Review: Maybelline Electro Baby Lips

I have been interested in the baby lips for a few years now and I was going to purchase a couple from the regular range, but I soon changed my mind when I saw these beauties advertised!
The packaging is quite simple, but very nice. It has a black plastic base with a clear plastic cap, so you can clearly see each shade. The font colour reflects what each shade looks like and the name is clearly printed on the side. The black base twists up to dispense the electrified balm. The formula is very smooth and really glossy. You get 4.5g of product in each stick.
I picked up two of the shades:-
Strike A Rose - soft deep pink (smells of passionfruit)
Pink Shock - fuchsia berry pink (smells of raspberries)
These balms claim to offer eight hours’ worth of hydration with a sheer neon/electric kick of colour and renew your lips over time.

I really love these lip balms! They are very creamy and glide on to your lips; they also feel smooth and hydrating. The coverage can be shear, but they are very buildable. The brighter the colour you pick up, the brighter your lips look. It looks like you are just wearing a very glossy lipstick! The lasting power is around two hours without refreshments. My favourite shade out of the two is Pink Shock.

Overall these balms are brilliant and offer great colour coverage and they moisturise your lips. I just wish the formula was drier, which might make the colour on your lips last longer. After trying these, I would be interested in trying any new releases from the Baby Lips line.

Jeffree Star Cosmetics Jawbreaker Palette

I bought this palette back when it first launched (summer 2019) and I was interested in it so I could experiment more with bright colours. The colour selection definitely doesn’t disappoint and I was expecting it to be the same quality as the Blood Sugar Palette, if not slightly better! The packaging is quite a large rectangular shape and made out of metallic pink cardboard with colourful dots/dashes all over representing a jawbreaker pattern. The name of the palette is in a slightly raised font. It has a magnetic closing which you lift to reveal the twenty-four eyeshadow pans arranged on a white background. The other side is the same pattern as the front cover with a mirror. You can purchase it for £54.00 ($58.00) from JeffreeStarCosmetics.com and BeautyBay.com. You get twenty-four 1.50g eyeshadows in Matte (M), Shimmer (S) and Metallic (ME) finishes. Glossybox #25 - February 2019

This is my third Glossybox since I re-subscribed last year. It is also the Valentine’s Day themed box. I would say that so far, this box seems to be the one most tailored to my usual interests. I received seven products in this box, technically six because two go hand in hand. HUDA BEAUTY Lip Contour in Venus This lip pencil formula is supposed to be waterproof and transfer-free. It should glide on effortlessly and give your lips an intense shot of colour. You can use it to contour or colour your lips or pair it with a lipstick. Venus is a warm beige nude shade. It glides onto your lips very easy, but it feels a little tacky when you fill your whole lips in with it. I’m not sure how often I would use this seeing as though I have never used lip liner. I prefer liquid lipsticks and I don’t feel the need to line my lips before applying it. | 1.20g - £16.00 | NAILS INC Nail Varnish in Status Ready This nail polish should be long lasting and super glossy. e.l.f Earth & Ocean Palette

I haven’t purchased anything from e.l.f in the longest time. I happened upon a post of this palette on Instagram and the complimentary comments really peaked my interest in trying it for myself. Palettes I have tried from e.l.f. in the past haven’t been the greatest of quality; I kind of associate the brand as being for children, beginners or natural beauty wearers. I was also interested in the Retro Paradise Palette , but I thought I would get more use out of this one at the moment.   THE PACKAGING The packaging is quite simple with a clear/black outlined plastic rectangular shape. The fronting is transparent so that you can see the eyeshadows from the outside of the palette. It has a clip closing, which you push apart to reveal the inside. The square eyeshadow pans are spread out across a black base and the shade names are printed in grey font under each pan. THE EYESHADOWS & FORMULA You get eighteen 0.94g eyeshadows in Matte (M), Metallic (ME), Glitter (G), Satin (S) and Shimmer
