After being blown away by the Holy Grail Palette, I just couldn’t pass on this one! The shade selection doesn’t appeal to me as much, but I know the quality will be there. Also, this palette is limited edition so I wouldn’t recommend hesitating if you are interested in it. I believe this palette is a collaboration with a YouTuber called Laura Lee. I don’t know anything about Laura, but from what I gather she makes beauty videos. The palette design is similar to the Holy Grail Palette but the colour scheme is different, but it still has the holographic effect on the packaging. It has a rectangular shape to it and it is slightly bulky and has a little weight to it. It has a magnetic closing and when you lift the lid it reveals the eyeshadow pans and a mirror. The packaging colour scheme is black and silver. You get twenty 36g eyeshadows in a variety of shades and finishes. Today I have a mini mascara to share with you. It is Better Than Sex by Too Faced and it is a 4.8g sample of the full size black mascara. The brush has a rounded hourglass shape and your lashes will look perfect after one coat! This mascara is easy to apply and it curls (long lasting), volumises and adds length and separates your lashes. Your lashes will look thicker with the dark black colour of the formula. It is mostly smudge-proof, but if your eyes water it will transfer slightly. The good news is that this mascara is also available in a waterproof formula. I felt like baking on Saturday and I thought I would also share the recipe with you. I decided on carrot cake as it is my favourite and with it being Mother’s Day the day after, I thought making it as cupcakes would be a cute sweet treat for my Mum as well as pacifying my carrot cake craving! This isn’t really a traditional carrot cake recipe, but it is the one my Mum has always used and I don’t like fruits and nuts in cakes anyway. Today I thought I would share with you my recent Boots online order. I collected it from store yesterday, but I actually ordered it last Friday. I got another bottle of my favourite morning face cleanser, Soap & Glory Drama Clean™ . I have used up so many bottles of this and it is a very nice micellar cleansing water. I also got a new bottle of body wash and I have been loving the Dove body washes for the past two months so I decided to pick up a new scent, Dove Purely Pampering Peony & Sweet Cream Body Wash . I decided to buy this perfume as it was on my test list on Fragrantica and I saw it for a decent price. I have been struggling to find places to buy perfume samples lately, so I took a gamble and bought the smallest bottle size I could. I got the 30ml bottle in the eau de parfum. The bottle is made of glass and kind of an hourglass shape, just like some of Christina’s other perfumes. It has a yellow gold flower design on the thinnest part of the bottle and Christina’s name is printed in hot pink and the perfume name printed in yellow gold. It also has yellow gold banding around the neck for the cap to sit on. The cap is clear plastic and kind of diamond shaped. It has a slight yellow gold spritzer to dispense the scent. On the outer cardboard box it had this description; “A sensual combination of golden amber and white flowers - radiating femininity the way a woman does”.
