Lois Cosmetics Meet Me In The Underworld Palette - Swatches

PLEASE NOTE: I mean’t to review this palette a while ago, but didn’t get around to it. I thought I would still share the swatches with you. I first saw a teaser of this palette on the MakeUpWorldNews Instagram page on Wednesday 7 th April. I had heard of the brand before, but didn’t really look into it. This palette kind of went viral on Instagram and that is down to the gorgeous artwork and stunning swatches! Lois Cosmetics is an Indie brand based in the UK and was created by Lois MUA, who is a professional make-up artist. The brand has only been around since March 2020! Due to the amount of attention the palette got from Instagram, a pre-sale was put in place for the Sunday 18 th April, which is when I purchased my palette. I received it on Monday 26 th April, which was two days before the official launch date of Friday 28 th April. THE EYESHADOWS & FORMULA You get sixteen 2g eyeshadows in Matte (M), Shimmer (S) and Foil (F) finishes.   ·          Made in PRC ·          Para

Colourpop DREAMERY Super Shock Shadow Vault

I already own six super shock shadows and I thought I would add to my collection. I have been into more sort of natural make-up lately. I just use my bronzer as my transition/crease shade and then use a shimmer or highlighter shade all over the lid. I have mostly been using face highlighters for the shimmer topper, so I thought I would buy more super shock shades so I can actually start using an eyeshadow. I needed different colour options to the six I already own. These shadows are not full pigment as such, but they are full shine and I thought this set would be perfect as it comes with several shades. This particular set is no longer available, but a lot of the shades are still available as singles so I thought I would still share my thoughts with you. ABOUT THE PRODUCT You get 2.1g of crème to powder eyeshadows in Matte (M), Ultra-Metallic (UM) and Ultra-Glitter (UG) finishes. They are housed inside little pots with a transparent twistable cap. There are nine shades included inside

Where I've Been Lately

Hello everyone,   You may have noticed, but I haven’t posted for a long while. I thought it was time I let you know why.   I have managed to consistently post twice a week for over a year now until recently. I had a lot of time on my hands when I was on furlough and then I was made redundant late last year. I had always enjoyed blogging and it kind of filled a sort of lonely hole in my life and it was also a type of therapy for me. My life has dramatically changed since the global pandemic started. I managed to lose quite a bit of weight during the first UK lockdown, but then backtracked a little when I went back to work. Since I was made redundant in November, a lot of things have changed again. I have lost a lot more weight, joined a gym and I am starting a new job soon. I am actually starting to enjoy and live my life, whereas before the pandemic I feel like I was just existing and I was very unhappy in myself and with my life overall. I feel like I have been given a second chance a

Too Faced Just Peachy Mattes Palette

I believe this palette has been out for a few years now. I had seen it online before, but Too Faced products were not readily accessible to me at the time. I could only purchase them from LookFantastic.com and CultBeauty.co.uk. They didn’t stock the full range of TF products and it can take them a long time to get some of the products in. They tend to offer the main releases, but I guess this palette wasn’t considered a main release! The colour story attracts me, but I am not generally a fan of all matte palettes, so I almost gave this one a miss.   THE PACKAGING The packaging is small and compact; it kind of reminds me of the shape of a clutch bag. It is rectangular and made of gold plastic. It has a sort of gel covering on the front of the palette, which is raised. It also has a white, peach and pink ombre effect design on the front with a little peach image. It has a magnetic closing, which opens to reveal a small mirror and the twelve eyeshadow pans. The eyeshadow pans are arranged

LUNAR BEAUTY Strawberry Dream Palette

I did hear about this palette when it first launched a while ago, but the pops of blue to the colour story turned me off a little. I always loved the packaging design, but it wasn’t enough to make me buy it straight away. I eventually decided on purchasing it as a couple of Beauty Influencers I follow have recently mentioned the palette and they really like the quality. I was torn on whether to get this one or the Moon Spell Palette. The packaging for both attracts me so much, but the colour story of Strawberry Dream is more me. Sadly my palette arrived damaged! I had heard stories of this happening to a few people who purchased this palette from Beauty Bay. Luckily it was only one broken eyeshadow and it is a matte one ( Storm Cloud ). I could either send the palette back for a full refund or I could keep it and receive a 40% refund (£19.20). I opted for the 40% refund as I still wanted the palette and didn’t want to risk the same thing happening again, but with a different shade or m
