Empties #10 - August & September 2013

I have combined two month’s worth of empties again. At the end of August my box wasn’t that full, so I decided to carry on collecting and hope I use up more stuff. The majority of stuff I used up was necessities as usual, but there are some extra bits too. Here is what I managed to use up within two months:-

Morrisons So Clear Dual Action Moisturiser | 100ml
I have used another tube of this and have already re-purchased it. It works really well and doubles as a hand cream and most importantly, it is very inexpensive.
Price - £1.49

Listerine Total Care Mouthwash in Clean Mint (Purple) | 500ml
This is my favourite mouthwash and I have already re-purchased it. Although I get it for around £2.99, I still wish it was cheaper.
Price - £4.60

Right Guard Women Total Defence 5 48H Invisible Power Anti-Perspirant Deodorant | 150ml + 250ml
I have used more of these as usual and I still haven’t found anything that is better. I have however found a cheaper place to buy it for just over £1.
Price - £2+

Schwarzkopf Palette Intensive Cream Colour | 678 Ruby Red
I died my hair with this again because my dark brown roots were beginning to show. My hair didn’t stay as red this time, but my hair still looks like my regular red toned mahogany brown shade after I have washed my hair a few times.
Price - £3.98

Head & Shoulders 2-in-1 Anti-Dandruff Shampoo + Conditioner in Citrus Fresh | 450ml
This was my first bottle of the 2-in-1 kind and I love it. It makes my hair feel really soft and I have found it makes a huge difference to dandruff, whereas the regular citrus did nothing for me. It is also great for people who can’t be bothered with using a separate conditioner. It is healthier for my hair because I have to wash it every day and before I NEVER used conditioner because I couldn’t be bothered and now the 2-in-1 means I still don’t have to bother, but this time I am gaining something. I have already re-purchased it and will continue to do so!
Price - £4.99

Soap & Glory The Greatest Scrub of All™ | 125ml
This was my first tube of this facial exfoliator and it didn’t do much for my skin. It cleared dead skin and cleaned my face, but it didn’t do anything for my pores. I just don’t think it was abrasive enough. It smelled nice, but I will not be re-purchasing it!
Price - £9

Maybelline Volum’ Express The Rocket Mascara | 9.6ml
This was my first tube of this mascara and I really like it. It gives yours lashes volume, separation, definition and it is clump free. It does sometimes transfer a little, but it is a great mascara overall and the brush and overall formula is similar to my beloved Maybelline One by One, which is still one of my favourites. I probably won’t re-purchase this one for a while because I have quite a few on my list to try out before I make a re-purchase!
Price - £7.99

Morrisons Total Care Breath Freshening Spray | 12.5ml
I am still using this kind and have already re-purchased.
Price - £2.50

Soap & Glory Hand Maid Hand Cleansing Gel | 50ml
This is my third bottle and I still love it. I have already re-purchased it. I still wish they did a large pump size to match the hand cream.
Price - £2.50

ASDA Little Angels Baby Wipes (fragrance free) | 64 wipes
I have used another packet of these and they are just basic wipes that I used to take my make-up off with at night. They also come in a big box of six for £4.50.
Price - 78p

Impulse Body Spray in Love Puzzle (LE) | 75ml
This was my first can of this scent and I love it. Unfortunately it is limited edition, but I have still seen it in local discount stores. It is a soft fruity scent with notes, such as, plum, apricot, mango, peony and sandalwood. It does last a while on the skin and it is a great scent for summer. I have already reviewed it here.
Price - £1.99

Morrisons Savers Shaving Foam | 250ml
I’ve used up another can of this. It works and is very inexpensive.
Price - 49p

febreze Mist & Refresh in Cotton Fresh | 300ml
I’ve had several cans of this room/linen spray before and I love it. It smells really clean, fresh and homely. From my experience you can’t go wrong with the febreze sprays.
Price - £3

