Make-Up Declutter 2020

Last month I decided to do another declutter of my cosmetics collection, the last one I did was in 2017. I managed to purge a lot more products, mainly palettes and some of the items kept surviving my previous declutters, but their luck finally ran out this time! Here is what I got rid of this time:-

FACE

LIPS

That is a total of 2 fragrances. The brands of products I got rid of are: - Juicy Couture and KIERIN NYC.

That is a total of 3 nail products. The brands of products I got rid of are: - Nails Inc and Elegant Touch.

Overall, I managed to purge 200 items from my collection! I give away the products to family/friends and sell anything that is new or in good condition. If any items are gifted to me through PR, I would donate to family/friends or a charity that accepts cosmetics. I have previously tried blog sales, but they don’t work in my experience. I have now managed not to subscribe to a subscription box for about a year now, so it is likely to be another couple of years before I do a declutter again!

Perfume Power! - Soap & Glory™ 'Eau De Soap & Glory'

I bought this because I already had the first Soap & Glory perfume and I really loved the Mist You Madly line scent. The bottle is cuboid shaped and made of opaque black glass. It has a regular perfume spritzer and the cap is clear plastic and T shaped with a pink woollen sash wrapped around the base. On the front of the bottle there is a pink foiled sticker with the Soap & Glory logo. The fragrance notes are:- Bergamot, Cassis, Magnolia, Freesia, Vanilla & Musk This perfume is a strong florally and musky scent. It is quite sweet, but not overpowering. The bottle is also a classic design, so you can re-use as decoration if you peel the sticker off the front. It is the Formula 2 scent, which is what some of Soap & Glory products smell like (The Daily Smooth, Clean Girls, Mist You Madly etc.). I can really smell the bergamot, freesia and musk. It has a sort of masculine smell and does last for a while on your skin. It is a must have if you love the Mist...

Perfume Power! - Taylor Swift 'Wonderstruck'

Photo: HerWorldPlus.com I actually received this as a free sample size (1.2ml), but I decided to do a review anyway, because you get enough of the scent to be able to give it a proper review, like you would a bottle size. * Click here to see what the sample looks like * The bottle design looks very pretty and definitely something I would love to have. The charms around the neck also look lovely, but MissBudgetBeauty bought it in 30ml and it didn’t have the charms, so the charms must be exclusive to the bigger sizes, which is a shame seeing as though I tend to buy 30ml, unless I really love the scent. The fragrance notes are:- Top Notes: Freesia, Green Tea, Blackberry, Raspberry & Apple Blossom Middle Notes: Vanilla, Honeysuckle & Hibiscus Base Notes: Musk, Sandalwood, Amber & Peach It does smell really nice and not as young as you would expect, it reminds me of a fruitier Loverdose by Diesel, without the liquorice. Wonderstruck by Taylor Swift

I received this sample in the post yesterday after requesting one online (no longer available). I heard about this perfume earlier in the year from FleurDeForce , after she bought a bottle of it whilst she was in the USA. It has only just been released in the UK, and what appealed to me was the bottle and the fact that I thought it might be a young scent as it’s by Taylor Swift.
