Saturday Shopping Spree

I obviously went out shopping again today. I wanted to buy a few items anyway, such as, a face primer, concealer, eyeliner and the Barry M Nail Paint I have been obsessing about for weeks.

From Superdrug I bought the Rimmel Fix & Perfect PRO Primer in 002, which is a white cream but there is no actual colour when on the skin. I had seen a video that recommended this primer so I had to go and check it out. It was a bit pricy for what it is, but I suppose it’s cheaper than most and is probably worth the money in the end. It was £6.99. I also picked up a Rimmel Match Perfection Skin Tone Adapting Concealer in 010 Ivory for £5.99. I also saw this in a video, so I’m hoping it lives up to expectations. I also wanted to get another Rimmel Special Eyes Precision Eyeliner Pencil in 161 Black Magic, as I love my brown one and I always meant to buy the black one. I got this eyeliner for FREE because there was a 3 for 2 offer which meant I paid for the primer and concealer and got the cheaper item for FREE, otherwise the eyeliner costs £2.99. The last item I bought from Superdrug was a Barry M Nail Paint in 302 Fuchsia, after weeks of wanting it, so finally I have it! I received 115 Superdrug Beautycard Points for the items I bought.
I always have a look in Boots if I go past so I looked at the Christmas gift sets and came across some new stocked Soap & Glory products, I never noticed that they sold this item before so I tested it and liked and purchased it. It was the Soap & Glory Mist You Madly Body Spray in 100ml for £3.11. There was a bigger size too that came in a box packaging for £6. something, but I wanted the smaller bottle just in case I bore of the scent. I earned 12 Boots Advantage Card Points for my purchase.

Glossybox #25 - February 2019

This is my third Glossybox since I re-subscribed last year. It is also the Valentine’s Day themed box. I would say that so far, this box seems to be the one most tailored to my usual interests. I received seven products in this box, technically six because two go hand in hand. HUDA BEAUTY Lip Contour in Venus This lip pencil formula is supposed to be waterproof and transfer-free. It should glide on effortlessly and give your lips an intense shot of colour. You can use it to contour or colour your lips or pair it with a lipstick. Venus is a warm beige nude shade. It glides onto your lips very easy, but it feels a little tacky when you fill your whole lips in with it. I’m not sure how often I would use this seeing as though I have never used lip liner. I prefer liquid lipsticks and I don’t feel the need to line my lips before applying it. | 1.20g - £16.00 | NAILS INC Nail Varnish in Status Ready This nail polish should be long lasting and super glossy. It is a deep che

Jeffree Star Cosmetics Jawbreaker Palette

I bought this palette back when it first launched (summer 2019) and I was interested in it so I could experiment more with bright colours. The colour selection definitely doesn’t disappoint and I was expecting it to be the same quality as the Blood Sugar Palette, if not slightly better! The packaging is quite a large rectangular shape and made out of metallic pink cardboard with colourful dots/dashes all over representing a jawbreaker pattern. The name of the palette is in a slightly raised font. It has a magnetic closing which you lift to reveal the twenty-four eyeshadow pans arranged on a white background. The other side is the same pattern as the front cover with a mirror. You can purchase it for £54.00 ($58.00) from JeffreeStarCosmetics.com and BeautyBay.com. You get twenty-four 1.50g eyeshadows in Matte (M), Shimmer (S) and Metallic (ME) finishes. e.l.f Earth & Ocean Palette

I haven’t purchased anything from e.l.f in the longest time. I happened upon a post of this palette on Instagram and the complimentary comments really peaked my interest in trying it for myself. Palettes I have tried from e.l.f. in the past haven’t been the greatest of quality; I kind of associate the brand as being for children, beginners or natural beauty wearers. I was also interested in the Retro Paradise Palette , but I thought I would get more use out of this one at the moment.   THE PACKAGING The packaging is quite simple with a clear/black outlined plastic rectangular shape. The fronting is transparent so that you can see the eyeshadows from the outside of the palette. It has a clip closing, which you push apart to reveal the inside. The square eyeshadow pans are spread out across a black base and the shade names are printed in grey font under each pan. THE EYESHADOWS & FORMULA You get eighteen 0.94g eyeshadows in Matte (M), Metallic (ME), Glitter (G), Satin (S) and Shimmer
