Last month’s box was the Retreat Edition and this month we have the Firecracker Edition with a berry and orange themed box. The six items inside the box should be worth over £58.00 altogether! I also received a free aftershave sample. It is supposed to give you a sun-kissed glow. You should massage it into dry skin. It does say you can use it all over your body, not just on your legs. This is my third Glossybox since I re-subscribed last year. It is also the Valentine’s Day themed box. I would say that so far, this box seems to be the one most tailored to my usual interests. I received seven products in this box, technically six because two go hand in hand. HUDA BEAUTY Lip Contour in Venus This lip pencil formula is supposed to be waterproof and transfer-free. It should glide on effortlessly and give your lips an intense shot of colour. You can use it to contour or colour your lips or pair it with a lipstick. Venus is a warm beige nude shade. It glides onto your lips very easy, but it feels a little tacky when you fill your whole lips in with it. I’m not sure how often I would use this seeing as though I have never used lip liner. I heard that O.P.I would be releasing a Breakfast at Tiffany’s Collection and I was really interesting in trying some shades, so when I was browsing the O.P.I website and came across this set, I snapped it up straight away! The packaging is like a white and lilac fashion book and it has a beauty advent calendar vibe. It is a sort of alternative to a beauty calendar. There are five rows with five shades covering two sides of the book. You can open the windows that cover the shades, but it will reveal all five shades, which is why it doesn’t quite pass as a calendar. Plus, you can’t actually take the bottles out like you would a beauty/chocolate calendar. You have to open the sides of the book and pull out the five separate plastic trays which hold the bottles. There seems to be a lot of wasted packaging this way. I was browsing Boots.com for gift ideas and I came across an Essie offer. You got four of their full size (13.5ml) winter 2016 polishes for £17.50. I didn’t get to choose which shades myself but the ones they were offering looked beautiful and are probably the shades I would have chosen anyway. There are six shades in the collection overall; Getting Groovy, Go With the Flowy, Satin Sister, Oh Behave!, Party On A Platform and Ready to Boa. I four I received are:- Getting Groovy - metallic gold palladium Party On A Platform - London garnet red Oh Behave! - minx peach frost Ready to Boa - glistening bronzed mahogany The shades are absolutely gorgeous and my favourites are Getting Groovy and Oh Behave!. They are all perfect picks for Christmas and sadly the offer is no longer available, however you can still purchase the individual shades. ♥ ♥ ♥

Say hello to the first Glossybox of the year! Let’s see what goodies I received this month: UNANI Dermo Defense Face Mask | 100ml - £11.36 | I’m not really into face masks, but I do use them. I will be giving this ago and it smells quite nice too. Teeez Cosmetics Oasis Gem Lipstick in Coral Onyx | 2g - £11.93 | The packaging for this product is quite funky and the shade looks really bright. It is a matte shade. It applies quite nice and slightly sheer, but the colour can be built up. It also has that old fashioned powder pearls smell (if you know what I mean), which is actually quite nice. ANGÈLE Paris Nail Lacquer in Red | 2ml - £6.32 | This is a really nice red shade; it’s what I call a proper red shade because when you apply the first coat it doesn’t look like a streaky pink (like cheap red nail polishes). I have been really looking forward to this box as I knew it would be rose gold themed. All the products were carefully selected by the Beauty Blogger ReallyRee, for this special looking limited edition Christmas box.  Here is what I received:- être belle Golden Skin Caviar Eye Roll On | 10ml - £30.66 | This product is a bit odd and really doesn’t appeal to me at all! So Susan Statement Skin Highlighter Pencil in Starlight | 1.8g - £15.00 | This is a very strange colour and the cream shape is odd too. I am not interested in this product one bit. I prefer light pink highlighters and this is a yellow gold shade, not flattering at all for my skin tone! I was looking forward to this box because the design is gorgeous! It is called their Style Edition box. Here is what I got this month:- Bellápierre Shimmer Powder in Whesek | 2.35g - £12.99 | I haven’t tried this yet, as I find loose pigments/eyeshadows very messy and it doesn’t really look like my sort of colour. Marsk Eyeshadow Brush Pro | £16.70 | I still can’t quite believe the price of this brush. It’s flat and the bristles are quite stiff. I am yet to apply eyeshadow with it, but I’m guessing it will be a little like the flat Urban Decay eyeshadow brushes I have. I definitely wouldn’t pay £16.70 for it! Maria Nila Luminous Colour Hair Masque | 250ml - £18.95 | As you may know, I’m not a hair girl so this product definitely doesn’t interest me at all! The preview for June’s box didn’t seem very interesting, so I wasn’t really expecting much. I was a little surprised to find what was included, because it was a good mix of products for a picky person like me, who is really only interested in make-up. Here is what I received this month:- MONU Spa Rosewood Reviving Mist | 50ml - £11.95 | This product sounds quite versatile, as you can use it to refresh, fix and lightly fragrant your face. I am interested in trying this and on the plus side, it smells quite nice too. Halo Fragrance Free Facial Wipes | 10 Wipes - £1.20 | I will definitely use these, but as far as I can tell it doesn’t promise anything special.
