Colourpop Limoncello Palette

I first saw the tease of this palette on Trendmood’s Instagram and it instantly attracted me. I love the packaging and colour story, it just reminds me of summer. The design on the palette would also make a lovely and classy wallpaper pattern. This palette is part of the Limoncello Collection. THE PACKAGING The packaging is made out of cardboard, which is wrapped with a white, blue and yellow flowery and lemon design. The palette name and branding is printed in gold and the shade names are printed on the back of the palette. It has a magnetic closing, which you lift up to reveal the inside of the palette. The circle eyeshadow pans are arranged on a pale yellow, lemon skin textured base with the shade names printed above them at an angle in blue font. There is also a mirror on the underside of the lid. When I first heard of these I knew they would be perfect for me. I played it safe with the first shade I bought and knew I would eventually and gradually work my way through the colours to try to be more comfortable with brighter colours with a more understated and low maintenance finish. The packaging is a chubby crayon with a plastic barrel and each barrel is a different colour, which corresponds to the product shade. It has a silver band around the base of the barrel, which you have to turn to dispense the crayon and the plastic cap of the crayon matches the colour of each barrel. When you twist the band to dispense the product, you can see 3.3cm of the actual crayon, but there could be more hiding in the tube and you would just have to use up what you can see to find out for sure. As you may be able to guess from the title, I have done something I shouldn’t have. I PURCHASED THIS BABY! Source: Unknown I was just browsing through BeautyBay.com and came across it. I then made a split decision to buy it. It wasn’t officially released when I bought it and there is still no mention of it on BeautyBay’s Facebook page. The last that was said about it was that there is still not a confirmed launched date and they would keep us updated. Either way my order has been confirmed by e-mail and it should arrive just after Christmas, ready for me to review for the New Year! After I received my confirmation, I checked Twitter and the launch notice was put out this morning! I don’t think a lot of people realise this because I didn’t and they always (or usually) post big news to Facebook first!
