Boots & Superdrug Haul

I went to Boots and Superdrug today to pick up a few beauty related items. I did not get everything I intended to buy as they were not in stock.

I went back to Superdrug to get the NYC Lincoln Square Lavender, but it was still not in stock, by the look of it Superdrug haven’t re-stocked for weeks, grrrrr. I also went to find the new Barry M Nail Effects Crackle in Purple Rain but my Boots haven’t stocked it yet and my Superdrug was completely sold out!!!! So I was not very happy! But I still purchased some items, especially the powder I was after.

From Boots I bought the Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in 001 Transparent for £3.99 and I received 12 Boot’s Advantage Card points.
And from Superdrug I bought the Barry M Nail Paint in 301 Block Orange, which I a really bright orange colour. I had I list of colours I wanted, but this was the only one Superdrug has stocked! The nail paint was £2.99. I also heard that the Carmex lip balms were half price, so I purchased two Moisturising Lip Balms in Cherry for £1.27 each, which is two lip balms for the price one usually costs, so a great deal and I ABSOLUTELY love the cherry scent. I earned 5 Superdrug Beauty Card points from my three items.
I also went to Home Bargains and bought another bottle of my shampoo, Schwarzkopf Supersoft Yoghurt & Red Berries Smoothie Shampoo for coloured hair for £1.00.

I also intend on going back to Superdrug on Thursday after work to see if they have re-stocked the Purple Rain and Lincoln Square Lavender nail polishes.

Glossybox #25 - February 2019

This is my third Glossybox since I re-subscribed last year. It is also the Valentine’s Day themed box. I would say that so far, this box seems to be the one most tailored to my usual interests. I received seven products in this box, technically six because two go hand in hand. HUDA BEAUTY Lip Contour in Venus This lip pencil formula is supposed to be waterproof and transfer-free. It should glide on effortlessly and give your lips an intense shot of colour. You can use it to contour or colour your lips or pair it with a lipstick. Venus is a warm beige nude shade. It glides onto your lips very easy, but it feels a little tacky when you fill your whole lips in with it. I’m not sure how often I would use this seeing as though I have never used lip liner. I prefer liquid lipsticks and I don’t feel the need to line my lips before applying it. | 1.20g - £16.00 | NAILS INC Nail Varnish in Status Ready This nail polish should be long lasting and super glossy. It is a deep che

Jeffree Star Cosmetics Jawbreaker Palette

I bought this palette back when it first launched (summer 2019) and I was interested in it so I could experiment more with bright colours. The colour selection definitely doesn’t disappoint and I was expecting it to be the same quality as the Blood Sugar Palette, if not slightly better! The packaging is quite a large rectangular shape and made out of metallic pink cardboard with colourful dots/dashes all over representing a jawbreaker pattern. The name of the palette is in a slightly raised font. It has a magnetic closing which you lift to reveal the twenty-four eyeshadow pans arranged on a white background. The other side is the same pattern as the front cover with a mirror. You can purchase it for £54.00 ($58.00) from JeffreeStarCosmetics.com and BeautyBay.com. You get twenty-four 1.50g eyeshadows in Matte (M), Shimmer (S) and Metallic (ME) finishes. e.l.f Earth & Ocean Palette

I haven’t purchased anything from e.l.f in the longest time. I happened upon a post of this palette on Instagram and the complimentary comments really peaked my interest in trying it for myself. Palettes I have tried from e.l.f. in the past haven’t been the greatest of quality; I kind of associate the brand as being for children, beginners or natural beauty wearers. I was also interested in the Retro Paradise Palette , but I thought I would get more use out of this one at the moment.   THE PACKAGING The packaging is quite simple with a clear/black outlined plastic rectangular shape. The fronting is transparent so that you can see the eyeshadows from the outside of the palette. It has a clip closing, which you push apart to reveal the inside. The square eyeshadow pans are spread out across a black base and the shade names are printed in grey font under each pan. THE EYESHADOWS & FORMULA You get eighteen 0.94g eyeshadows in Matte (M), Metallic (ME), Glitter (G), Satin (S) and Shimmer
