Glossybox #2 - January 2012

This is the Limited Edition hot pink January Valentine Glossybox. The box is a really lovely colour and you get a cute sweet as well. Next month will be the first time I receive the regular Glossybox with their like pink coloured box.

Here is what I got.
1.    EYEKO Skinny Eyeliner in Emerald Green (Full Size)
I haven’t tried this out on my eye yet but I am expecting good things, because it was quite soft and pigmented when I swatched it on my hand. The beauty card, that comes with every glossybox says this eyeliner Provides “precise definition and intense colour with a long-lasting finish”.
Visit www.eyeko.com and enter GLOSSY in the comment box to get a free gift with any purchase. (Expires 01/03/2012)

2.    ORLY Nail Lacquer in Ruby (5.3ml Sample Size)
I have not tried this out yet, but the colour looks really nice and it is my first Orly polish. The beauty card says “Orly, the top Californian brand, offers an infinite range of colours”.

3.    WELEDA One Step Cleanser & Toner (10ml Sample Size)
I tried this once and you don’t get enough to see if it works, but it doesn’t really interest me, I am just using it to use it up! I also don’t like that you have to wash it off and the scent reminds of a children’s cough medicine, which I like by the way, very lemony! The beauty card says “Weleda One-Step Cleanser & Toner is a handy two-in-one pack ideal for travel”.

Get £5 and FREE P&P off your next order, when you spend £15 or more, by visiting www.weleda.co.uk and entering the code GLOSSY when you checkout. (Expires 01/03/2012)

4.    FAB (First Aid Beauty) Gentle Body Wash (56.7g Sample Size)
I have tried this and it doesn’t interest me at all! I also don’t like that it does not smell of anything, I buy body washes for their scent. I am just going to use this up!. The beauty card says “A moisturising, irritant-free everyday cleanser ideal for even the most sensitive skin”.

Visit www.boots.com to view the full range.

5.    MURAD Hybrids Skin Perfecting Primer – Dewy Finish (5ml Sample Size)
I haven’t used this yet but I will probably just use it as a basic primer and not really take much notice of the skin perfecting, as the sample is too small to do so, but we’ll see!. The beauty card says “Oil-free primer ignites a radiant glow, powered by light-enhancing minerals”.

Get 33% off your order when you enter the code GLOSSYPR at the checkout on www.murad.co.uk. (Expires 31/03/2012)

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

Oden's Eye Solmåne Eyeshadow Palette

I first heard of this indie brand through watching Angelika Oles’ beauty channel on YouTube. Oden’s Eye is a Swedish indie brand and they make Norse mythology themed products. This is one of two eyeshadow palettes I decided to purchase; I also picked up the two matching highlighter palettes.   THE PACKAGING The packaging is small and rectangular in shape. It is made out of cardboard and it has a sort of textured covering (like on pogs). The design and imagery is so unique to the brand. Solmåne means the sun and moon in Swedish. Sol represents the Sun Goddess and Måne represents the Moon God. Both Gods are represented on the packaging. There is a colour split of warm and cool toned shades (lavender, pink, orange & yellow) along with moon, star and Norse symbols. The wheel around the Gods is metallic gold, so it really reflects the light when you move the palette around. The eyeshadow shade names are printed on the back of the palette. The palette has a magnetic closing/opening, ...
