LOOKFANTASTIC BEAUTY BOX #6 - October 2020

I was hoping to have posted about this last Thursday, but it took a while for my box to arrive. There was an issue with some people’s subscriptions and it mean’t some orders were not generated for existing subscribers. The issue was corrected and I have now received my box. Last month’s box was the Birthday Edition and this month we have the Retreat Edition with an indigo themed box. The six items inside the box should be worth over £58.00 altogether!

Here is what I received this month:-

GLOV Hair Wrap

£14.99

This hair towel is made of from microfibres, which means it is gentler for your hair. I use a hair wrap towel every time I wash my hair, so this will come in very handy. I usually prefer darker colour towels as white ones look grubby after a while.

Full Size - £14.99

ECOOKING Overnight Foot Cream

30ml - £8.10

This foot cream is supposed to remove dead skin as well as moisturise. It works best overnight and it is recommend that you wear socks over the cream. It contains Eucalyptus and Menthol to soothe and cool the skin. I received two little 15ml jars of the cream. The scent reminds me a lot of Vicks VapoRub. I’m not really into foot creams or body creams in general, although I do use hand cream, but I will give it ago. Luckily the 30ml amount came in two separate jars, so I can always give one away.

Full Size: 100ml - £26.00

BY TERRY Baume De Rose Flaconnette

2.3g - £14.00

This lip balm is infused with shea butter, rose flower wax and Vitamin E. It should glide onto your lips and provide nourishment with a subtle shine. This was the September Sneak Peak item. I am into using a heavier lip product at night before bed. I use a light solid wax SPF lip balm during the day and then a thicker oil/cream based lip balm in the evening. I am excited to give this a go once I have finished up my Charlotte Tilbury Charlotte’s Magic Lip Oil Crystal Elixir.

Full Size: 7ml - £32.50

BEAUTY PRO Eye Therapy Under Eye Mask

1 pair - £4.25

This eye mask is a soothing and cooling treatment to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and reduce dark circles and puffiness. I quite like eye masks and I can’t wait to give this one a go. Some BB subscribers may have received the STARSKIN Smoothing Bio-Cellulose Second Skin Eye Catcher Mask instead of this one.

Full Size: 3 pairs - £4.95

Bubble T Earl Grey Bath Tea

100g - £5.99

These bath salts are supposed to relieve aches and pains whilst leaving you feeling relaxed. This is a limited edition blend in partnership with LookFantastic. I prefer showers to baths and I can’t actually remember the last time I had a bath! I will probably not use these salts, but I have heard very good things about bath salts in general.

Full Size: 100g - £5.99

Balance Me Bakuchiol Serum

7ml - £11.00

This facial serum should provide anti-ageing benefits without sensitivity and irritation. It should also give you a smoother texture, enhanced collagen production and reduce fine lines and wrinkles. The main ingredient, Bakuchiol is 100% plant based and is an alternative to retinol. I have tried a few different serums this year and I now have another one to test. I actually quite like testing them, but I haven’t re-purchased one I have tried yet though because there are so many interesting ones available, some are also highly expensive!

Full Size: 30ml - £32.00

This was kind of a boring box for me, not really worth the extra wait for it. I am excited to try out a couple of the products, but I am just underwhelmed a little. I hope next month’s box is more exciting and I can’t wait to receive my Advent Calendar this month. My box this month was worth £58.33.

The Sneak Peak for November’s Box is that you should receive an 8ml tube of the NAOBAY Detox Oxygen Light Cream (worth £16.00).

Glossybox #25 - February 2019

This is my third Glossybox since I re-subscribed last year. It is also the Valentine’s Day themed box. I would say that so far, this box seems to be the one most tailored to my usual interests. I received seven products in this box, technically six because two go hand in hand. HUDA BEAUTY Lip Contour in Venus This lip pencil formula is supposed to be waterproof and transfer-free. It should glide on effortlessly and give your lips an intense shot of colour. You can use it to contour or colour your lips or pair it with a lipstick. Venus is a warm beige nude shade. It glides onto your lips very easy, but it feels a little tacky when you fill your whole lips in with it. I’m not sure how often I would use this seeing as though I have never used lip liner. I prefer liquid lipsticks and I don’t feel the need to line my lips before applying it. | 1.20g - £16.00 | NAILS INC Nail Varnish in Status Ready This nail polish should be long lasting and super glossy. It is a deep che

Jeffree Star Cosmetics Jawbreaker Palette

I bought this palette back when it first launched (summer 2019) and I was interested in it so I could experiment more with bright colours. The colour selection definitely doesn’t disappoint and I was expecting it to be the same quality as the Blood Sugar Palette, if not slightly better! The packaging is quite a large rectangular shape and made out of metallic pink cardboard with colourful dots/dashes all over representing a jawbreaker pattern. The name of the palette is in a slightly raised font. It has a magnetic closing which you lift to reveal the twenty-four eyeshadow pans arranged on a white background. The other side is the same pattern as the front cover with a mirror. You can purchase it for £54.00 ($58.00) from JeffreeStarCosmetics.com and BeautyBay.com. You get twenty-four 1.50g eyeshadows in Matte (M), Shimmer (S) and Metallic (ME) finishes. Swatch Stencil: Stripes Double 14 Pan by SwatchPerfect.co.uk Virgin - bone white (M) Good Morning - soft pink

e.l.f Earth & Ocean Palette

I haven’t purchased anything from e.l.f in the longest time. I happened upon a post of this palette on Instagram and the complimentary comments really peaked my interest in trying it for myself. Palettes I have tried from e.l.f. in the past haven’t been the greatest of quality; I kind of associate the brand as being for children, beginners or natural beauty wearers. I was also interested in the Retro Paradise Palette , but I thought I would get more use out of this one at the moment.   THE PACKAGING The packaging is quite simple with a clear/black outlined plastic rectangular shape. The fronting is transparent so that you can see the eyeshadows from the outside of the palette. It has a clip closing, which you push apart to reveal the inside. The square eyeshadow pans are spread out across a black base and the shade names are printed in grey font under each pan. THE EYESHADOWS & FORMULA You get eighteen 0.94g eyeshadows in Matte (M), Metallic (ME), Glitter (G), Satin (S) and Shimmer
