Serial Sampler #17

I chose this sample as my free gift with purchase and I hadn’t heard of the brand before. It happens to be part of a series of four fragrances and they are all unisex/genderless. The designs of the full sized bottles are very interesting and artsy. Looking at the four, had I been able to pick which one to receive, I most likely would have chosen the one called 10am Flirt as it seems the fruitiest based of the four.

The sample I have is Santal Sky by KIERIN NYC and it is a 1.5ml spritzer sample of the eau de parfum.

It contains a mixture notes, such as; Saffron, Sandalwood, Vetiver and Cardamom.

It smells quite strong and spicy; it kind of reminds me of a hospital smell. I’m not into it at all! You really get the hit of the woody notes and it almost smells ashy/burnt. I personally would never wear this type of scent. It does last a while on your skin, which is great news if you like it. I can’t really recommend this one I’m afraid. It has put me off trying the other ones in this range!

Urban Decay Naked Palette DISCONTINUED!

I was quite shocked to hear it because it is a very popular and famous neutral palette and I remember really wanting it when it was first released, but it was a while before I actually purchased it. Apparently it has been around for 8 years now already and they have extended the Naked range vastly since then. I actually only own the Naked Heat and the Naked Heat Petite Palettes from the range now. I used to have the original Naked, Naked 2, Naked 3, Naked Smoky and Naked Basics 2, but I got rid of them all because I wasn’t really using them and I had so many other palettes that give you a similar if not the same look. L'ORÉAL Volume Million Lashes So Couture Mascara

I bought this mascara and while ago with the intentions of reviewing it, but I only wear mascara when I wear eyeshadow, which is not very often these days. It has taken me a while to get around to trying out this mascara. The packaging is made of purple and gold plastic and it has a sort of tapered oval shape. The brush is small and made of rubber. It has longer bristles towards the bottom and shorter bristles at the top. The formula is creamy and kind of thick, but it does feel lightweight on your lashes. You get 9.5ml of product in the tube and the shade is Noir/Black. You can buy it for £10.99 from places such as Boots (UK), Superdrug (UK) and Ulta (USA). It is supposed to give your lashes definition and volume without making them clumpy or feeling stiff. The couture brush should coat every lash without clumps and it has small soft bristles, which should reach each lash and evenly spread the mascara.
