Boxing Day Haul #1

There is always a Boxing Day sale, so I thought I would hit Boots and look at the discounted gift sets. To my disappointment there was no gift sets left of Soap & Glory, apart from the one I picked up. From Boots I picked up the Soap & Glory Heaven Nose gift set for £8 (was £16), which includes the 50ml perfume in Original Pink and a 150ml pot of their Righteous Butter. I must say the perfume is quite nice! I also picked up the Dove Glamour Essentials gift set for £5 (was £10), which includes a 250ml Summer Glow & Soft Shimmer Nourishing Lotion, 150ml Invisible Dry Anti Perspirant Deodorant and a Black Rose Double Compact Mirror. What sold me was the mirror because I thought it was pretty and I was looking for another compact mirror. The Dove products also come in a small black travel beauty bag. From Argos I reserved and picked up an Oral B Professional Care 1000 Electric Toothbrush for £27.99 (was £59.99). I also went to Tesco to get the complete Harry Pott

NYX Haul #1

I actually purchased and received these items a few weeks ago, but I wanted to wait to haul them. Plus three of the items are going to be given as Christmas gifts, so I didn’t want a certain someone to see what I have bought them before tomorrow. So let’s get started! First off this group of items are from Love-Makeup.co.uk, but the other two items are from eBay. From Love-Makeup.co.uk I bought five NYX products. They include The Runway Collection Eye Palette in Velvet Rope for £10. This palette has very pretty purple shades, and I intend to give this as a gift for Christmas. The items I bought for myself are two Slide On Pencils in Esmeralda and Pretty Violet for £6.50 each, and these are shades I cannot find in my nearest drugstores and they are the type of shades I want and need in my ‘make-up collection’. Lastly I bought two Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencils in Milk and Yogurt for £4.50 each and I have wanted Milk for ages and I saw Yogurt swatched and thought it looked pretty,

NOTD #1 - Christmas Party!

I have decided to do a quick Nail of the Night post, seeing as though it is my works Christmas party tonight. I used Barry M Nail Paint in 150 Red Glitter and then I used their Basecoat Topcoat & Nail Hardener in 54 Clear on top of the red glitter. I was going to use the 321 Gold Nail Effects over the top, but my sister stole that idea, plus I couldn’t be bothered. I did notice the glitter polishes dry a lot faster than the regular ones. FYI – It takes about 2 to 3 coats of the red glitter to get full coverage of the nail!

Hey Big Splendor!

I actually ordered this on Boots.com on the 18 th and I picked it up from store today. Because my Boots is small I thought I would order it online in case I don’t get hold of one seeing as though they were only being sold in the larger Boots stores. But I realised at the weekend that my store had a few to sell, so I was a bit peeved, but hay ho I was guaranteed mine anyway! So here’s what you get inside the big lovely bag! Clean On Me 500ml - £5.11 Clean On Me is a creamy moisturising shower gel which I have had before and it smells divine. I can really smell the mandarin in it, which I really like. It also has a built in body lotion. Calm One Calm All 500ml - £5.11 Calm One Calm All is a bubble bath with a built in body lotion, which contains lemon balm and mallow extracts and smells quite nice, kind of lemony. Pulp Friction 250ml - £8 Pulp Friction is a foamy fruity body scrub, which contains fig powder, pumice, peppermint oil and lemonad

Boots Haul #1

Today I decided to grab a few items from Boots and I took advantage of two of their offers, how naughty of me, but, why not? First I picked up some Rimmel items, two of which are repurchases seeing as though I am nearly running out of the ones I currently have. I bought a Match Perfection Skin Tone Adapting Concealer in 010 Ivory for £5.99, a Stay Matte Pressed Powder in 001 Transparent for £3.99 and lastly I thought I would try something new as Rimmel have a 3 for 2 offer on at the moment, so I received the Gently Eye Make Up Remover for FREE, but would have been £3.59 If there was no offer on. Last I picked up two items from 17, the Photo Flawless Skin Primer for £4.99 and the Falsifeye Mascara in Blackest Black for £6.49. If you purchased two or more items from 17 you received a FREE Electric Disco Purse Set, which includes three nail polishes, the Fast Finish Nail Polish in Nightshade, the High Gloss Nail Polish in Risky Red and the Nail Xtras Glitter Top Coat all 8ml,

EOTD #5 - Weekend Wonderer

I am wearing the exact same make-up as I wore yesterday, and I quite like it so I thought I would share it with you. I used the Urban Decay Naked Palette. Eyes:- For priming on the lid and lower lash line I used Urban Decay Primer Potion in Sin .   I used the Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Sidecar on my lid, Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Toasted in my crease and then Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Hustle on my outer corners. I used NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk to highlight my inner corners and then on the lower lashline I used Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Toasted on the inner part and Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Hustle on the outer part and blended them together. I then lined my upper lashline with Rimmel Special Eyes Precision Eye Liner Pencil in 161 Black Magic and used this to line a third of my waterline. Lastly I applied three coats of my Maybelline The Colossal Volum’ Express Cat Eyes Mascara in Black to my upper lashes and one coat to my lower lashes. Lips:- For my lips I used som

Collective Haul, For Real This Time!

