LOOKFANTASTIC BEAUTY BOX #8 - December 2020

This is my last LF Beauty Box as I have now cancelled my subscription. If you read last month’s box unboxing post, you will know why. Last month’s box was the Firecracker Edition and this month we have the Christmas Edition with a black and gold themed box. The six items inside the box should be worth over £135.00 altogether!   The box quote this month is: “ Merry Christmas with love from the Beauty Box Team ”.   Here is what I received this month:-   PERCY & REED Reassuringly Firm Session Hold Hairspray | 50ml - £6.00 | This hairspray should be ultra-fine, humidity resistant and it should provide a flexible but firm hold. I was looking at trying a new hairspray anyway. I currently use a TRESemmé one and it makes my hair feel a little crispy if I use too much. I am hoping this one is different as it says it is ultra-fine. I only tend to use hairspray when I curl or wave/crimp my hair. | Full Size: 250ml - £12.50 |   Jecca Blac Glow Drops in Champagne | 20ml - £1...

HUDA BEAUTY The New Nude Palette

I currently own all four of the big HUDA BEAUTY palettes, and I fell for the colour story of this one as soon as I saw it. The designs for the bigger palettes always look stunning! THE PACKAGING The packaging is quite simple and made of nude pink cardboard, but it has Huda’s face on the front. Huda’s eyes are closed and it looks like she is wearing a fascinator, which is covering part of her face. The palette has a magnetic closing and you just lift it up to reveal the mirror and square eyeshadow pans. THE EYESHADOWS & FORMULA You get eighteen eyeshadows with a net weight of 19.7g in Matte (M), Reflective (R), Glitter (G), Pressed Pearl (PP) and Cream Base (CB) finishes. ·         Insane Pigmentation ·         Flatter any skin tone ·         Cruelty-Free   THE SHADES & SWATCHES Stripes Double 18 Pan by SwatchPerfect.co.uk Bare - soft pinky peach ...

Discontinued Products I Want Back!

Don’t you just hate it when a brand discontinues your favourite product? Well, I certainly do! I thought I would share with you the products I wish weren’t discontinued. I have re-used some of my old photos for the products, I apologise for the quality. Here are the ten discontinued products I could think of so far:-   Avril Lavigne Black Star Eau de Parfum This perfume was launched way back in 2009 and it is still one of my favourites to this day. I haven’t actually smelled anything like it. The notes are; Black Currant, Mango, Pear, Jasmine, Lotus, Hibiscus, Musk, Sandalwood, Vanille and Mexican Chocolate. It was discontinued a few years ago, I’m not exactly sure when. I remember last seeing it for sale around 2013-2015. I don’t know why it was discontinued because it was a stunning fragrance. I used up my last bottle around two years ago and I am so sad it is no longer available. You can still find old bottles of it on eBay but bottles are being advertised for £100.00...

Birchbox #7 - July 2018

I have another Birchbox to share with you. I really like the watercolour design of this box. Here is what I received:- MANNA KADAR LONG-WEAR POWDER IN PARADISE | 3g - RRP £15.00 | There was a choice of two shades and I chose the shade Paradise, which is a very shimmery sort of cherry blossom pink shade. It is a blush which can also be used as an eyeshadow or highlighter. I chose the brightest one because I thought I might be able to use it in my crease, but I didn’t realise it would be shimmery or quite as bright as it is. I will hopefully figure out a way to use it on my eye, I most likely wouldn’t use it on my cheeks because of the shimmer and to be honest, the colour scares me a little! EYEKO FAT EYE STICK IN SATIN | 4g - RRP £12.00 | It is like a cool toned taupe shade and it is quite smooth to apply. It is not really a product that appeals to me. I have used various chubby eye sticks in the past and I just prefer potted cream eyeshadows. WHAT’S IN IT FOR M...

e.l.f Haul #9

I wanted to share with you what I recently purchased from e.l.f. I kind of wanted to buy a lot more, but the products just don’t excite me the way they used to. Perhaps because I bought so many in the past! I got a couple of products I actually wanted and then chose the others to try. Everything I purchased is from their Studio range. I got the Nude Rose Gold Palette , which has ten shades of rose gold toned/inspired colours. Flawless Finish Foundation in Natural , which I believe is the lightest shade. Shadow Lock Eyelid Primer in Sheer , which I have had twice before but I needed to pick up another tube as the one I had, dried out and I am working on a big eye primer review. Slant Tweezer which I have purchased many times before. And because I spent over £25.00 I got FREE shipping as well as a FREE pastel gift. The gift includes three products from the Studio range; Illuminating Palette , Smooth Matte Eyeshadow in Blushing Rose and Powder Brush . I bought the powder brush a...
