LOOKFANTASTIC Advent Calendar 2020

Tomorrow I start opening my LookFantastic Beauty Advent Calendar for Christmas 2020. I actually pre-ordered this on Saturday 5^th September and received it on Wednesday 21^st October. I have been keeping it in a safe place since then, extremely eager to open it! It was available directly and exclusively from the LookFantastic.com website for £85.00, with it actually being worth over £460.00!!. I purchased it on pre-order and I received a £15.00 discount as I was a Beauty Box Subscriber. It has now SOLD OUT.

It contains twenty-five days worth of products. It has a black and gold theme and each day has it’s own little numbered drawer, which contains the product for that day.

This is my first ever beauty calendar purchase. I don’t usually bother with them because they are so expensive, but this one didn’t seem that expensive and I also got a discount. I thought I would treat myself and try one out for a change.

I am mostly expecting there to be skincare products and probably similar items that I have received in the monthly beauty boxes. I have a feeling there will also be an expensive tub of face cream, maybe the ELEMIS Marine Cream?

BY BEAUTY BAY Fiery 16 Colour Palette

This is the third BY BEAUTY BAY make-up product I’ve tried and I did see it on the website when it first launched, but never picked it up. It was always sold out anyway so I couldn’t get it and the packaging has just been re-vamped for all of their palettes and all of the products were re-stocked. I decided to pick this one up because of the size, it’s not too small and it’s not too big. The nine shade version of this palette is all matte, and I really like shimmers/metallic and the massive forty-two shade version is too big (too many shades and too big to store in my drawers). I thought the sixteen shade palette would be the perfect medium. My palette actually arrived faulty; one of the eyeshadows is missing (Burnt Sienna). Morphe X Jaclyn Hill Volume II Palette

This palette has been out for a while now and I did purchase it a while ago, but I have only just decided to really play with it. Morphe palettes in general put me off because of the size of them, no shade names, boring packaging and too many shades in some palettes. The colour story of this palette in particular is really attractive to me. I didn’t buy Volume I as I didn’t want to jump on the band wagon, the size of the packaging and the colour story is just boring to me. I did pick up the Vault Collection (four palettes) and what a massive disappointment it was too (now decluttered)!! Perfume Power! - Taylor Swift 'Wonderstruck'

The charms around the neck also look lovely, but MissBudgetBeauty bought it in 30ml and it didn’t have the charms, so the charms must be exclusive to the bigger sizes, which is a shame seeing as though I tend to buy 30ml, unless I really love the scent.
