Boots No7 Limited Edition Beach Beautiful Eye Palette

This was a limited edition product part of a Boots N^o7 Summer Collection available in either 2009 or 2010.

Shade 1 - a turquoise green

Shade 2 - a light lime green

Shade 3 - a light plum purple

Shade 4 - a blue tinted silver

Shade 5 - a light nutty brown

Although the palette looks very nice, the colours are not very pigmented at all and are all shimmery. The colours are also very ashy and crease with and without an eye primer underneath!

Had I have not received this product as a gift I would not have purchased it myself!

It is no longer available at Boots, but you might be able to find it on eBay!

I have another perfume sample to share today. Again, I can’t remember how long I have had this one, but I know I haven’t smelled it before. I always mean’t to test it sooner, but didn’t for reason, so now is the time! It is Olympéa by Paco Rabanne and it is a 1.5ml spritzer sample of the eau de parfum. “ The divine perfume with a fresh oriental signature; it’s sparkling green tangerine top notes reveal a unique salty vanilla accord. Tarte Tartelette Tease Palette

I saw this advertised last year and I have been interested in the full sized Tartelette palettes before, but couldn’t really justify buying one (plus I couldn’t find anywhere in the UK that sold them). I thought getting this little ‘tease’ would introduce me to the brand, plus the shades look very appealing. This palette is described as being the “pocket-perfect version” of the original Tartelette palette. I thought it would be slightly bigger, but it is actually pocket sized. It is a similar size to the Urban Decay Naked Basics Palettes, but it is shorter in length and slightly wider. It’s overall layout is landscape with a length of 9.7cm and width of 5.8cm. It is made of cardboard and has a pink, purple and gold theme. The lid of the palette is magnetised and you lift it up to reveal the eyeshadows. e.l.f Earth & Ocean Palette

I haven’t purchased anything from e.l.f in the longest time. I happened upon a post of this palette on Instagram and the complimentary comments really peaked my interest in trying it for myself. Palettes I have tried from e.l.f. in the past haven’t been the greatest of quality; I kind of associate the brand as being for children, beginners or natural beauty wearers. I was also interested in the Retro Paradise Palette , but I thought I would get more use out of this one at the moment. THE PACKAGING The packaging is quite simple with a clear/black outlined plastic rectangular shape. The fronting is transparent so that you can see the eyeshadows from the outside of the palette. It has a clip closing, which you push apart to reveal the inside. The square eyeshadow pans are spread out across a black base and the shade names are printed in grey font under each pan.
