Colourpop DREAMERY Super Shock Shadow Vault

I already own six super shock shadows and I thought I would add to my collection. I have been into more sort of natural make-up lately. I just use my bronzer as my transition/crease shade and then use a shimmer or highlighter shade all over the lid. I have mostly been using face highlighters for the shimmer topper, so I thought I would buy more super shock shades so I can actually start using an eyeshadow. I needed different colour options to the six I already own. These shadows are not full pigment as such, but they are full shine and I thought this set would be perfect as it comes with several shades.
This particular set is no longer available, but a lot of the shades are still available as singles so I thought I would still share my thoughts with you.

MY FIRST IMPRESSIONS
The packaging is very compact and simple. I’m still not overly keen on how the eyeshadow pans are stuck into the pots as when you rub your finger into the eyeshadow to pick up pigment, the pan moves around and feels like it might come loose. I do like how reflective the shades are. The texture doesn’t feel particularly creamy. The finish of them just looks like powder eyeshadow. You do have to layer them quite a bit to get a good coating on your eye lids and I find they apply better with your finger rather than a brush. I didn’t find that a damp brush helped at all, but glitter glue did help to hold the sparkle on your eye lids. I also find that they do crease quite easily. I am still enjoying these eyeshadows, but the lack of opaqueness still bothers me and the fact that the Ultra-Glitter shades are actually not that glittery! I still prefer regular molten metallic powder eyeshadows that many other brands offer. My favourite shades from this set are Moonwalk, Solitaire and Cattitude.

My Eye Primers: The Verdict!

It has taken me a long time to put this altogether, but I have finally done it! I decided I wanted to share my thoughts on eye primers I had tried and it turned out that I had ten, so I thought I would test them and find out which one worked best for me. I have split them into two categories (High End/Low End) and I aim to rank them from #1 to #10 on which is the longest wearing. Let’s look at the primers I will be testing. HIGH END URBAN DECAY PRIMER POTION PRICE: £17.50 SIZE: 10ml SHADES: Original, Anti-ageing, Freebase, Eden, Fix, Minor Sin, Sin and Caffeine APPLICATION: Squeeze tube without a nozzle, but also has a sponge stick applicator PROMISES: Non-creasing, gives you vibrant eyeshadows WHERE TO BUY: UrbanDecay.co.uk (UK) & Sephora (USA) I like to think that this primer is my favourite as I love the packaging (purple is my favourite colour). It is potion bottle inspired and it is the first primer I remember ever seeing and wanting. The packa...

Perfume Power! - Next 'Paradise'

I first smelt this perfume after receiving it in a mini gift set about ten years ago and I have loved it ever since. This 100ml size is my first bottle of it though, other than the tester/sample size. The bottle is quite tall and it is a sort of clutch bag shape if you turn it on its side. The bottle is a simple design and you can easily see how much perfume you have. On mine the spray pump sometimes gets stuck in the band around the neck of the bottle, but the problem is easily solved. I can’t find a specific note list anywhere for this perfume, but on Next’s site it is described as, "a light fruity fragrance with white florals and green notes". To me it smells really fruity and fresh. It is also multifunctional because it is quite strong and sexy, so perfect for a night out, but it is also not too overpowering and smells fresh and fruity enough for day time wear. It is actually an eau de toilette, which means that it is less concentrated, but I find that it is st...
