Perfume Power! - Christina Aguilera 'Signature'


This was the first ever perfume I bought myself and I was still at school at the time. I only ever had the one bottle and it has been many a year since I used it up and last caught a whiff of this scent! I recently had a craving to smell it again, so I decided to get myself a bottle.

The bottle is made of glass and has a sort of hourglass/silhouette shape. There is a black flowery lace design all over the front of the bottle. The bottle design is apparently inspired by a dress that the designer Marcel Rochas made for actress Mae West. The clear plastic cap is almost diamond shaped and it lifts off to reveal a spritzer, which you press down to dispense the scent. I love the bottle design it is very simple, but elegant. The scent is very fresh, feminine and sensual smelling. It is mostly fruity, but it has soft and sparkling floral undertones. I have fallen in love with this scent all over again! I can mostly smell the peony, plum, jasmine, vanilla, white musk and amber notes. It is not an overpowering scent at all. I would class it as a daytime wear and it kind of reminds me of spring. It does last a very long time on the skin, but it will fade throughout the day as it is a soft fragrance. I am so glad that I decided to purchase this perfume again and I am happy it was still available for purchase as it is now thirteen years old! I would highly recommend it and I would consider re-purchasing it again once I have finished this bottle (if it is still available - fingers crossed!).

Morphe X Jaclyn Hill Volume II Palette

This palette has been out for a while now and I did purchase it a while ago, but I have only just decided to really play with it. Morphe palettes in general put me off because of the size of them, no shade names, boring packaging and too many shades in some palettes. The colour story of this palette in particular is really attractive to me. I didn’t buy Volume I as I didn’t want to jump on the band wagon, the size of the packaging and the colour story is just boring to me. I did pick up the Vault Collection (four palettes) and what a massive disappointment it was too (now decluttered)!! My Favourite TV Series

I have already shared with you some current favourite songs and my favourite films. I thought it was now time to mention my favourite TV series. Here are my top ten favourite TV series:-   Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997-2003) This series is about a teenager who becomes the next vampire slayer. Only one slayer is born into every generation and one has to die for another to be activated. It is a kind of coming of age story and I love strong female characters. I also just loved the fight scenes. I was only four when this series first came out, so I did miss a few seasons at first. About five years ago, I did re-watch all seven seasons. I was sad it ended, but there are only so many monsters you can introduce and slay before it gets monotonous!
