LOOKFANTASTIC BEAUTY BOX #8 - December 2020

This is my last LF Beauty Box as I have now cancelled my subscription. If you read last month’s box unboxing post, you will know why. Last month’s box was the Firecracker Edition and this month we have the Christmas Edition with a black and gold themed box. The six items inside the box should be worth over £135.00 altogether!   The box quote this month is: “ Merry Christmas with love from the Beauty Box Team ”.   Here is what I received this month:-   PERCY & REED Reassuringly Firm Session Hold Hairspray | 50ml - £6.00 | This hairspray should be ultra-fine, humidity resistant and it should provide a flexible but firm hold. I was looking at trying a new hairspray anyway. I currently use a TRESemmé one and it makes my hair feel a little crispy if I use too much. I am hoping this one is different as it says it is ultra-fine. I only tend to use hairspray when I curl or wave/crimp my hair. | Full Size: 250ml - £12.50 |   Jecca Blac Glow Drops in Champagne | 20ml - £1...

My Eye Primers: The Verdict!

It has taken me a long time to put this altogether, but I have finally done it! I decided I wanted to share my thoughts on eye primers I had tried and it turned out that I had ten, so I thought I would test them and find out which one worked best for me. I have split them into two categories (High End/Low End) and I aim to rank them from #1 to #10 on which is the longest wearing. Let’s look at the primers I will be testing. HIGH END URBAN DECAY PRIMER POTION PRICE: £17.50 SIZE: 10ml SHADES: Original, Anti-ageing, Freebase, Eden, Fix, Minor Sin, Sin and Caffeine APPLICATION: Squeeze tube without a nozzle, but also has a sponge stick applicator PROMISES: Non-creasing, gives you vibrant eyeshadows WHERE TO BUY: UrbanDecay.co.uk (UK) & Sephora (USA) I like to think that this primer is my favourite as I love the packaging (purple is my favourite colour). It is potion bottle inspired and it is the first primer I remember ever seeing and wanting. The packa...

Haul: Recent Purchases #3

I just wanted to share with you a few naughty purchases and I’m sure these won’t be the last of this month! From FeelUnique.com I finally got my hands on the Juicy Couture Duo Spray Set , which includes two 7.5ml purse sprays of Viva La Juicy La Fleur and Viva La Juicy . I also bought the Urban Decay Nirvana Build Your Own Quad Palette , as I eventually plan on buying some single UD eyeshadows and need somewhere cute to house them. Lastly, after deciding against the purchase, I listened to the little devil on my shoulder and got theBalm Balmsai Palette . From AllBeauty.com I bought a bigger size of the DKNY Be Delicious Fresh Blossom Perfume (50ml). I am still working my way through the 30ml, but I just couldn’t pass on the sale discount and I love the scent. I also decided to buy a 30ml bottle of Britney Spears Curious Perfume . It was so inexpensive and I wanted to own the fragrance again. I nearly bought the 100ml as it was equally inexpensive, but I haven’t smelled the...

Birchbox #1 - June 2014

I have seen of a lot of YouTube videos of Birchboxes and I just decided to try one myself, seeing as though this box looked quite good and I thought it would make a change to having Glossyboxes. When you open the outer packaging, there is a small cardboard box inside, which says Birchbox on it. When you open the box, you see the literature that comes with every box, including a product list. Underneath the literature, the products you get are packaging in a canvas pull string bag, this month’s bag is green like the Brazilian flag because the box is kind of football themed. When I opened the bag, I was amazed to find that I had got some star products (beautyblender & theBalm cream). I was only expecting to get one or the other! The OPI polish also comes in a small mint coloured cardboard box inside the bag. Here is what I received overall this month:- Beautyblender Classic and Blendercleanser Solid Kit | £26 – BeautyBlender.co.uk | I have heard about this s...
