Glossybox #7 - February 2014

I saw an advertisement for this particular box and I instantly fell in love with the design, so I had to re-subscribe straight away to get it. The box design looks just as lovely in person and I will keep it and re-use it for storage. Here is what I got in this box:-
Ciaté Paint Pot in Play Date
This product is full size and it is a gorgeous bold pop pink shade with a touch of coral in a crème finish. Mine didn’t come with the cute bow decoration, but it is still a distinctive and cute design, unlike any other polish I own. The colour however is similar to what I already own, but I still love it and will definitely wear it.

H2K Je t’adore Aromatic Shampoo & Sensual Hydrating Conditioner
I’ve never of this brand before and the products smell lovely. I am just not into hair care or trying new products on my hair, so I will probably give these to my sister.
30ml & 40ml | £2.48

Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick in 725 Tantalizing Taupe
This lipstick is part of the new Stripped Nudes collection and it is a slightly beige/taupe pink nude shade. It is not typically a shade of lipstick I would choose, but I will give it a try as it is my first Maybelline lipstick ever!
2.5g | £6.99

Nougat Sparkling Body Shimmer
I have not heard of this brand before either and this particular product doesn’t interest me at all. I dislike body butters/lotions anyway, so why would I go and use a glittery one? I will probably give this away.
100ml | £14 (250ml)

Sleep In Rollers Backcombing Brush
This is something I have never tried before and I am not sure I want to, but I suppose I should give it a go! If I change my mind, my sister can have this too.

Lindt Lindor Treat Bar
I don’t eat Lindt chocolate because Cadbury’s is the BEST! This chocolate bar was not bad, it is very rich and it melts in your mouth. One bar was definitely enough though! I probably wouldn’t go out and buy it, but it was a nice added extra and Valentine’s treat.

You also get the February 2014 Edition on Glossy Magazine, which is a first for me and not typically something I would be interested in, but it is a good addition.

Overall I wasn’t really impressed. The only product I would actually use is the nail polish; I already ate the chocolate bar! I gave the majority of the products to my sister because she would get more use out of them. I’ve said before, hair care products are wasted on me because I have no interest and I have to use particular products. I only subscribed to this one box and this box hasn’t made me want to re-subscribe completely. I may re-subscribe again when the next ‘special’ box is due, but other than that, I will not miss Glossybox, sorry!

What did you think of this month’s box?

Glossybox #25 - February 2019

This is my third Glossybox since I re-subscribed last year. It is also the Valentine’s Day themed box. I would say that so far, this box seems to be the one most tailored to my usual interests. I received seven products in this box, technically six because two go hand in hand. HUDA BEAUTY Lip Contour in Venus This lip pencil formula is supposed to be waterproof and transfer-free. It should glide on effortlessly and give your lips an intense shot of colour. You can use it to contour or colour your lips or pair it with a lipstick. Venus is a warm beige nude shade. It glides onto your lips very easy, but it feels a little tacky when you fill your whole lips in with it. I’m not sure how often I would use this seeing as though I have never used lip liner. I prefer liquid lipsticks and I don’t feel the need to line my lips before applying it. | 1.20g - £16.00 | NAILS INC Nail Varnish in Status Ready This nail polish should be long lasting and super glossy. It is a deep che

Jeffree Star Cosmetics Jawbreaker Palette

I bought this palette back when it first launched (summer 2019) and I was interested in it so I could experiment more with bright colours. The colour selection definitely doesn’t disappoint and I was expecting it to be the same quality as the Blood Sugar Palette, if not slightly better! The packaging is quite a large rectangular shape and made out of metallic pink cardboard with colourful dots/dashes all over representing a jawbreaker pattern. The name of the palette is in a slightly raised font. It has a magnetic closing which you lift to reveal the twenty-four eyeshadow pans arranged on a white background. The other side is the same pattern as the front cover with a mirror. You can purchase it for £54.00 ($58.00) from JeffreeStarCosmetics.com and BeautyBay.com. You get twenty-four 1.50g eyeshadows in Matte (M), Shimmer (S) and Metallic (ME) finishes. Swatch Stencil: Stripes Double 14 Pan by SwatchPerfect.co.uk Virgin - bone white (M) Good Morning - soft pink

e.l.f Earth & Ocean Palette

I haven’t purchased anything from e.l.f in the longest time. I happened upon a post of this palette on Instagram and the complimentary comments really peaked my interest in trying it for myself. Palettes I have tried from e.l.f. in the past haven’t been the greatest of quality; I kind of associate the brand as being for children, beginners or natural beauty wearers. I was also interested in the Retro Paradise Palette , but I thought I would get more use out of this one at the moment.   THE PACKAGING The packaging is quite simple with a clear/black outlined plastic rectangular shape. The fronting is transparent so that you can see the eyeshadows from the outside of the palette. It has a clip closing, which you push apart to reveal the inside. The square eyeshadow pans are spread out across a black base and the shade names are printed in grey font under each pan. THE EYESHADOWS & FORMULA You get eighteen 0.94g eyeshadows in Matte (M), Metallic (ME), Glitter (G), Satin (S) and Shimmer
