Haul: CheapSmells + More!

Hello, yesterday I received the two perfumes I ordered from CheapSmells.com, one I have smelt before I love it and the other I bought to try.

I bought DKNY Be Delicious Fresh Blossom (30ml) for £22.95. I actually bought this for my sister’s birthday last year and quite liked it myself, as we had tested it way before her birthday. At the time I was still in college and didn’t have a job so I couldn’t justify spending that money on myself, when I already had a lot of perfume, plus my sister got to have it as her ‘exclusive smell’ for the year, and now it’s MY turn! lol J

Lastly I got Aquolina Pink Sugar (30ml) for £13.95. I had heard all the hype about it on YouTube and I knew I wouldn’t be able to find it in the UK, but I happen to have found it whilst I was looking at other perfumes on CheapSmells, so I was happy! I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I knew it would smell quite sweet. And I actually don’t like it. The bottle is very cute, but the scent makes me feel a little queasy. As you can imagine it smells very sweet, but is also smells quite vanilla, which I am not fond of. I will try and wear it and see how I feel, if my opinion hasn’t change I will give it to my mum or sister to try.
I also went shopping on Thursday to get some bits for my kitten Billy (18 weeks old, I bought him Tuesday), I won’t haul his stuff, but did I buy some items from Superdrug. Maybelline was on a 3 for 2 offer, so I went to see if there were any colour tattoos and if there was I would buy one and maybe try an eyeliner from them. So I ended up getting a Maybelline 24hr Color Tattoo in 05 Eternal Gold (45 Bold Gold), which cost £4.99 and two of their Master Drama Khol Liners in Ultra Violet and Ultra Black, which were £4.49 each, but I got one free because of the offer.
I also forgot to mention something I bought in March. I got an Elle & Blair Glitzy-Glam customised brush holder (£12.62 + £11.08 P&P + £1.79 tax = £25.49). I chose the letter ‘R’, main colour Purple and secondary colour Lavender. It is really lovely, but I kind of regret it because it cost way too much for what it is, but like I said it is really lovely. I wasn’t expecting the tax at all, the company taxed the 79p and my bank charge you £1 per overseas transaction! I am actually looking into making my own because I have a small glass, with my face brushes in at the moment, so I want to customise it so it goes with my Glitzy-Glam one.

P.S. My next post will be a review! J

Glossybox #25 - February 2019

This is my third Glossybox since I re-subscribed last year. It is also the Valentine’s Day themed box. I would say that so far, this box seems to be the one most tailored to my usual interests. I received seven products in this box, technically six because two go hand in hand. HUDA BEAUTY Lip Contour in Venus This lip pencil formula is supposed to be waterproof and transfer-free. It should glide on effortlessly and give your lips an intense shot of colour. You can use it to contour or colour your lips or pair it with a lipstick. Venus is a warm beige nude shade. It glides onto your lips very easy, but it feels a little tacky when you fill your whole lips in with it. I’m not sure how often I would use this seeing as though I have never used lip liner. I prefer liquid lipsticks and I don’t feel the need to line my lips before applying it. | 1.20g - £16.00 | NAILS INC Nail Varnish in Status Ready This nail polish should be long lasting and super glossy. e.l.f Earth & Ocean Palette

I haven’t purchased anything from e.l.f in the longest time. I happened upon a post of this palette on Instagram and the complimentary comments really peaked my interest in trying it for myself. Palettes I have tried from e.l.f. in the past haven’t been the greatest of quality; I kind of associate the brand as being for children, beginners or natural beauty wearers. I was also interested in the Retro Paradise Palette , but I thought I would get more use out of this one at the moment.   THE PACKAGING The packaging is quite simple with a clear/black outlined plastic rectangular shape. The fronting is transparent so that you can see the eyeshadows from the outside of the palette. It has a clip closing, which you push apart to reveal the inside. The square eyeshadow pans are spread out across a black base and the shade names are printed in grey font under each pan. THE EYESHADOWS & FORMULA You get eighteen 0.94g eyeshadows in Matte (M), Metallic (ME), Glitter (G), Satin (S) and Shimmer

Jeffree Star Cosmetics Jawbreaker Palette

I bought this palette back when it first launched (summer 2019) and I was interested in it so I could experiment more with bright colours. The colour selection definitely doesn’t disappoint and I was expecting it to be the same quality as the Blood Sugar Palette, if not slightly better! The packaging is quite a large rectangular shape and made out of metallic pink cardboard with colourful dots/dashes all over representing a jawbreaker pattern. The name of the palette is in a slightly raised font. It has a magnetic closing which you lift to reveal the twenty-four eyeshadow pans arranged on a white background. The other side is the same pattern as the front cover with a mirror. You can purchase it for £54.00 ($58.00) from JeffreeStarCosmetics.com and BeautyBay.com. You get twenty-four 1.50g eyeshadows in Matte (M), Shimmer (S) and Metallic (ME) finishes. Swatch Stencil: Stripes Double 14 Pan by SwatchPerfect.co.uk Virgin - bone white (M) Good Morning - soft pink
