Haul: Some Little Things

I have a haul for you today and I actually went shopping yesterday, but I forgot to haul the items because I was tired. I didn’t really buy much but the majority of the items I actually needed because I had run out.

Firstly I went to Superdrug and picked up three Barry M Gelly Nails Paints because there was a 3 for 2 offer on them, so I got one free. The shades I got are Grapefruit, Dragon Fruit and Papaya, they were £3.99 each. Also from Superdrug I bought two of the MUA Power Pout Colour Intense Tint & Balm sticks in the shades Irreplaceable and Justify and they were £3 each.

After Superdrug I went to two bargain stores and picked up two cans of Right Guard Women Total Defence 5 48H Invisible Power Anti-Perspirant Deodorant in the small 150ml size, which were £1 each and two boxes of my Schwarzkopf Palette Intensive Cream Colour Hair Dye in the colour 678 Ruby Red, which is my favourite at the moment and they were £2.49 each. The last shop I visited yesterday was Morrisons and I just picked up the Daily Care Mouthwash in Cool Mint for 58p and So Clear Deep Clean Cleanser for £1.49.

A few weeks ago I went to Superdrug to pick up some skin care products from Soap & Glory. I got The Greatest Scrub of All Facial Exfoliator for £9 and The Fab Pore Facial Peal. I didn’t realise until I got home that it was buy one get one half price for Soap & Glory, so I got the facial peel for £4 instead of £8 which was a very nice surprise.

That is all my recent purchases, nothing really exciting but I am trying to save money and use what I already have. Either near the end of this year or the start of next year I will probably buy more stuff, but until then you will have to make do with little bits and bobs for hauls!

Thank you for reading J

Glossybox #25 - February 2019

This is my third Glossybox since I re-subscribed last year. It is also the Valentine’s Day themed box. I would say that so far, this box seems to be the one most tailored to my usual interests. I received seven products in this box, technically six because two go hand in hand. HUDA BEAUTY Lip Contour in Venus This lip pencil formula is supposed to be waterproof and transfer-free. It should glide on effortlessly and give your lips an intense shot of colour. You can use it to contour or colour your lips or pair it with a lipstick. Venus is a warm beige nude shade. It glides onto your lips very easy, but it feels a little tacky when you fill your whole lips in with it. I’m not sure how often I would use this seeing as though I have never used lip liner. I prefer liquid lipsticks and I don’t feel the need to line my lips before applying it. | 1.20g - £16.00 | NAILS INC Nail Varnish in Status Ready This nail polish should be long lasting and super glossy. It is a deep che

Jeffree Star Cosmetics Jawbreaker Palette

I bought this palette back when it first launched (summer 2019) and I was interested in it so I could experiment more with bright colours. The colour selection definitely doesn’t disappoint and I was expecting it to be the same quality as the Blood Sugar Palette, if not slightly better! The packaging is quite a large rectangular shape and made out of metallic pink cardboard with colourful dots/dashes all over representing a jawbreaker pattern. The name of the palette is in a slightly raised font. It has a magnetic closing which you lift to reveal the twenty-four eyeshadow pans arranged on a white background. The other side is the same pattern as the front cover with a mirror. You can purchase it for £54.00 ($58.00) from JeffreeStarCosmetics.com and BeautyBay.com. You get twenty-four 1.50g eyeshadows in Matte (M), Shimmer (S) and Metallic (ME) finishes. Swatch Stencil: Stripes Double 14 Pan by SwatchPerfect.co.uk Virgin - bone white (M) Good Morning - soft pink

e.l.f Earth & Ocean Palette

I haven’t purchased anything from e.l.f in the longest time. I happened upon a post of this palette on Instagram and the complimentary comments really peaked my interest in trying it for myself. Palettes I have tried from e.l.f. in the past haven’t been the greatest of quality; I kind of associate the brand as being for children, beginners or natural beauty wearers. I was also interested in the Retro Paradise Palette , but I thought I would get more use out of this one at the moment.   THE PACKAGING The packaging is quite simple with a clear/black outlined plastic rectangular shape. The fronting is transparent so that you can see the eyeshadows from the outside of the palette. It has a clip closing, which you push apart to reveal the inside. The square eyeshadow pans are spread out across a black base and the shade names are printed in grey font under each pan. THE EYESHADOWS & FORMULA You get eighteen 0.94g eyeshadows in Matte (M), Metallic (ME), Glitter (G), Satin (S) and Shimmer
