Serial Sampler #40

I have smelled this particular fragrance before. I remember at one point walking down the street and every other woman that passed me, smelled of this fragrance. This was a few years ago now, but it is still an incredibly popular scent. I never really got the hype around it, but I had a sample of it and I thought I would give it a second chance, as it has been over a year since I last remember smelling it on someone in passing.

It is Flowerbomb by Viktor & Rolf and it is a 1.5ml spritzer sample of the eau de parfum.

The first ever perfume by Viktor & Rolf

Launched: 2005

Type: Oriental Floral / Feminine

Notes
Top: Tea, Bergamot and Osmanthus.
Middle: Orchid, Jasmine, Rose, Freesia and African Orange Flower.
Base: Patchouli and Musk.
It does smell exactly how I remember, it is nice but I still don’t get the obsession over it! It smells like a mature powder floral to me, which isn’t really my vibe. I can really smell the Bergamot, Orchid, Jasmine, Rose, Patchouli and Musk notes. It is quite strong, but it isn’t overpowering at all. I just don’t think the fragrance is that special, but it is nice and inoffensive. I would wear it to use up the sample, but I probably wouldn’t buy a bottle (even though the bottle design is gorgeous).

You can purchase the Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Eau De Parfum in 30ml (£56.00), 50ml (£78.00) and 100ml (£110.00) from Boots.com.

Perfume Power! - Next 'Paradise'

I first smelt this perfume after receiving it in a mini gift set about ten years ago and I have loved it ever since. This 100ml size is my first bottle of it though, other than the tester/sample size. The bottle is quite tall and it is a sort of clutch bag shape if you turn it on its side. The bottle is a simple design and you can easily see how much perfume you have. On mine the spray pump sometimes gets stuck in the band around the neck of the bottle, but the problem is easily solved. I can’t find a specific note list anywhere for this perfume, but on Next’s site it is described as, "a light fruity fragrance with white florals and green notes". To me it smells really fruity and fresh. It is also multifunctional because it is quite strong and sexy, so perfect for a night out, but it is also not too overpowering and smells fresh and fruity enough for day time wear. It is actually an eau de toilette, which means that it is less concentrated, but I find that it is st...

TAG - The Good, The Bad, The British

Photo: EnchantedIvyGifts.co.uk I was browsing my subscription videos on YouTube and I saw that EssieButton uploaded a new TAG video called The British Tag, and after watching it I decided I wanted to do the TAG too. I believe this TAG was created by BeautyCrush , so all credit is awarded to her. 1. How many cups of tea do you have a day & how do you take it? I drink around three cups of tea a day and I take mine with one small sugar and a bit of semi-skimmed milk. Tea is also the only hot drink I like. 2. What is your favourite part of a Sunday roast? My favourite part of a roast is the vegetables. I love kale & leak and broccoli! My Mum’s gravy is also to die for. 3. What is your favourite dunking biscuit? I don’t dunk biscuits anymore, but when I was younger I loved dunking Bourbons. If I was to dunk a biscuit now, I would probably choose either a Rich Tea or plain Digestive. 4. What is your quintessential British pastime? I love visiting ruins/m...
