Glossybox #26 - March 2019

I received my last Glossybox for a while last week, as I cancelled my subscription last month, but you have to give 30 days notice to cancel otherwise you will still be charged for the next month’s box. Here is what I received:- bellápierre Kiss Proof Lip Crème in Nude This liquid lipstick is supposed to be full coverage, creamy, glide onto your lips, dry instantly, matte in finish and last for hours without needing a touch up. This comes across pink in the tube, but it is a nice nude shade. It is creamy, full coverage and glides onto your lips. The only thing I didn’t like is that it feels quite tacky, even after it has supposedly dried. It is tacky enough that your lips get stuck together when you close your mouth; this has put me off trying the other shades. | 3.8g - £20.00 | BYBI Plumper Lip Balm This lip balm should have a thick and creamy formula that plumps, restores and protects your lips, whilst leaving them soft, smooth and healthy. It also contains peppermin...

Glossybox #25 - February 2019

This is my third Glossybox since I re-subscribed last year. It is also the Valentine’s Day themed box. I would say that so far, this box seems to be the one most tailored to my usual interests. I received seven products in this box, technically six because two go hand in hand. HUDA BEAUTY Lip Contour in Venus This lip pencil formula is supposed to be waterproof and transfer-free. It should glide on effortlessly and give your lips an intense shot of colour. You can use it to contour or colour your lips or pair it with a lipstick. Venus is a warm beige nude shade. It glides onto your lips very easy, but it feels a little tacky when you fill your whole lips in with it. I’m not sure how often I would use this seeing as though I have never used lip liner. I prefer liquid lipsticks and I don’t feel the need to line my lips before applying it. | 1.20g - £16.00 | NAILS INC Nail Varnish in Status Ready This nail polish should be long lasting and super glossy. It is a deep che...

Glossybox #24 - January 2019

This is the first Glossybox of the year and it is the second one I have received since I re-subscribed in December 2018. AVANT SKINCARE DELUXE HYALURONIC ACID VIVIFYING FACE & EYE NIGHT CREAM This is the most expensive product from the box and it is an anti-ageing moisturiser that is supposed to be hydrating and rejuvenating. It is also supposed to be smoothing without adding shine to your skin and it should have a fresh scent. I have actually tested this and the first time I used it, my skin did look shiny and kind of feel greasy. The second time I used it, my skin still looked shiny and when I touched my skin I could tell there was something on it. I don’t think this means it doesn’t work, I think it just needs a little time to settle on the skin. I don’t know what it looks like if you apply make-up over the top. My skin is kind of oily in some place, mostly the t-zone and my cheeks, neck and nose can be quite dry. | 50ml - £98.00 | BATISTE RETHINK DRY SHAMPOO IN HY...

Glossybox #23 - December 2018

It is not long now until New Year and as you can see from the title, I have reactivated my Glossybox subscription, AGAIN! My last box was September 2016. I got this box for £7.00 as there was a ‘first box’ discount offer and the postage was £3.25. I couldn’t get the Christmas ‘All That Glitters’ box, so I was sent this one instead. The sticker on the side of the box said this was the ‘Glossy V11 Dec 18’ box. The products I received are:- WET ONES BE FRESH WIPES I have seen these wipes before in supermarkets and they are just usual wet wipes. I suppose they come in handy, especially if you carry them in your bag. | 12 Wipes - £1.15 | LUNA BY LUNA TRANSLUCENT POWDER I’ve never heard of this brand before and I have only ever tried one translucent loose powder before and I didn’t see what the fuss was about. I will give this one a go though because it is white based and I think the last one I tried was more skin tone based in colour. | 5g - $22.00 | GARNIER ULTIMATE ...

Glossybox #22 - March 2016

I have been looking forward to receiving this box, not because of sneak peeks (I actually haven't seen any) it’s because I used my Glossydots to purchase it. It can take ages to save the points, plus I don’t really like doing the reviews, but it is worth it to get a ‘free’ box once in a while. Here is what I got this month:- LUXIE Rose Gold Large Angled Face Brush (504) | Full Size | This is a lovely looking brush and the bristles are so soft. I am looking forward to giving it ago. I will most likely use it for bronzer or maybe highlighter. --- £10.42 --- OLAY Regenerist Skin Tone Perfecting Cream | 7ml - Sample | This is a cute little sample and it smells really nice. --- £29.99 - 50ml --- Hey Honey Good Morning Honey Silk Facial Serum | 15ml - Sample | I’ve not heard of this brand before and the packaging is nice. You have to cut the top of the applicator to open it, which will keep the product nice and fresh until you want to start using it. --- ...

