Benefit Cheek Stars Reunion Tour Palette

I’ve wanted to try the highlighter Cookie from Benefit for ages, but always decided against purchasing a single of it as I always declutter the single boxed powders by Benefit, so I didn’t want to waste money again. Also, I have far too many single highlighters (OFRA ♥) as it is! I kept seeing Beauty Influencers on YouTube use this palette, so I decided to purchase it for myself. You get five full sized powders inside a cute compact palette. You also get a free face brush which also fits inside the palette and a Tips & Tricks Card. You can purchase it for £53.50 ($60.00) from BenefitCosmetics.com. There is also a mini version available of this palette (Cheek Stars Mini Reunion Tour Palette), which includes; Georgia, Sugarbomb and Hoola for £26.00 ($30.00). All five powders are also available in singles and mini/travel singles. Serial Sampler #19

I have a mascara mini/sample to share with you today. I actually purchased it myself and I bought the mini just in case I didn’t like it, and I also have a lot of other mascaras that need using up anyway. It is BADgal BANG! by Benefit and it is a 4g mini of the full sized mascara (8.5g). It is described as being smudge-proof, water resistant, lifting, lengthening and volume building. The mascara is cruelty-free, but not vegan (contains Beeswax). I have previously used the original BADgal Mascara by Benefit and this one is quite different. I remember BADgal being very dark, wet and kind of clumpy, but BADgal BANG! is definitely an improvement. The brush is skinny and kind of arrow shaped, which is perfect for getting your very inner corner lashes and your lower lashes. It definitely lifts, lengthens and separates your lashes, but the volume is not the best. The volume is workable and the formula isn’t clumpy so you can apply more than one layer to build more volume. T...

Haul: Recent Purchases #7

I have purchased a hell of a lot of beauty related items between Christmas, New Year and beyond, I have completely gone mental!!! I can’t quite believe how much I have purchased or spent. I got discounts off the majority of the items, but it is still a lot to process. I thought I may as well share with you what I purchased. From BeautyBay.com, I got the Melt Cosmetics Eyeshadow Stack in Haze , ZOEVA Classic Brush Holder , RINCÓN Sugar Rush Palette and the BPERFECT Stacey Marie Carnival Palette . I already have three of the brush holders and I am also interested in getting another eyeshadow stack in the not so distant future. I originally saw this stack a month or so ago, but I was put off by the price, when I saw it discounted just after Christmas, I took advantage. The Rincon palette I believe is new and the colour story is right up my street. I first saw the carnival palette a few months ago and I was like, no, I don’t like colour. My tastes keep changing and I am now start...

Haul: Recent Purchases #5

I have been rather naughty lately and bought quite a few new cosmetics and I can’t wait to test them all out! I got the most stuff from FeelUnqiue.com and the products are from a couple of separate orders. I got the Benefit Boiing Brightening Concealer in No 1 , Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil in No 3 and a sample/mini of the brand new Benefit Hello Happy Soft Blur Foundation in No 1 . Also, because I bought two Benefit products on one of my orders, I got a free large Benefit Tote Bag . I also re-purchased a Rimmel Brow This Way in 004 Clear and got the new Urban Decay Beached Palette and a brush works Combination Tweezer Set . I am a Platinum Member on FeelUnique.com, so I get 10% off any product from my favourite brand. I chose Urban Decay as my favourite brand over a year ago, so I get 10% off anything I order from them. I also made my first Superdrug.com order in a couple of years! I was interested in a couple of palettes and I actually got one of them for free be...

My Eye Primers: The Verdict!

It has taken me a long time to put this altogether, but I have finally done it! I decided I wanted to share my thoughts on eye primers I had tried and it turned out that I had ten, so I thought I would test them and find out which one worked best for me. I have split them into two categories (High End/Low End) and I aim to rank them from #1 to #10 on which is the longest wearing. Let’s look at the primers I will be testing. HIGH END URBAN DECAY PRIMER POTION PRICE: £17.50 SIZE: 10ml SHADES: Original, Anti-ageing, Freebase, Eden, Fix, Minor Sin, Sin and Caffeine APPLICATION: Squeeze tube without a nozzle, but also has a sponge stick applicator PROMISES: Non-creasing, gives you vibrant eyeshadows WHERE TO BUY: UrbanDecay.co.uk (UK) & Sephora (USA) I like to think that this primer is my favourite as I love the packaging (purple is my favourite colour). It is potion bottle inspired and it is the first primer I remember ever seeing and wanting. The packa...

Birchbox #6 - June 2018

As you can see from the title of this post, I re-subscribed to Birchbox again! My last box was February 2016, so it has been a while. I only subscribed again this time because I saw the preview of it on Facebook and I really wanted the tin. The boxes are usually made out of cardboard, but this month they have chosen a very pretty and re-useable tin. For those of you that haven’t subscribed to Birchbox before, the boxes are £10.00, plus £2.95 postage. The courier who delivers your box is Hermes. I actually hate Hermes because they never actually deliver my parcel; they throw it over my garden gate and leave it in the garden! Also, if you miss them, they leave you a ‘Sorry I Tried to Deliver’ card on the street and it doesn’t have any details on the card for you to contact them to arrange re-delivery, they are a horrible company! But, hay ho, Birchbox uses them as their official courier and I did get my parcel in peace this time. Mini rant over! This is the five year birthda...
