Glossybox #13 - January 2015

My first Glossybox post of the year, and it won’t be the last! This box is actually quite exciting and you also get a HellFresh.co.uk £25.00 gift card and that next month preview card. For February’s preview, everyone will get a full size Royal Apothic Tintie Lip Butter in their box. Let’s see what I got in my first box of 2015:-
15g - £10.00
I have tested this and it is a nice product. The colour is a bit odd, but as an eye base would look pretty. It spreads quite a long way, which I don’t like for a cheekbone highlighter because it’s a bit messy, no matter how much you squeeze out! The packaging is also very nice and the tube comes quite full with the product.

200ml - £9.00
I am quite excited to try this because I love trying face cleaners. This one smells quite nice and the description sounds very promising.

4.25g - £4.00
I’m not really into lip balms and if I need to use one, I tend to go for a tinted one. It does smell kind of pleasant, fruity and like really sweet brown sugar.

£4.00
I am always interested in trying eyeliner pencils and I am kind of glad that this shade isn’t black. I haven’t tried it fully yet, but from the swatch I did, the formula seems very smooth.

5g - £7.00
The packaging of this product is quite nice, but I don’t like the concept of application! I prefer pan blushes and the colour looks quite nice, but too bright and rosy for me. Also the powder smells quite strange; I wouldn’t purchase this product myself.

This is a really good box and I can get use out of everything (but the £25.00 voucher). The most interesting product to me is the toner and the least interesting product is the lip balm. I am excited for next month’s box, mostly because it’s free because I collected enough Glossydots!

What are your thoughts on this box?

Glossybox #25 - February 2019

This is my third Glossybox since I re-subscribed last year. It is also the Valentine’s Day themed box. I would say that so far, this box seems to be the one most tailored to my usual interests. I received seven products in this box, technically six because two go hand in hand. HUDA BEAUTY Lip Contour in Venus This lip pencil formula is supposed to be waterproof and transfer-free. It should glide on effortlessly and give your lips an intense shot of colour. You can use it to contour or colour your lips or pair it with a lipstick. Venus is a warm beige nude shade. It glides onto your lips very easy, but it feels a little tacky when you fill your whole lips in with it. I’m not sure how often I would use this seeing as though I have never used lip liner. I prefer liquid lipsticks and I don’t feel the need to line my lips before applying it. | 1.20g - £16.00 | NAILS INC Nail Varnish in Status Ready This nail polish should be long lasting and super glossy. It is a deep che

Jeffree Star Cosmetics Jawbreaker Palette

I bought this palette back when it first launched (summer 2019) and I was interested in it so I could experiment more with bright colours. The colour selection definitely doesn’t disappoint and I was expecting it to be the same quality as the Blood Sugar Palette, if not slightly better! The packaging is quite a large rectangular shape and made out of metallic pink cardboard with colourful dots/dashes all over representing a jawbreaker pattern. The name of the palette is in a slightly raised font. It has a magnetic closing which you lift to reveal the twenty-four eyeshadow pans arranged on a white background. The other side is the same pattern as the front cover with a mirror. You can purchase it for £54.00 ($58.00) from JeffreeStarCosmetics.com and BeautyBay.com. You get twenty-four 1.50g eyeshadows in Matte (M), Shimmer (S) and Metallic (ME) finishes. Swatch Stencil: Stripes Double 14 Pan by SwatchPerfect.co.uk Virgin - bone white (M) Good Morning - soft pink

e.l.f Earth & Ocean Palette

I haven’t purchased anything from e.l.f in the longest time. I happened upon a post of this palette on Instagram and the complimentary comments really peaked my interest in trying it for myself. Palettes I have tried from e.l.f. in the past haven’t been the greatest of quality; I kind of associate the brand as being for children, beginners or natural beauty wearers. I was also interested in the Retro Paradise Palette , but I thought I would get more use out of this one at the moment.   THE PACKAGING The packaging is quite simple with a clear/black outlined plastic rectangular shape. The fronting is transparent so that you can see the eyeshadows from the outside of the palette. It has a clip closing, which you push apart to reveal the inside. The square eyeshadow pans are spread out across a black base and the shade names are printed in grey font under each pan. THE EYESHADOWS & FORMULA You get eighteen 0.94g eyeshadows in Matte (M), Metallic (ME), Glitter (G), Satin (S) and Shimmer
