Colourpop DREAMERY Super Shock Shadow Vault

I already own six super shock shadows and I thought I would add to my collection. I have been into more sort of natural make-up lately. I just use my bronzer as my transition/crease shade and then use a shimmer or highlighter shade all over the lid. I have mostly been using face highlighters for the shimmer topper, so I thought I would buy more super shock shades so I can actually start using an eyeshadow. I needed different colour options to the six I already own. These shadows are not full pigment as such, but they are full shine and I thought this set would be perfect as it comes with several shades.
This particular set is no longer available, but a lot of the shades are still available as singles so I thought I would still share my thoughts with you.

MY FIRST IMPRESSIONS
The packaging is very compact and simple. I’m still not overly keen on how the eyeshadow pans are stuck into the pots as when you rub your finger into the eyeshadow to pick up pigment, the pan moves around and feels like it might come loose. I do like how reflective the shades are. The texture doesn’t feel particularly creamy. The finish of them just looks like powder eyeshadow. You do have to layer them quite a bit to get a good coating on your eye lids and I find they apply better with your finger rather than a brush. I didn’t find that a damp brush helped at all, but glitter glue did help to hold the sparkle on your eye lids. I also find that they do crease quite easily. I am still enjoying these eyeshadows, but the lack of opaqueness still bothers me and the fact that the Ultra-Glitter shades are actually not that glittery! I still prefer regular molten metallic powder eyeshadows that many other brands offer. My favourite shades from this set are Moonwalk, Solitaire and Cattitude.

Perfume Power! - Harajuku Lovers 'G'

I received this perfume as an Easter gift from a family member. The bottle design is really cute. It has a doll figure cap, which lifts off and the actual bottle is clear and simple glass, it kind of has a flower shaped base. The size I have is very small, so it is handy for your handbag. And I suppose you could keep the doll for collector’s purposes, when you have used up the perfume. The fragrance notes are:- Top Notes: Crisp Mandarin, Fresh Coconut & Apple Skin Middle Notes: Jasmine Sambac, Soft Freesia & Magnolia Vapour Base Notes: Coconut Cream, White Sandalwood & Cottonwoods To me it smells really strong for an eau de toilette. I quite like the scent because it is very feminine and quite sweet. The only thing I don’t like about it is the coconut. I don’t really like the coconut scent anyway. Other than that, it smells amazing, until the coconut hits your nose. I can also smell the floral side to it as well, the coconut does complement the flor...

Graze - Box #10

I have another Graze box post for you today. I am thinking of stopping these posts soon because it is starting to feel compulsory and I need to post more relevant beauty related content. A closer look at my treats. Graze’s Popping Corn ‘Lightly Salted’ I have tried this before and it is really nice and not overly salty. You get quite a bit of corn in the bag too, even though it is a small packet. Lightly Toasted Pistachios “Whole pistachios toasted with a little salt” I have had this packet before too and I just love pistachios! Tomato & Basil Pizza “Basil crunchini, cheese cashews & mini tomato breadsticks” This is my first experience with this packet, but each snack has been in other packets I have tried before. The crunchini is very nice and it’s just like croutons. The cheese cashews are nice and I do still really like the tomato breadsticks/baguettes. Herby Bread Basket “Basil baguettes, garlic crostini and oregano ric...

Glamour Magazine - July 2013

Yesterday I picked up the new edition of Glamour Magazine, well three copies of them actually! It is the July 2013 edition and you get a choice of five free MODEL CO products and four different magazine covers ( Rebel Wilson , Zooey Deschanel , Myleene Klass & Daniel Radcliffe ). I have never heard of the MODEL CO brand before, but judging by their website, they are marketed as high end. I’m not sure what size the items in the magazines are, but I have listed the full sizes and prices below. FIBRE LASHXTEND Mascara - £28 SHINE Ultra Lip Gloss in Strip Tease - £12 SHINE Ultra Lip Gloss in Showgirl Red - £12 COLOURBOX Eye Pencil in Black 01 - £14 LIP ENHANCER Illusion Lip Liner - £16 I decided to pick up two copies because this month’s edition is £1 instead of £2. I got the FIBRE LASHXTEND Mascara and COLOURBOX Eye Pencil in Black 01 .  When I got home and I opened them, I soon realised the eyeliner box was empty! L All the plastic packaging was inta...
