KALEIDOS Charisma Contour Palette in Cool & Light

I already love the KALEIDOS Space Age Highlighters and I have also really been enjoying the Futurism Eyeshadow Palettes, so naturally I also wanted to try their contour palette when it was released. I bought this product after my first direct KALEIDOS order, but before my second order which is why I purchased it on Depop instead, I didn’t just want to buy one product and have to wait ages for it to arrive.

MY FIRST IMPRESSIONS
I like the packaging and the compact does have a little weight to it. I do also like that there is a little mirror, even though I personally wouldn’t use it. I don’t like that the shades are different sizes, it is a little awkward to get your brush into the Fill and Shade pans to pick-up product. The Fill shade is ok, but I wouldn’t use it what it is actually for, I would just use it as an actual powder. It isn’t my preference of shade for a powder, I prefer transparent pressed powders. I love how smooth Shade and Chisel look once blended out and they do blend out effortlessly. It took some building up as I think I chose the wrong shade, I probably needed the next shade up (Warm and Medium). Shade and Chisel do look almost identical, so it is kind of pointless having the two included. I probably would have just put the Fill and Chisel shades into the compact and the Fill shade would be the same size pan as Chisel. I will continue playing with it, but I probably wouldn’t re-purchase it as I don’t need all three shades. I would consider purchasing the Chisel shade if it was available as a single.

You can purchase the KALEIDOS Charisma Contour Palette in Cool and Light for $18.00 exclusively from KaleidosMakeUp.com.

Glossybox #25 - February 2019

This is my third Glossybox since I re-subscribed last year. It is also the Valentine’s Day themed box. I would say that so far, this box seems to be the one most tailored to my usual interests. I received seven products in this box, technically six because two go hand in hand. HUDA BEAUTY Lip Contour in Venus This lip pencil formula is supposed to be waterproof and transfer-free. It should glide on effortlessly and give your lips an intense shot of colour. You can use it to contour or colour your lips or pair it with a lipstick. Venus is a warm beige nude shade. It glides onto your lips very easy, but it feels a little tacky when you fill your whole lips in with it. I’m not sure how often I would use this seeing as though I have never used lip liner. I prefer liquid lipsticks and I don’t feel the need to line my lips before applying it. | 1.20g - £16.00 | NAILS INC Nail Varnish in Status Ready This nail polish should be long lasting and super glossy. Jeffree Star Cosmetics Jawbreaker Palette

I bought this palette back when it first launched (summer 2019) and I was interested in it so I could experiment more with bright colours. The colour selection definitely doesn’t disappoint and I was expecting it to be the same quality as the Blood Sugar Palette, if not slightly better! The packaging is quite a large rectangular shape and made out of metallic pink cardboard with colourful dots/dashes all over representing a jawbreaker pattern. The name of the palette is in a slightly raised font. It has a magnetic closing which you lift to reveal the twenty-four eyeshadow pans arranged on a white background. The other side is the same pattern as the front cover with a mirror. You can purchase it for £54.00 ($58.00) from JeffreeStarCosmetics.com and BeautyBay.com. You get twenty-four 1.50g eyeshadows in Matte (M), Shimmer (S) and Metallic (ME) finishes. e.l.f Earth & Ocean Palette

I haven’t purchased anything from e.l.f in the longest time. I happened upon a post of this palette on Instagram and the complimentary comments really peaked my interest in trying it for myself. Palettes I have tried from e.l.f. in the past haven’t been the greatest of quality; I kind of associate the brand as being for children, beginners or natural beauty wearers. I was also interested in the Retro Paradise Palette , but I thought I would get more use out of this one at the moment.   THE PACKAGING The packaging is quite simple with a clear/black outlined plastic rectangular shape. The fronting is transparent so that you can see the eyeshadows from the outside of the palette. It has a clip closing, which you push apart to reveal the inside. The square eyeshadow pans are spread out across a black base and the shade names are printed in grey font under each pan. THE EYESHADOWS & FORMULA You get eighteen 0.94g eyeshadows in Matte (M), Metallic (ME), Glitter (G), Satin (S) and Shimmer