Soap & Glory The Fab Pore™ 2-in-1 Facial Mask & Peel | 50g
This was my first tub of this mask and I was excited to try it. It is supposed to unclog and shrink pores, as well as preventing spots. After using it, I haven’t noticed changes to my skin at all, apart from my face felt smoother and looked brighter after using it. My pores are still clogged and I still got spots. Also in it’s title it says it is a peel, but you actually have to wipe it off with a flannel. I probably won’t buy it again and I think the actual problem is my face. I have tried countless products, mostly Soap & Glory and they don’t seem to want to fight my pores!
Price - £10

Glade Room Spray in Garden Sunshine (LE) | 275ml
This was my first can of this scent and it is my favourite. It smells gorgeous and my Sister now loves it too. It’s so fresh, clean and sweet floral smelling. It is definitely a great summer room/linen spray, but I would use it all year round! Sadly, this was limited edition, but luckily for me I bought two back-ups. When I have finished the other two, I would definitely go and try other scents from Glade, but not the aerosol kind because from past experience they are rubbish!
Price - £3

Impulse Body Spray in Loving Words | 75ml
At first I wasn’t overly keen on this scent because of the raspberry, but since I started using it to use it up; it has really grown on me. It is strong smelling and really fruity and it will last a while on your body. Since I got my can, which was my first, the packaging has been re-designed and now looks very plain in comparison.
Price - £1.99

I hope you enjoyed this post and I hope to have a lot more reviews posted soon!

Thank You & Bye ♥

Glossybox #25 - February 2019

This is my third Glossybox since I re-subscribed last year. It is also the Valentine’s Day themed box. I would say that so far, this box seems to be the one most tailored to my usual interests. I received seven products in this box, technically six because two go hand in hand. HUDA BEAUTY Lip Contour in Venus This lip pencil formula is supposed to be waterproof and transfer-free. It should glide on effortlessly and give your lips an intense shot of colour. You can use it to contour or colour your lips or pair it with a lipstick. Venus is a warm beige nude shade. It glides onto your lips very easy, but it feels a little tacky when you fill your whole lips in with it. I’m not sure how often I would use this seeing as though I have never used lip liner. I prefer liquid lipsticks and I don’t feel the need to line my lips before applying it. | 1.20g - £16.00 | NAILS INC Nail Varnish in Status Ready This nail polish should be long lasting and super glossy. It is a deep che

Jeffree Star Cosmetics Jawbreaker Palette

I bought this palette back when it first launched (summer 2019) and I was interested in it so I could experiment more with bright colours. The colour selection definitely doesn’t disappoint and I was expecting it to be the same quality as the Blood Sugar Palette, if not slightly better! The packaging is quite a large rectangular shape and made out of metallic pink cardboard with colourful dots/dashes all over representing a jawbreaker pattern. The name of the palette is in a slightly raised font. It has a magnetic closing which you lift to reveal the twenty-four eyeshadow pans arranged on a white background. The other side is the same pattern as the front cover with a mirror. You can purchase it for £54.00 ($58.00) from JeffreeStarCosmetics.com and BeautyBay.com. You get twenty-four 1.50g eyeshadows in Matte (M), Shimmer (S) and Metallic (ME) finishes. Swatch Stencil: Stripes Double 14 Pan by SwatchPerfect.co.uk Virgin - bone white (M) Good Morning - soft pink

e.l.f Earth & Ocean Palette

I haven’t purchased anything from e.l.f in the longest time. I happened upon a post of this palette on Instagram and the complimentary comments really peaked my interest in trying it for myself. Palettes I have tried from e.l.f. in the past haven’t been the greatest of quality; I kind of associate the brand as being for children, beginners or natural beauty wearers. I was also interested in the Retro Paradise Palette , but I thought I would get more use out of this one at the moment.   THE PACKAGING The packaging is quite simple with a clear/black outlined plastic rectangular shape. The fronting is transparent so that you can see the eyeshadows from the outside of the palette. It has a clip closing, which you push apart to reveal the inside. The square eyeshadow pans are spread out across a black base and the shade names are printed in grey font under each pan. THE EYESHADOWS & FORMULA You get eighteen 0.94g eyeshadows in Matte (M), Metallic (ME), Glitter (G), Satin (S) and Shimmer
