Jeffree Star Cosmetics: Summer Chrome Collection 2017

I have decided to do a sort of swatch post today, but I have included a little more information than I usually would for a simple swatch post. Jeffree Star Cosmetics recently came out with a new Summer Chrome Collection of products and I decided I wanted to purchase something, but wasn’t quite sure what at first.

The whole collection includes; 8 Velour Liquid Lipsticks, 3 Velour Lip Scrubs, 5 Lip Ammunitions™, 2 Skin Frosts™ and various lip gift sets.

I decided to pick up two items from the collection, both are lip products. I got a Velour Liquid Lipstick in Calabasas, which was £16.00 for 5.4ml. I also got a Lip Ammunition™ in Birthday Suit, which was £16.00 for 3.4g.

I wasn’t too sure if the liquid lipstick would suit me, but it actually looks lovely. I love the colour and it is perfect after one application (the wand tickles my lips a little). It dries down and it is long wearing, but will deteriorate when you eat and drink. I already own a lip ammunition from the regular line, so I familiar with the formula. It is a really nice lipstick and I love the colour. I also love the packaging of both products. I can’t wait for more JSC products to be released. I have heard rumours of a Skin Frost™ Palette and a Mini Velour Liquid Lipstick set!

Escada Collector's Edition Gift Set

I’ve always been interested in trying Escada fragrances, but there are so many to choose from and I didn’t want to risk buying a full size bottle. I came across this little gift set whilst I was shopping online at Boots and clicked buy straight away! All four fragrances are in a tiny, but cute 4ml potion looking bottle. Here are the four scents you get to try:- TURQUOISE SUMMER This bottle is a turquoise/clear theme and contains the notes; pineapple, strawberry, raspberry, blackcurrant, peach, violet, orange blossom, vanilla, sandalwood and musk. It smells really strong of orange blossom and kind of like a car air freshener. It does linger quite a while on the skin, but it is not really a strong scent. Overall I don’t like this scent. It doesn’t really smell of anything to me and what you can smell isn’t what I would call pleasant. I give this perfume 1/5 . Where I've Been Lately

Hello everyone, You may have noticed, but I haven’t posted for a long while. I thought it was time I let you know why. I have managed to consistently post twice a week for over a year now until recently. I had a lot of time on my hands when I was on furlough and then I was made redundant late last year. I had always enjoyed blogging and it kind of filled a sort of lonely hole in my life and it was also a type of therapy for me. My life has dramatically changed since the global pandemic started. I managed to lose quite a bit of weight during the first UK lockdown, but then backtracked a little when I went back to work. Since I was made redundant in November, a lot of things have changed again. I have lost a lot more weight, joined a gym and I am starting a new job soon. I am actually starting to enjoy and live my life, whereas before the pandemic I feel like I was just existing and I was very unhappy in myself and with my life overall.
