Glossybox #26 - March 2019

I received my last Glossybox for a while last week, as I cancelled my subscription last month, but you have to give 30 days notice to cancel otherwise you will still be charged for the next month’s box. Here is what I received:-

bellápierre Kiss Proof Lip Crème in Nude
This liquid lipstick is supposed to be full coverage, creamy, glide onto your lips, dry instantly, matte in finish and last for hours without needing a touch up. This comes across pink in the tube, but it is a nice nude shade. It is creamy, full coverage and glides onto your lips. The only thing I didn’t like is that it feels quite tacky, even after it has supposedly dried. It is tacky enough that your lips get stuck together when you close your mouth; this has put me off trying the other shades.

BYBI Plumper Lip Balm
This lip balm should have a thick and creamy formula that plumps, restores and protects your lips, whilst leaving them soft, smooth and healthy. It also contains peppermint and capsicum, which will plump your lips. This scent of this is quite strong and reminds me of medicinal ointment. I don’t like lip plumping products as I don’t like the way they feel on my lips, plus I don’t feel the need to plump my lips. It is quite dry product; I had to squeeze it quite hard to get some product out.

LARITZY Cosmetics Dew Pot in Utopia
This highlighter is supposed to be smooth and blendable and provide a dewy glow that lasts all day. Utopia is a shimmery rosy pink shade. I am not really into cream blushes, bronzers or highlighters. I would say that this shade looks a little too dark for my pale skin tone anyway.
| 3.5g - £15.30 |

essence Instant Matte Make-Up Setting Spray
This setting spray should be lightweight, oil-free and non-sticky. You can also use it as a primer to create a matte base. I will give this product a go, but I don’t think it will replace my beloved Urban Decay setting spray. I could always use this one as a primer, as I only use my UD to set my make-up with.
| 50ml - £3.00 |

The Body Shop Nourishing Body Butter in Coconut
This body butter is supposed to be rich, creamy, softening, nourishing and hydrating. I have said numerous times before, I dislike body products. I use a moisturising body wash, so I don’t feel the need to use a separate body moisturiser. I also do not like the scent coconut. I will pass this product along to someone who will appreciate it.
| 50ml - £6.00 |

This was actually a good box really. Three out of five products are actually make-up related. I still don’t regret this being my last box for a while though.

The ‘Sneak Peak!’ for the April box, teases that everyone should receive a Dr Botanicals Pomegranate Superfood Regenerating Sleeping Mask. There will be two special box designs in April too. The theme will be fruity and floral.

Glossybox #25 - February 2019

This is my third Glossybox since I re-subscribed last year. It is also the Valentine’s Day themed box. I would say that so far, this box seems to be the one most tailored to my usual interests. I received seven products in this box, technically six because two go hand in hand. HUDA BEAUTY Lip Contour in Venus This lip pencil formula is supposed to be waterproof and transfer-free. It should glide on effortlessly and give your lips an intense shot of colour. You can use it to contour or colour your lips or pair it with a lipstick. Venus is a warm beige nude shade. It glides onto your lips very easy, but it feels a little tacky when you fill your whole lips in with it. I’m not sure how often I would use this seeing as though I have never used lip liner. I prefer liquid lipsticks and I don’t feel the need to line my lips before applying it. | 1.20g - £16.00 | NAILS INC Nail Varnish in Status Ready This nail polish should be long lasting and super glossy. It is a deep che

e.l.f Earth & Ocean Palette

I haven’t purchased anything from e.l.f in the longest time. I happened upon a post of this palette on Instagram and the complimentary comments really peaked my interest in trying it for myself. Palettes I have tried from e.l.f. in the past haven’t been the greatest of quality; I kind of associate the brand as being for children, beginners or natural beauty wearers. I was also interested in the Retro Paradise Palette , but I thought I would get more use out of this one at the moment.   THE PACKAGING The packaging is quite simple with a clear/black outlined plastic rectangular shape. The fronting is transparent so that you can see the eyeshadows from the outside of the palette. It has a clip closing, which you push apart to reveal the inside. The square eyeshadow pans are spread out across a black base and the shade names are printed in grey font under each pan. THE EYESHADOWS & FORMULA You get eighteen 0.94g eyeshadows in Matte (M), Metallic (ME), Glitter (G), Satin (S) and Shimmer

Jeffree Star Cosmetics Jawbreaker Palette

I bought this palette back when it first launched (summer 2019) and I was interested in it so I could experiment more with bright colours. The colour selection definitely doesn’t disappoint and I was expecting it to be the same quality as the Blood Sugar Palette, if not slightly better! The packaging is quite a large rectangular shape and made out of metallic pink cardboard with colourful dots/dashes all over representing a jawbreaker pattern. The name of the palette is in a slightly raised font. It has a magnetic closing which you lift to reveal the twenty-four eyeshadow pans arranged on a white background. The other side is the same pattern as the front cover with a mirror. You can purchase it for £54.00 ($58.00) from JeffreeStarCosmetics.com and BeautyBay.com. You get twenty-four 1.50g eyeshadows in Matte (M), Shimmer (S) and Metallic (ME) finishes. Swatch Stencil: Stripes Double 14 Pan by SwatchPerfect.co.uk Virgin - bone white (M) Good Morning - soft pink
