Jeffree Star Cosmetics Jawbreaker Palette

I bought this palette back when it first launched (summer 2019) and I was interested in it so I could experiment more with bright colours. The colour selection definitely doesn’t disappoint and I was expecting it to be the same quality as the Blood Sugar Palette, if not slightly better!
The packaging is quite a large rectangular shape and made out of metallic pink cardboard with colourful dots/dashes all over representing a jawbreaker pattern. The name of the palette is in a slightly raised font. It has a magnetic closing which you lift to reveal the twenty-four eyeshadow pans arranged on a white background. The other side is the same pattern as the front cover with a mirror. You can purchase it for £54.00 ($58.00) from JeffreeStarCosmetics.com and BeautyBay.com.

You get twenty-four 1.50g eyeshadows in Matte (M), Shimmer (S) and Metallic (ME) finishes.

The following shades are Pressed Pigments and are not intended for use around the immediate eye area; Bubble Gum, Licorice, Fuck, Gum Drop, Snack, And What?, Orange Juice, Suck, Cotton Candy, Bite Me and Cherry Wet. Pressed pigments can cause temporary staining to the area of skin they are applied to. It also states that a shade called Dark Red is also not recommended for use around the immediate eye area, but there is no such shade with that name in the palette!
The eyeshadows should be buttery soft, immensely pigmented and extremely easy to blend. This palette is also vegan and cruelty-free, as is Jeffree Star Cosmetics as a whole brand.

This palette is amazing! The packaging is not too oversized and is more compact than other JSC palettes. You also have all the colours you need for a beautiful summer look. The eyeshadows are immensely pigmented and incredibly soft. The mattes are easy to blend and all the shades apply like a dream. You obviously get a little kick-back in the pans and you only get fallout from the extreme metallic shades. You can use the metallic shades wet for more intensity and it may help with the fallout issue as they will be less loose. I always recommend eye primer and glitter glue. The metallics are best applied with your finger, but you can use a stiff flat synthetic brush if you’d rather. My only issues with the palette are that the colour story is lovely, but also kind of random. You definitely have to be quite creative to make use of all of the shades. I am also slightly put off wearing some of the metallic shades as I did get extreme fallout throughout the day from Cotton Candy. When I cleaned up the fallout, it happened again later on in the day! I’m not sure if I used glitter glue with that shade, so that would be a must to apply when I next wear that shade. My favourite shades are Snack, Orange Juice and Lemon Drop. Overall I do really love this palette and it is great for experimenting with.

L'ORÉAL Volume Million Lashes So Couture Mascara

I bought this mascara and while ago with the intentions of reviewing it, but I only wear mascara when I wear eyeshadow, which is not very often these days. It has taken me a while to get around to trying out this mascara. The packaging is made of purple and gold plastic and it has a sort of tapered oval shape. The brush is small and made of rubber. It has longer bristles towards the bottom and shorter bristles at the top. The formula is creamy and kind of thick, but it does feel lightweight on your lashes. You get 9.5ml of product in the tube and the shade is Noir/Black. You can buy it for £10.99 from places such as Boots (UK), Superdrug (UK) and Ulta (USA). It is supposed to give your lashes definition and volume without making them clumpy or feeling stiff. The couture brush should coat every lash without clumps and it has small soft bristles, which should reach each lash and evenly spread the mascara. There’s nothing special about the packaging it is just a nice masc...

Haul: Small Unmentioned Purchases

For today’s post I am going to share with you a few products that I have recently purchased and have not mentioned. I actually purchased one of the products last year but I thought I would include it anyway because I have not mentioned it before. The product I bought last year was from Asda and it is the Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 HR Cream/Gel Eyeshadow in Pink Gold . I bought it for £4.99 and I got it because I thought it was limited edition but as it turned out it is actually permanent. It is a gorgeous colour! Now for the products I have bought recently this year. The Urban Decay Oz: The Great and Powerful Theodora Palette  for £35 from BeautyBay.com. I have used this palette a few times and I really like it. From Superdrug I picked up a Maybelline theROCKET Volum’Express Mascara  in the shade Black because I was interested in trying it and I got it for £5.99 because it had a £2 off offer. From Home Bargains I picked up another can of the TRESemmé Extra Hold...
