Glossybox #16 - September 2015

I was looking forward to this box because the design is gorgeous! It is called their Style Edition box. Here is what I got this month:-
Bellápierre Shimmer Powder in Whesek
2.35g - £12.99
I haven’t tried this yet, as I find loose pigments/eyeshadows very messy and it doesn’t really look like my sort of colour.

Marsk Eyeshadow Brush Pro
£16.70
I still can’t quite believe the price of this brush. It’s flat and the bristles are quite stiff. I am yet to apply eyeshadow with it, but I’m guessing it will be a little like the flat Urban Decay eyeshadow brushes I have. I definitely wouldn’t pay £16.70 for it!

Maria Nila Luminous Colour Hair Masque
250ml - £18.95
As you may know, I’m not a hair girl so this product definitely doesn’t interest me at all! It does smell really nice and sounds like it would do a great job for colour treated hair, but I just wouldn’t use it. It’s a little expensive for a hair mask, so I am going to pass it on to someone who will appreciate it.

Invisibobble Traceless Hair Ring
3 Rings - £4.00
These will definitely come in handy. I’m not sure they would replace my usual bobbles though. They don’t feel as secure to me and you have to un-wrap them to get them out of your hair, I prefer the old fashioned pull, although it’s probably better for your hair if you un-wrap.

Nails Inc Nail Polish in Battersea Park
10ml - £11.00
This looks like a beautiful colour in the bottle and I am a little intrigued to see what it looks like on nails. My nails are in a bit of a sorry state at the moment and I know my Mum was eyeing the polish up when I first opened the box, so I think I will let her be the first one to try it out.

In theory this would have been a great box, but I didn’t get anything that I would actually use, apart from the pretty box!

What are your thoughts on this box?

Glossybox #25 - February 2019

This is my third Glossybox since I re-subscribed last year. It is also the Valentine’s Day themed box. I would say that so far, this box seems to be the one most tailored to my usual interests. I received seven products in this box, technically six because two go hand in hand. HUDA BEAUTY Lip Contour in Venus This lip pencil formula is supposed to be waterproof and transfer-free. It should glide on effortlessly and give your lips an intense shot of colour. You can use it to contour or colour your lips or pair it with a lipstick. Venus is a warm beige nude shade. It glides onto your lips very easy, but it feels a little tacky when you fill your whole lips in with it. I’m not sure how often I would use this seeing as though I have never used lip liner. I prefer liquid lipsticks and I don’t feel the need to line my lips before applying it. | 1.20g - £16.00 | NAILS INC Nail Varnish in Status Ready This nail polish should be long lasting and super glossy. It is a deep che

Jeffree Star Cosmetics Jawbreaker Palette

I bought this palette back when it first launched (summer 2019) and I was interested in it so I could experiment more with bright colours. The colour selection definitely doesn’t disappoint and I was expecting it to be the same quality as the Blood Sugar Palette, if not slightly better! The packaging is quite a large rectangular shape and made out of metallic pink cardboard with colourful dots/dashes all over representing a jawbreaker pattern. The name of the palette is in a slightly raised font. It has a magnetic closing which you lift to reveal the twenty-four eyeshadow pans arranged on a white background. The other side is the same pattern as the front cover with a mirror. You can purchase it for £54.00 ($58.00) from JeffreeStarCosmetics.com and BeautyBay.com. You get twenty-four 1.50g eyeshadows in Matte (M), Shimmer (S) and Metallic (ME) finishes. Swatch Stencil: Stripes Double 14 Pan by SwatchPerfect.co.uk Virgin - bone white (M) Good Morning - soft pink

e.l.f Earth & Ocean Palette

I haven’t purchased anything from e.l.f in the longest time. I happened upon a post of this palette on Instagram and the complimentary comments really peaked my interest in trying it for myself. Palettes I have tried from e.l.f. in the past haven’t been the greatest of quality; I kind of associate the brand as being for children, beginners or natural beauty wearers. I was also interested in the Retro Paradise Palette , but I thought I would get more use out of this one at the moment.   THE PACKAGING The packaging is quite simple with a clear/black outlined plastic rectangular shape. The fronting is transparent so that you can see the eyeshadows from the outside of the palette. It has a clip closing, which you push apart to reveal the inside. The square eyeshadow pans are spread out across a black base and the shade names are printed in grey font under each pan. THE EYESHADOWS & FORMULA You get eighteen 0.94g eyeshadows in Matte (M), Metallic (ME), Glitter (G), Satin (S) and Shimmer
