Serial Sampler #31

This is a new perfume release for this year. I came across it by pure chance when I was asked to choose some free samples when I made a FeelUnique.com order. This scent was one of the two I chose to receive.

It is Irresistible by GIVENCHY and it is a 1ml spritzer sample of the eau de parfum.

“Rose effervescent. Luscious rose dancing with radiant blond wood”

It contains a mixture of notes such as; Pear, Ambrette, Rose, Iris, Virginia Cedar and Musk.
When it is first sprayed, it kind of smells like soap. As it starts to dry down, it still smells slightly soapy but the ambrette, rose, iris and musk notes start to peek through. Once it has fully dried down it smells less soapy and more florally. It is definitely a more soft mature scent. It does smell nice, fresh and does remind me of spring. It isn’t a scent I am typically drawn to, so I probably will not buy a bottle of it. I would say the ambrette, rose and musk are the strongest notes.

Oden's Eye Solmåne Eyeshadow Palette

I first heard of this indie brand through watching Angelika Oles’ beauty channel on YouTube. Oden’s Eye is a Swedish indie brand and they make Norse mythology themed products. This is one of two eyeshadow palettes I decided to purchase; I also picked up the two matching highlighter palettes.   THE PACKAGING The packaging is small and rectangular in shape. It is made out of cardboard and it has a sort of textured covering (like on pogs). The design and imagery is so unique to the brand. Solmåne means the sun and moon in Swedish. Sol represents the Sun Goddess and Måne represents the Moon God. Both Gods are represented on the packaging. There is a colour split of warm and cool toned shades (lavender, pink, orange & yellow) along with moon, star and Norse symbols. The wheel around the Gods is metallic gold, so it really reflects the light when you move the palette around. The eyeshadow shade names are printed on the back of the palette. Empties #10 - August & September 2013

I have combined two month’s worth of empties again. At the end of August my box wasn’t that full, so I decided to carry on collecting and hope I use up more stuff. The majority of stuff I used up was necessities as usual, but there are some extra bits too.
