Violet Voss X Laura Lee Palette

After being blown away by the Holy Grail Palette, I just couldn’t pass on this one! The shade selection doesn’t appeal to me as much, but I know the quality will be there. Also, this palette is limited edition so I wouldn’t recommend hesitating if you are interested in it.
I believe this palette is a collaboration with a YouTuber called Laura Lee. I don’t know anything about Laura, but from what I gather she makes beauty videos.
The palette design is similar to the Holy Grail Palette but the colour scheme is different, but it still has the holographic effect on the packaging. It has a rectangular shape to it and it is slightly bulky and has a little weight to it. It has a magnetic closing and when you lift the lid it reveals the eyeshadow pans and a mirror. The packaging colour scheme is black and silver.
You get twenty 36g eyeshadows in a variety of shades and finishes.

BASIC - matte creamy ivory
SUGAH - champagne shimmer
PRISS POT - matte peach
MAMA BIRD - matte burnt orange
RAGA MUFFIN - rich matte terracotta
LARLEE - pearlescent peach
TICKLED PINK - metallic rose gold
HISSY FIT - metallic bronze
BITTY - rich metallic rust
1988 - metallic cranberry
FLEEKY - bright metallic yellow gold
BRITCHES - soft sand
 FRIED - mustard brown
YOSHI - duo chrome purple
RAMMER JAMMER - metallic raspberry
ALABAMA - red toned brown
WISKERS - rich chocolate brown
BUBS - matte espresso brown
SMASHLEE - metallic moss green
LOU - matte black

The eyeshadows should all be highly pigmented and enable smooth blending to create flawless looks.

I do like the shade selection and the quality is just as exquisite as the Holy Grail Palette. The eyeshadows are soft, buttery, highly and extremely pigmented as well as being effortless to blend. You can use them wet, but like I said last time, you really don’t need too (just primer is fine). I am just in love with the metallic finishes! I do prefer the Holy Grail Palette overall, but I am just in love with Violet Voss’ formula so I am glad that I picked this up. Violet Voss has also come out with another palette, but it is mostly colours and I prefer the warm browns, rose golds, berries and neutral tones. Although this palette is limited edition, you can however still pick it up (BeautyBay), I just don’t know how much longer it will be available. I know I only own two, but I think I am addicted! They are so pretty to get out and just look at!

Glossybox #25 - February 2019

This is my third Glossybox since I re-subscribed last year. It is also the Valentine’s Day themed box. I would say that so far, this box seems to be the one most tailored to my usual interests. I received seven products in this box, technically six because two go hand in hand. HUDA BEAUTY Lip Contour in Venus This lip pencil formula is supposed to be waterproof and transfer-free. It should glide on effortlessly and give your lips an intense shot of colour. You can use it to contour or colour your lips or pair it with a lipstick. Venus is a warm beige nude shade. It glides onto your lips very easy, but it feels a little tacky when you fill your whole lips in with it. I’m not sure how often I would use this seeing as though I have never used lip liner. I prefer liquid lipsticks and I don’t feel the need to line my lips before applying it. | 1.20g - £16.00 | NAILS INC Nail Varnish in Status Ready This nail polish should be long lasting and super glossy. Jeffree Star Cosmetics Jawbreaker Palette

I bought this palette back when it first launched (summer 2019) and I was interested in it so I could experiment more with bright colours. The colour selection definitely doesn’t disappoint and I was expecting it to be the same quality as the Blood Sugar Palette, if not slightly better! The packaging is quite a large rectangular shape and made out of metallic pink cardboard with colourful dots/dashes all over representing a jawbreaker pattern. The name of the palette is in a slightly raised font. It has a magnetic closing which you lift to reveal the twenty-four eyeshadow pans arranged on a white background. The other side is the same pattern as the front cover with a mirror. You can purchase it for £54.00 ($58.00) from JeffreeStarCosmetics.com and BeautyBay.com. You get twenty-four 1.50g eyeshadows in Matte (M), Shimmer (S) and Metallic (ME) finishes. e.l.f Earth & Ocean Palette

I haven’t purchased anything from e.l.f in the longest time. I happened upon a post of this palette on Instagram and the complimentary comments really peaked my interest in trying it for myself. Palettes I have tried from e.l.f. in the past haven’t been the greatest of quality; I kind of associate the brand as being for children, beginners or natural beauty wearers. I was also interested in the Retro Paradise Palette , but I thought I would get more use out of this one at the moment.   THE PACKAGING The packaging is quite simple with a clear/black outlined plastic rectangular shape. The fronting is transparent so that you can see the eyeshadows from the outside of the palette. It has a clip closing, which you push apart to reveal the inside. The square eyeshadow pans are spread out across a black base and the shade names are printed in grey font under each pan. THE EYESHADOWS & FORMULA You get eighteen 0.94g eyeshadows in Matte (M), Metallic (ME), Glitter (G), Satin (S) and Shimmer
