Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Instant Eye Palette

I now have four of these twelve pan palettes by Charlotte Tilbury. There is also another one called the Charlotte Tilbury Instant Eye Palette, which has a neutral smoky glam colour story. I believe it was released as limited edition in 2017. It is no longer available, so I am unable to get it, but I’m not overly interested in that one anyway. It is probably available on Depop somewhere. I am happy with owning just the four and I am eagerly waiting for Charlotte to release another twelve-pan palette, so I can add it to my collection (colour story depending). I did once say I wasn’t going to buy this palette in particular as it is definitely a me colour story, but I already have the shades in other palettes. I obviously relented and I do not regret it one bit! It does kind of give me Urban Decay Naked Cherry Palette vibes, which is a palette I recently decluttered.
THE PACKAGING
The packaging is made of metallic and reflective rose gold plastic and it has a long, thin and rectangular shape. It has a starburst design across the front and a magnetic closing, which you lift up to; reveal the rectangular eyeshadow pans arranged in threes across a mirrored rose gold base. The group names are printed in dark brown font under each group of three. The shades don’t really have names, but there is a plastic insert included which labels the eyeshadows as 1 Prime, 2 Enhance or 3 Smoke. There is also a mirror on the underside of the lid.

MY THOUGHTS
·         Primer/Base - The eyeshadows are pigmented enough without a primer or base, but I would always lay one down. I used Too Faced Shadow Insurance and Too Faced Glitter Glue.
·        Pigmentation - The pigmentation is perfect; the shades are so buttery in texture!
·         Application (wet/dry) - The eyeshadows can be applied wet or dry. I always use mattes dry, unless I am applying them to my lower lash line or using them as eyeliner. I sometimes apply metallics/shimmers wet, but it depends on the formula and whether they contain glitters. Wet application can max up the pigmentation and help prevent fallout.
·         Blending - Like a dream! Extremely easy and seamless.
·         Kick-Back - Obviously, there is always going to be kick-back in your eyeshadow pans as you are disturbing powders. The kick-back was not a concern or issue for me in this particular palette.
·         Fallout - I didn’t notice any fallout, but it could be possible from the metallic shades.

This palette is of course beautiful! Again, I love the compact, slim and shiny packaging. The colour story is very attractive to me and the quality is just incredible. The mattes are so soft and blendable and the metallics are so buttery and molten looking. The shades really catch the light. The metallics can be applied beautifully with a stiff flat synthetic brush or your finger (I prefer finger), the Charlotte Tilbury formula is versatile. I like the ratio of formulas, I would probably have liked one or two more metallic shades, but it works for this palette. I loved every look I created with this palette and I can’t wait to continue playing with it. My favourite shades are; Day - 2 Enhance and Dream - 2 Enhance. The shade Desk - 1 Prime is the lightest matte shade and it just about shows up on my skin tone. Desk - 2 Enhance looked like a matte neutral pink in the pan to me at first, but it is a lovely salmon sort of shade on the eye. The shades Dream - 1 Prime and Dream - 2 Enhance don’t look too different from each other on the eye, so you could maybe do without one of them, but overall all shades work great for me. It is a nice natural/neutral palette with a romantic pop. I 100% recommend this palette. Do I need it? No. Do I regret it? Not a chance!

Boots Fragrance Sampler Gift Set for Her 2015

I decided to treat myself to this little fragrance set. As you know, I am a perfume addict and I’m quite addicted to collecting perfume samples too! It’s this year’s Boots Fragrance Sampler set for Her. I saw last year’s advertised but I always thought it was a little expensive for what you get. The set basically contains eight samples of Boots best-selling female fragrances by other brands. The set comes in a small, thin cardboard box and each sample is set inside a plastic insert. You also get a small fragrance guide and the voucher, which is what you’ll need to get your full size bottle of your favourite sample. The eight samples in this year’s set are:- HUGO BOSS - Boss Ma Vie This is a 2ml sample vile in pipette form and can be exchanged for a 30ml bottle of the eau de parfum. “Inspired by the independent spirit of a woman, exuding a glow of femininity and confidence. Created around the cactus blossom, aiming to reinvent and modernize floral green notes ...

Glossybox #19 - December 2015

I have been really looking forward to this box as I knew it would be rose gold themed. All the products were carefully selected by the Beauty Blogger ReallyRee, for this special looking limited edition Christmas box.  Here is what I received:- être belle Golden Skin Caviar Eye Roll On | 10ml - £30.66 | This product is a bit odd and really doesn’t appeal to me at all! So Susan Statement Skin Highlighter Pencil in Starlight | 1.8g - £15.00 | This is a very strange colour and the cream shape is odd too. I am not interested in this product one bit. I prefer light pink highlighters and this is a yellow gold shade, not flattering at all for my skin tone! COLLECTION Long Lasting Nail Effects in Touch of Glamour (31) | 8ml - £2.99 | This nail polish looks really pretty and it is definitely my kind of shade (rose gold). I am looking forwarded to trying it on my nails. I think it would look beautiful on it’s own. Hylamide Pore Delete | 10ml - £18.00...

Katie Price 'Stunning' Perfume VS JoJo Siwa 'Be You' Perfume - Are they the same?

I was browsing on AllBeauty.com and looking at celebrity fragrances and I saw that one was listed for JoJo Siwa. I had heard of JoJo before, but I don’t really know anything about her. I clicked on it out of interest and when I first saw the image of the perfume, I thought maybe the wrong photograph had been uploaded until I clicked on it and saw the description of the perfume. When I first saw the photograph, before I clicked on it to read the description, I instantly thought, that’s Stunning by Katie Price! I looked into it a bit more and compared it to Stunning. The JoJo Siwa “version” is called Be You. Photo Source: Perfume.com Stunning by Katie Price ·          Released in 2007 (12 years ago). ·          Contains the notes; Mandarin Orange, Jasmine & Patchouli. ·          Classed as a floral scent. ·       ...
