoping it is something that would interest my Sister.

I am looking forward to trying this, and it smells good too! I am slightly annoyed thought, as I currently have dozens of face masks in my to-test drawer!!

As this is a hair mask, I know for certain that I will not be trying it!

Overall this was a good box, even though I was a little disappointed to have received two hair products.

Escada Collector's Edition Gift Set

I’ve always been interested in trying Escada fragrances, but there are so many to choose from and I didn’t want to risk buying a full size bottle. I came across this little gift set whilst I was shopping online at Boots and clicked buy straight away! All four fragrances are in a tiny, but cute 4ml potion looking bottle. Here are the four scents you get to try:- TURQUOISE SUMMER This bottle is a turquoise/clear theme and contains the notes; pineapple, strawberry, raspberry, blackcurrant, peach, violet, orange blossom, vanilla, sandalwood and musk. It smells really strong of orange blossom and kind of like a car air freshener. It does linger quite a while on the skin, but it is not really a strong scent. Overall I don’t like this scent. It doesn’t really smell of anything to me and what you can smell isn’t what I would call pleasant. I give this perfume 1/5 . Serial Sampler #41

An advertisement popped up on Facebook with an offer of a free sample of this new fragrance and I clicked straight away! I have previously tested the original scent of this fragrance line and I loved it, so I was also expecting to like this one. It is Born In Roma Yellow Dream by Valentino and it is a 1.2ml spritzer sample of the eau de parfum. “ A floral lift of a thousand rose petals, twisted with a new clean and fresh addiction. ” Launched: 2021 Type: Floral / Feminine (Donna) Notes Top: Italian Lemon. Middle: Rose Essence. Base: Clean Accord and White Musks. This is a very soft and delicate floral scent with a fresh musk hint. It is definitely more floral smelling than the original Born In Roma fragrance. I can’t really detect the Italian Lemon. I can pick-up a fruity sort of hint, but it definitely isn’t lemon to me. I just wanted to share with you a few naughty purchases and I’m sure these won’t be the last of this month! From FeelUnique.com I finally got my hands on the Juicy Couture Duo Spray Set , which includes two 7.5ml purse sprays of Viva La Juicy La Fleur and Viva La Juicy . I also bought the Urban Decay Nirvana Build Your Own Quad Palette , as I eventually plan on buying some single UD eyeshadows and need somewhere cute to house them. Lastly, after deciding against the purchase, I listened to the little devil on my shoulder and got theBalm Balmsai Palette .
