Blogmas #3 | RECIPE - Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Today I thought I would share with you a cookie recipe. I have only baked these once myself and they were delicious and too good of a recipe not to share. I found this recipe online and it is mean’t to be a take on a popular American cookie recipe.

Ingredients
125g Softened Butter
100g Light Soft Brown Sugar
125g Caster Sugar
1 Egg
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
225g Self-Raising Flour
Pinch of Salt
200g Chocolate Pieces

Method
1.    Preheat your oven to 180°c (fan)

2.    In a medium sized mixing bowl, add the softened butter, light brown soft sugar, caster sugar, the egg and vanilla extract and mix together with a wooden spoon.

3.    Add the self-raising flour and salt and mix again.

4.    When the mixture is smooth, add in the chocolate pieces (I use Cadbury’s chocolate buttons) and mix well.

5.    Use about a tablespoon of mixture per cookie and evenly spread the mixture on a grease paper lined baking tray. There is no need to flatten them as they will expand whilst in the oven baking.

6.    Bake them in the oven for 8 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.

7.    When baked, remove them from the oven. Leave them too cool for 5 minutes to eat them warm or transfer them onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Will you be using this recipe to make some delicious cookies?

e.l.f Earth & Ocean Palette

I haven’t purchased anything from e.l.f in the longest time. I happened upon a post of this palette on Instagram and the complimentary comments really peaked my interest in trying it for myself. Palettes I have tried from e.l.f. in the past haven’t been the greatest of quality; I kind of associate the brand as being for children, beginners or natural beauty wearers. I was also interested in the Retro Paradise Palette , but I thought I would get more use out of this one at the moment.   THE PACKAGING The packaging is quite simple with a clear/black outlined plastic rectangular shape. The fronting is transparent so that you can see the eyeshadows from the outside of the palette. It has a clip closing, which you push apart to reveal the inside. The square eyeshadow pans are spread out across a black base and the shade names are printed in grey font under each pan. THE EYESHADOWS & FORMULA You get eighteen 0.94g eyeshadows in Matte (M), Metallic (ME), Glitter (G), Satin (S) and Shi...

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils in Chaos & Freak

Chaos - bright cobalt blue with light pearl (matte) Freak - light yellow toned emerald green (shimmer)   These shades are beautiful and I just love these pencils at the moment. I might have to buy more shades, maybe a purple! The formula is so soft and creamy and the pigmentation is amazing! Boots Fragrance Sampler Gift Set for Her 2015

I decided to treat myself to this little fragrance set. As you know, I am a perfume addict and I’m quite addicted to collecting perfume samples too! It’s this year’s Boots Fragrance Sampler set for Her. I saw last year’s advertised but I always thought it was a little expensive for what you get. The set basically contains eight samples of Boots best-selling female fragrances by other brands. The set comes in a small, thin cardboard box and each sample is set inside a plastic insert. You also get a small fragrance guide and the voucher, which is what you’ll need to get your full size bottle of your favourite sample. The eight samples in this year’s set are:- HUGO BOSS - Boss Ma Vie This is a 2ml sample vile in pipette form and can be exchanged for a 30ml bottle of the eau de parfum. “Inspired by the independent spirit of a woman, exuding a glow of femininity and confidence.
