Blogmas #30 | Empties #12 - December 2013

I have used quite a few Glade candles this month, they are my new love! It’s nice to throw away a few things before the New Year and I hope to use a lot more stuff up next year because I hope to re-decorate my room. Here is what I have used and will be disposing of shortly!

It has taken me the longest time to use up this lip balm, over a year actually! It is a decent product and what sold me was the scent, it smells amazing. It smells so amazing that not long after purchasing I got two more tubes. It really is moisturising but it does take a while to soak in, which is why I only used it at night and I applied extra. After I’ve used up my other two tubes, I will not be re-purchasing because I actually prefer solid lip balms in stick form because it is not as messy and it tends to soak in a lot quicker.

Glade Candle in Brazilian Mango Flower
I’ve used up another Glade candle. This one had a really soft scent and I really liked burning it.
120g | £5

Glade Candle in Sparkling Spruce (LE)
I regretted buying this one a bit. When I smelt it in store I didn’t like it, but because it was on offer and I didn’t have that one, I bought it anyway. Luckily, you can’t really smell it when it is burning. It just smells really warm and woody and it did grow on me a little, but I wouldn’t buy it again!

It has taken me a long time to use this perfume up. It has the Mist You Madly scent and I do quite like it, but it has a slight manly scent to it. It is also very strong and lasts quite a long time when sprayed, considering it is an eau de toilette. It has notes of bergamot, cassis, magnolia, freesia, vanilla and musk. I have reviewed it here. It was nice, but I probably wouldn’t re-purchase it. It has also gone up in price quite a bit; it was £15 when it was first released!
50ml | £22.99

This was my first bottle of this spray and I love it! Unlike most of the other heat protectants I have tried; this doesn’t make my hair appear greasy. Since using it I have also noticed my hair is in a lot better condition than it was because I straighten my hair near enough every day. My hair also feels very smooth and looks sleek after use. I have already re-purchased this.
300ml | £4.79

I have been using this new deodorant lately and I quite like it, as you can see from my many used cans! It is basically the same as the last one I was using, but is mean’t to be a more ‘Xtreme’ version. It does work, but I can’t say much about the stain prevention because it depends on what you wear. The thing I find annoying about it is that, not every shop sells it and the shops that do sell it, only have it in the roll on cream version or the small version I have! I would continue to re-purchase though.
150ml | £1

Glade Candle in Garden Sunshine (LE)
This one smells exactly like the spray. It smells divine! The only problem I had was that you couldn’t really smell it when it was burning. I would probably still buy it again because I love the spray version so much!
120g | £5

This mascara is brilliant! It volumises, defines and separates, as well as being smudge-proof and clump free. You can’t even feel it on your lashes, because the formula is so light and soft because it is a gel mousse. I would definitely re-purchase and I 100% recommend it.
9.6ml | £7.99

Glade Candle in Spiced Pomegranate (LE)
This is a limited edition scent for Winter 2013 and it smells gorgeous.
120g | £5

Cussons Pure Shower Gel in Zesty Lemon Burst
I bought this because I fancied a lemon scented shower gel for a change from Soap & Glory. This one was inexpensive and it smelled gorgeous. It wasn’t a bad shower gel, but it didn’t foam up as well as others I have tried. I will not be re-purchasing it.
500ml | 59p

Glade Candle in With Love
This is one of my favourites. It smells quite florally and it is a very nice and delicate scent. I would re-purchase it and I hope I can find the room spray somewhere, if Glade does one.
120g | £5

I’ve finished another packet of these and I bought the six pack again.
64 Wipes | 87p

I have used another one of these and I still love it! PLEASE Soap & Glory bring out a bigger desk size to fit in the metal cradle you once sold.
50ml | £2.50

Glade Candle in Blackberry Frost (LE)
This too is a limited edition scent for Winter 2013 and it smells gorgeous and the colour of these look amazing! I also purchased the room spray in this scent. I can’t decide whether I like this one or the spiced pomegranate the best.
120g | £5

