I’ve had these liquid eyeshadows for a while now and I only just really felt like trying them out. I went a bit crazy and purchased nearly the whole shade selection, I am only missing four shades!

ABOUT THE PRODUCT

The packaging is dual ended and is made of plastic. It has a cubed rectangular shape. One side contains the matte eyeshadow which has a paddle sponge applicator and the other side containing the metallic eyeshadow has a slim brush applicator. You just twist each side off to get to the product.

You get 4ml of liquid product overall in Matte (2ml) and Metallic (2ml) finishes.

MY FIRST IMPRESSIONS

I like the sleek packaging and the shade selection is beautiful. The pigmentation and coverage is great, but a couple of the metallic shades don’t really have a base pigment to them, which means they don’t stand out as much. The texture of the matte shades is almost like concealer until they dry down and the metallic shades have the regular liquid eyeshadow texture, just a bit wet. The matte shades dry down smooth, but the metallic shades can look a bit peely and congealed. The mattes blend pretty easy; you can still go back and blend a bit more if you need to even though it may have already dried down. You can blend them with powder eyeshadows, but it can look a bit patchy depending on what shades you are using. I found the neutral shades looked less obvious. You do get a molten metal look with the metallic shades and they do dry quickly. My favourite shades are; French Lace & Diamond Drips, Do Not Disturb, Double Pump Latte and Fro-Yo.

The four shades I am missing are; Cinnamon Toast & Hella Honey, Ca$hmere Robe & Penthouse Suite, Request Line & Slow Jams and V-I-Pink & Million Dollar Deals.

Escada Collector's Edition Gift Set

I’ve always been interested in trying Escada fragrances, but there are so many to choose from and I didn’t want to risk buying a full size bottle. I came across this little gift set whilst I was shopping online at Boots and clicked buy straight away! All four fragrances are in a tiny, but cute 4ml potion looking bottle. Here are the four scents you get to try:- TURQUOISE SUMMER This bottle is a turquoise/clear theme and contains the notes; pineapple, strawberry, raspberry, blackcurrant, peach, violet, orange blossom, vanilla, sandalwood and musk. It smells really strong of orange blossom and kind of like a car air freshener. It does linger quite a while on the skin, but it is not really a strong scent. Overall I don’t like this scent. It doesn’t really smell of anything to me and what you can smell isn’t what I would call pleasant. I give this perfume 1/5 . Perfume Power! - Avril Lavigne 'Black Star'

This is my third bottle of this perfume and in the 30ml too. The bottle is designed as a star, which has a black star shaped studded cap. Around the neck of the bottle is a studded metal choker ring, which is removable and wearable for your finger. The fragrance notes are:- Top Notes: Blackcurrant, Mango, Pear & Black Plum Middle Notes: Jasmine, Lotus & Pink Hibiscus Base Notes: Musk, Sandalwood, Vanilla & Dark Mexican Chocolate To me it smells really light, fruity, floral and incredibly feminine. The floral notes stand out to me the most, as well as the musk. All of the notes complement each other very well and it is one of my all-time favourite perfumes. My only criticism is after a while I cannot smell it on me, but people have said they can still smell it, so it must last longer than your nose leads you to believe! I have used quite a few Glade candles this month, they are my new love! It’s nice to throw away a few things before the New Year and I hope to use a lot more stuff up next year because I hope to re-decorate my room. Here is what I have used and will be disposing of shortly! Carmex Moisturising Lip Balm Tube in Cherry It has taken me the longest time to use up this lip balm, over a year actually! It is a decent product and what sold me was the scent, it smells amazing. It smells so amazing that not long after purchasing I got two more tubes. It really is moisturising but it does take a while to soak in, which is why I only used it at night and I applied extra.