Glossybox #21 - February 2016

I always look forward to the themed Glossyboxes and this box just looks lovely. I love the colours and the little love design on the lid (better than last February’s box!). Inside the tissue paper is the same hot pink colour as the base of the box and the tissue confetti is white. Here is what I got in my Valentine’s Day themed Glossybox for February:- Nicka K New York 24H Waterproof Eyeliner in Dark Brown | 0.3g - £3.99 | This is a nice product. I like the colour and it could also be used for your brows because it is so soft and the tip is quite fine. It definitely doesn’t stay on for twenty-four hours. It is slightly water resistant, but not waterproof. It doesn’t compare to the Urban Decay ones. MUA Power Pout Glaze Low Voltage Gloss in Rapture | 3.2ml - £3.50 | This looks like a chubby lipstick at first and when you take the cap off, it reveal the wide, flat lip brush applicator. They could have definitely got away with a slightly smaller applicator. You ...

Glossybox #20 - January 2016

Say hello to the first Glossybox of the year! Let’s see what goodies I received this month: UNANI Dermo Defense Face Mask | 100ml - £11.36 | I’m not really into face masks, but I do use them. I will be giving this ago and it smells quite nice too. Teeez Cosmetics Oasis Gem Lipstick in Coral Onyx | 2g - £11.93 | The packaging for this product is quite funky and the shade looks really bright. It is a matte shade. It applies quite nice and slightly sheer, but the colour can be built up. It also has that old fashioned powder pearls smell (if you know what I mean), which is actually quite nice. ANGÈLE Paris Nail Lacquer in Red | 2ml - £6.32 | This is a really nice red shade; it’s what I call a proper red shade because when you apply the first coat it doesn’t look like a streaky pink (like cheap red nail polishes). It recommends two coats, but I think you could get away with the one and it looks really elegant. You definitely need nicely conditioned nails for thi...

Glossybox #19 - December 2015

I have been really looking forward to this box as I knew it would be rose gold themed. All the products were carefully selected by the Beauty Blogger ReallyRee, for this special looking limited edition Christmas box.  Here is what I received:- être belle Golden Skin Caviar Eye Roll On | 10ml - £30.66 | This product is a bit odd and really doesn’t appeal to me at all! So Susan Statement Skin Highlighter Pencil in Starlight | 1.8g - £15.00 | This is a very strange colour and the cream shape is odd too. I am not interested in this product one bit. I prefer light pink highlighters and this is a yellow gold shade, not flattering at all for my skin tone! COLLECTION Long Lasting Nail Effects in Touch of Glamour (31) | 8ml - £2.99 | This nail polish looks really pretty and it is definitely my kind of shade (rose gold). I am looking forwarded to trying it on my nails. I think it would look beautiful on it’s own. Hylamide Pore Delete | 10ml - £18.00...

Glossybox #18 - November 2015

I have another box to share with you:- MUA Eyeshadow Palette in Undressed | 12 Eyeshadows - £4.00 | I actually already own this palette and it is a great dupe for the Urban Decay Naked Palette. I have enjoyed using this palette for a while, the shades are really pigmented, easy to blend and now I have two of them! Royal Apothic Body Lotion | 35g - £14.50 | As you know, I dislike body moisturisers so I will not be testing this product out. Emite Diamond Heart Primer | 15ml - £25.90 | This product does sound quite interesting, but I don’t really feel the need for a face primer. Eylure Natural False Lashes | 1 Pair - £5.00 | I have a confession to make … I have NEVER worn false eyelashes before! I like the look of them but I wouldn’t know where to start on how to apply them. I might have to give them a go. Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Pink In The Afternoon (415) | 4.2g - £7.99 | This is a really nice peachy pink shade and I will definitely g...
