Serial Sampler #14

Today I have a mini mascara to share with you.

It is Roller Lash by Benefit and it is a 3.0g sample of the full size mascara.

It is described as having a hook n roll brush which is able to grab each lash. It should lift, separate and curl your lashes. It has an instant curve setting formula which should last for twelve hours.
This is mascara is brilliant! It separates, lifts and curls your lashes and the effects are very long lasting and it can actually last for twelve hours onwards. The formula has a deep black colour and you can get a muted false lash look. The formula isn’t clumpy but if you apply quite a few coats you can get a slightly clumpy look. The mascara can smudge and transfer if your eyes are wet or if you rub them. The brush is very easy to use and coat all of your lashes. I do like this mascara and I would definitely consider purchasing a full sized tube of it. The only thing I would change is the volume it gives, I wish it gave more. I have tried better volumising mascaras, but this mascara actually separates and defines, which a lot of volumising mascaras don’t.

You can buy the full sized tube for £20.50 and it is available for sale at BenefitCosmetics.com/UK and Sephora.

Perfume Power! - Vera Wang 'Rock Princess'

I received this perfume as a gift a couple of years ago, but I had heard about it before. The bottle design is the same as the previous Princess fragrances, but it has a rock twist. It has a darker theme, a black heart with silver patterns on the front. I actually really like the bottle design, that is what appealed to me the most, plus around the neck of the bottle you can remove the band and wear it as a ring. The fragrance notes are:- Top Notes: Peach, Raspberry & Bergamot Middle Notes: Heliotrope, Rose, Jasmine & Lily Base Notes: Cashmere Wood, Musk, Iris & Coconut To me it doesn’t really smell of anything and what I can smell is very weak and watered down. It kind of smells a bit like sweet alcohol. Although it has quite a few fruits in it, I can’t really smell any of them; I can smell the floral scents and a hint of musk, but it is not overpowering and it doesn’t last long on the skin, unless you spray tons, but the fragrance is nothing special....

Too Faced Pumpkin Spice Palette

I first saw a preview of this palette in early August on the Trendmood Instagram page. I just knew I had to have it. I also own and love the Gingerbread Spice and Gingerbread Extra Spicy Palettes by Too Faced. These are the only types of holiday palettes that actually interest me from Too Faced. All of their other holiday palettes tend to be gimmicky (but pretty looking) and not good quality. THE PACKAGING The packaging is a rounded rectangular shaped tin in a beautiful pumpkin orange colour. The design on the front kind of looks like spread on a cracker. The name of the palette is printed in two different raised fonts. It has a magnetic closing, which you lift up to reveal the inside of the palette. The little rectangular eyeshadow pans are arranged across a metallic gold base, with the shade names printed in a small black font above each pan. There is also a mirror on the underside of the lid of the palette. THE EYESHADOWS & FORMULA You get eighteen 0.70g eyeshadows in Matte (M),...