I saw this was quite inexpensive for an Oral B mouthwash and decided to get two bottles, thinking I would try something new and thinking it would be good because it is made by Oral B. It is not a bad mouthwash; it is just not special like I wanted it to be! Once the second bottle has gone, I will go back to my beloved Listerine!
500ml | £2.99

Glade Candle in Honey & Chocolate
This is the most recent one I have finished burning. It is definitely a favourite of mine and it is the first one in this scent I have had. It smells amazing and kind of reminds me of sandalwood and the Hilary Duff With Love perfume.
120g | £5

I have been using this shampoo for a while now and it is ok and I am continuing using it.
450ml | £4.99

Morrisons Total Care Breath Freshening Spray
I am still using this product.
12.5ml | £2.50

I thought I would finally throw this away, even though it is not quite empty. I am just not keen on the texture.
20g | £1.99

This is a brilliant mascara and gives your lashes length and mega volume. I would consider re-purchasing this. A review will be coming soon!
11ml | £6.99

Do you have any recommendations for things for me to try? You will probably see a lot more Glade candles in my empties posts. I am ADDICTED!

What products have you used up lately?

Katie Price 'Stunning' Perfume VS JoJo Siwa 'Be You' Perfume - Are they the same?

I was browsing on AllBeauty.com and looking at celebrity fragrances and I saw that one was listed for JoJo Siwa. I had heard of JoJo before, but I don’t really know anything about her. I clicked on it out of interest and when I first saw the image of the perfume, I thought maybe the wrong photograph had been uploaded until I clicked on it and saw the description of the perfume. When I first saw the photograph, before I clicked on it to read the description, I instantly thought, that’s Stunning by Katie Price! I looked into it a bit more and compared it to Stunning. The JoJo Siwa “version” is called Be You. Photo Source: Perfume.com Stunning by Katie Price ·          Released in 2007 (12 years ago). ·          Contains the notes; Mandarin Orange, Jasmine & Patchouli. ·          Classed as a floral scent. ·          Marketed as an adult’s fragrance. ·          Diamonds by Next is a confirmed dupe of this perfume, but the bottle is completely different. Glossybox #25 - February 2019

This is my third Glossybox since I re-subscribed last year. It is also the Valentine’s Day themed box. I would say that so far, this box seems to be the one most tailored to my usual interests. I received seven products in this box, technically six because two go hand in hand. HUDA BEAUTY Lip Contour in Venus This lip pencil formula is supposed to be waterproof and transfer-free. It should glide on effortlessly and give your lips an intense shot of colour. You can use it to contour or colour your lips or pair it with a lipstick. Venus is a warm beige nude shade. It glides onto your lips very easy, but it feels a little tacky when you fill your whole lips in with it. I’m not sure how often I would use this seeing as though I have never used lip liner. I prefer liquid lipsticks and I don’t feel the need to line my lips before applying it. | 1.20g - £16.00 | NAILS INC Nail Varnish in Status Ready This nail polish should be long lasting and super glossy. Jeffree Star Cosmetics Jawbreaker Palette

I bought this palette back when it first launched (summer 2019) and I was interested in it so I could experiment more with bright colours. The colour selection definitely doesn’t disappoint and I was expecting it to be the same quality as the Blood Sugar Palette, if not slightly better! The packaging is quite a large rectangular shape and made out of metallic pink cardboard with colourful dots/dashes all over representing a jawbreaker pattern. The name of the palette is in a slightly raised font. It has a magnetic closing which you lift to reveal the twenty-four eyeshadow pans arranged on a white background. The other side is the same pattern as the front cover with a mirror. You can purchase it for £54.00 ($58.00) from JeffreeStarCosmetics.com and BeautyBay.com. You get twenty-four 1.50g eyeshadows in Matte (M), Shimmer (S) and Metallic (ME) finishes. Swatch Stencil: Stripes Double 14 Pan by SwatchPerfect.co.uk Virgin - bone white (M) Good Morning - soft pink
