Birchbox #7 - July 2018

I have another Birchbox to share with you. I really like the watercolour design of this box. Here is what I received:-
MANNA KADAR LONG-WEAR POWDER IN PARADISE
3g - RRP £15.00
There was a choice of two shades and I chose the shade Paradise, which is a very shimmery sort of cherry blossom pink shade. It is a blush which can also be used as an eyeshadow or highlighter. I chose the brightest one because I thought I might be able to use it in my crease, but I didn’t realise it would be shimmery or quite as bright as it is. I will hopefully figure out a way to use it on my eye, I most likely wouldn’t use it on my cheeks because of the shimmer and to be honest, the colour scares me a little!

EYEKO FAT EYE STICK IN SATIN
4g - RRP £12.00
It is like a cool toned taupe shade and it is quite smooth to apply. It is not really a product that appeals to me. I have used various chubby eye sticks in the past and I just prefer potted cream eyeshadows.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR ME..? SHOWER SCRUB
200ml - RRP £7.00
This is just a body scrub, but it is kind of more liquid in form than your regular body scrub.

BALANCE ME CONGESTED SKIN SERUM
15ml - RRP £16.00
I don’t currently use a serum because I see it is as an unnecessary step in my skincare routine, but this product does smell quite nice. You can actually smell it before removing the cap.

BEAUTYPRO EYE THERAPY UNDER EYE MASK
3 pairs/3.5g - RRP £4.95
You get one sachet with one pair of eye masks inside. I’ve never tried eye masks before, so I am intrigued to give it a go. I’ve got a slight purple/blue discoloration under my eyes, so I wonder if these masks will help.
This was an ok box, but nothing really excited me. This will actually be my last box for a while. I like to periodically un-subscribed and then re-subscribe, so it won’t be my last ever box.

Glossybox #25 - February 2019

This is my third Glossybox since I re-subscribed last year. It is also the Valentine’s Day themed box. I would say that so far, this box seems to be the one most tailored to my usual interests. I received seven products in this box, technically six because two go hand in hand. HUDA BEAUTY Lip Contour in Venus This lip pencil formula is supposed to be waterproof and transfer-free. It should glide on effortlessly and give your lips an intense shot of colour. You can use it to contour or colour your lips or pair it with a lipstick. Venus is a warm beige nude shade. It glides onto your lips very easy, but it feels a little tacky when you fill your whole lips in with it. I’m not sure how often I would use this seeing as though I have never used lip liner. I prefer liquid lipsticks and I don’t feel the need to line my lips before applying it. | 1.20g - £16.00 | NAILS INC Nail Varnish in Status Ready This nail polish should be long lasting and super glossy. It is a deep che

e.l.f Earth & Ocean Palette

I haven’t purchased anything from e.l.f in the longest time. I happened upon a post of this palette on Instagram and the complimentary comments really peaked my interest in trying it for myself. Palettes I have tried from e.l.f. in the past haven’t been the greatest of quality; I kind of associate the brand as being for children, beginners or natural beauty wearers. I was also interested in the Retro Paradise Palette , but I thought I would get more use out of this one at the moment.   THE PACKAGING The packaging is quite simple with a clear/black outlined plastic rectangular shape. The fronting is transparent so that you can see the eyeshadows from the outside of the palette. It has a clip closing, which you push apart to reveal the inside. The square eyeshadow pans are spread out across a black base and the shade names are printed in grey font under each pan. THE EYESHADOWS & FORMULA You get eighteen 0.94g eyeshadows in Matte (M), Metallic (ME), Glitter (G), Satin (S) and Shimmer

Jeffree Star Cosmetics Jawbreaker Palette

I bought this palette back when it first launched (summer 2019) and I was interested in it so I could experiment more with bright colours. The colour selection definitely doesn’t disappoint and I was expecting it to be the same quality as the Blood Sugar Palette, if not slightly better! The packaging is quite a large rectangular shape and made out of metallic pink cardboard with colourful dots/dashes all over representing a jawbreaker pattern. The name of the palette is in a slightly raised font. It has a magnetic closing which you lift to reveal the twenty-four eyeshadow pans arranged on a white background. The other side is the same pattern as the front cover with a mirror. You can purchase it for £54.00 ($58.00) from JeffreeStarCosmetics.com and BeautyBay.com. You get twenty-four 1.50g eyeshadows in Matte (M), Shimmer (S) and Metallic (ME) finishes. Swatch Stencil: Stripes Double 14 Pan by SwatchPerfect.co.uk Virgin - bone white (M) Good Morning - soft pink
