Maybelline The Mega Plush Volum' Express Mascara

Everytime Maybelline bring out a new Volum’ Express mascara, I just have to go out a buy it. Especially when the £2 off introductory offer is on!

The tube is a light turquoise colour with sheen and it has a shiny fuchsia band between the applicator and tube, which is the same colour as the writing. On the back of the tube there is also the brush type diagram. The brush is kind of barrel shaped with a point. The bristles are light and soft and made of some sort of fibre material. The formula is a glossy gel mousse. You get 9.6ml of product inside the tube and the shade I have is Black.

This mascara is supposed to create massive volume and be soft to the touch. It should also be less harmful to your lashes because it has 40% less hard waxes, which means your lashes shouldn’t feel hard and dry, even when the product has dried. It is also Maybelline’s first gel mousse formulated mascara.

I really like this mascara! I really love the Volum’ Express line of mascaras anyway and not one of them has ever left me disappointed. The brush is quite flexible and you do have to watch how much pressure you apply when you are inserting it back into the tube. It makes your lashes look bold, defined, separated and voluminous. It is very easy to apply and build and it is clump-free and smudge-proof. Because it has a gel mousse formula and 40% less waxes, it leaves your lashes feeling soft and smooth.

This mascara is brilliant and I definitely recommend it!

Colourpop Limoncello Palette

I first saw the tease of this palette on Trendmood’s Instagram and it instantly attracted me. I love the packaging and colour story, it just reminds me of summer. When I first heard of these I knew they would be perfect for me. I played it safe with the first shade I bought and knew I would eventually and gradually work my way through the colours to try to be more comfortable with brighter colours with a more understated and low maintenance finish. The packaging is a chubby crayon with a plastic barrel and each barrel is a different colour, which corresponds to the product shade. It has a silver band around the base of the barrel, which you have to turn to dispense the crayon and the plastic cap of the crayon matches the colour of each barrel. When you twist the band to dispense the product, you can see 3.3cm of the actual crayon, but there could be more hiding in the tube and you would just have to use up what you can see to find out for sure. As you may be able to guess from the title, I have done something I shouldn’t have. I PURCHASED THIS BABY! Source: Unknown I was just browsing through BeautyBay.com and came across it. I then made a split decision to buy it. It wasn’t officially released when I bought it and there is still no mention of it on BeautyBay’s Facebook page. The last that was said about it was that there is still not a confirmed launched date and they would keep us updated.
