I was in Boots the other day and I saw
this gift set and I knew I had to have it. I have wanted to try these Sexy Mother Pucker™ Gloss Sticks for a
while now, but I wasn’t sure which shade I wanted. This gift set has three
shades and because the set is £16, you are getting one shade for free. I would
have waited for the half price Boxing Day sale, but I didn’t want to risk not
getting them.
The packaging is made out a hard black
plastic and is barrel shaped, like other chubby sticks. The typography and
colouring make the packaging look very sleek. To dispense the product you need
to take off the cap, which is very secure and twist the bottom of the pencil.
Soap & Glory say that the formula is a mixture of their Gloss-Fix Finish™
and Ultimelt™ Lip Shine & Shaping Technology. You get 2.72g in each stick
and there are currently five shades to choose from. In this gift set you get
three of the shades, which are Nudist,
Fuchsia-Ristic and Plum Jam. They are packaged inside a
cute little tin.
Nudist is a beige toned nude, Fuchsia-Ristic
is a slightly neon, light fuchsia pink and Plum
Jam is a nude berry, slightly plum purple in tone.
This product is supposed to feel light,
hydrating and moisturising. The texture should be creamy and glide on
effortlessly. It is also mean’t to give your lips a wash of colour that can be
built up and add lots of shine.
I really love this product. It is
definitely my type of gloss because it is not sticky and it is in a twistable
stick form, so I am in love! The formula is really light and creamy, which
makes it glide onto your lips like a dream. It is hydrating, but the moisture
only lasts as long as you are wearing it. It adds a slight wash of colour and
you can build it for a full colour look. And like a lipgloss should be, it is
very glossy and packed with shine. It will last for around two hours on your
lips without refreshments and it has a really nice slight vanilla scent.
Overall this is a brilliant gift set
and the product for me is perfect. I am not one for lipgloss, but in this form
it is just like lipstick, but shiny. The only problem I have it that it can be
a pain to get the products out of the tin, but this will not trouble me for
long because their new home in my make-up collection awaits them!