I have a collective haul for you today, mostly nail polishes. I bought these items on several separate days, but I can’t remember exactly when, so I will group them based on where I purchased them from. From Boots I bought Soap & Glory Hand Food, which is obviously a hand cream, for £4.85, which is a bit on the pricy side, but I am obsessed with Soap & Glory products and you do get 125ml of product. I also purchased Soap & Glory Scrub Your Nose In It for £7.40 also pricy, it is a facial scrub and mask all in one and you get 125ml. I bought Barry M Lash Modelling mascara in black for £6.19, Nail Rock Nail Wraps for Children In Need in Pudsey White Polka Dot and Pudsey Black Polka Dot for £6.65 each. And lastly from Boots there was a 3 for 2 offer so I bought two 17 Wild Metallic Eyes in Wild Nude and Wild Bronze for £3.99 each and a 17 Lasting Fix Nail Polish in Royal Indigo, which would have been £2.99, but I got it for free because of the offer. From Superd

Collective Haul, Well, Kind Of!

Today I have kind of a “collective” haul for you, meaning just a few items I bought on separate days, really! My hair straighteners were failing, and I wanted to get some new ones before they totally packed up so I went to Argos on the 20 th October and bought the Nicky Clarke Jewel Collection, which includes a 2000W hair dryer and ceramic hair straighteners. Luckily there was a discount offer on this set so I got it for half price at £29.99 instead of £59.99. Plus it was cheaper to buy the set than just hair straighteners from Nicky Clarke, because I got a new hair dryer, so I don’t have to worry about my current one failing, plus I wanted them because they are purple, which is my favourite colour and they match, unlike my other straighteners and dryer. On the 22 nd October I went to Superdrug and bought yet another Barry M Nail Paint, this time I bought the NEW nail effects crackle polish in 321 Gold Glitter for £3.99 and I earned 3 points with this purchase. And ye

Graze - Box #4

I forgot to cancel my order in time, so, I ended up with another Graze Box. I had no intention of getting another one until at least next year. I am also disappointed as all of the treats in my box have been sent to me before, but at least I know I like all four of them and it was only £3.49 anyway, I suppose!!! In my fourth box is.......... Use this code for a FREE box: 88WP8N9 (you must not already be a member to use this code) And a closer look at all four.... To view my descriptions of these items, please read my previous posts on them, so it saves me repeating myself. My favourite from this box is the Cheddar Gorge and Lightly Toasted Pistachios. Saturday Shopping Spree

I obviously went out shopping again today. I wanted to buy a few items anyway, such as, a face primer, concealer, eyeliner and the Barry M Nail Paint I have been obsessing about for weeks. From Superdrug I bought the Rimmel Fix & Perfect PRO Primer in 002, which is a white cream but there is no actual colour when on the skin. I had seen a video that recommended this primer so I had to go and check it out. It was a bit pricy for what it is, but I suppose it’s cheaper than most and is probably worth the money in the end. It was £6.99. I also picked up a Rimmel Match Perfection Skin Tone Adapting Concealer in 010 Ivory for £5.99. I also saw this in a video, so I’m hoping it lives up to expectations. I also wanted to get another Rimmel Special Eyes Precision Eyeliner Pencil in 161 Black Magic, as I love my brown one and I always meant to buy the black one. I got this eyeliner for FREE because there was a 3 for 2 offer which meant I paid for the primer and concealer and got the c

Sunday Afternoon Haul

So sorry, but, I have yet another haul! I seem to like buying a lot lately. Oh well, here is what I bought. From Superdrug I bought two Barry M Nail Paints in 322 Purple Rain and 150 Red Glitter. I also wanted to buy NYC Lincoln Square Lavender, but they still have not re-stocked the NYC display, I’ve been waiting about a month now! L . Purple Rain is a crackle effects nail paint and it is a dark sparkly and glittery purple colour, the glitter is a dark pink colour. I cannot wait to try this over Barry M’s 308 Berry Ice Cream nail paint. Purple Rain was £3.99. Red Glitter is just a red glittery colour, very pretty and Christmassy and cost £2.99. I received 56 Superdrug Beauty Card Points. From Wilkinson’s (Wilkos) I bought two Wilko Dreamy body sprays, these are my favourite non impulse sprays; they remind me of the sort of one’s Impulse come out with. It was two for 99p so I got two. The regular price for them is 58p each. I also bought a Bath Time Body Puff, which is just

EOTD #4 - Sunday Surprise

Today I decided to use something different for my make-up, other than using my usual palettes. I also decided to use a bit of liquid eyeliner, although it went a tad wrong, which you can probably see close up, but far away it doesn’t look too bad, well good enough to wear out shopping. For a primer/base I used Urban Decay Primer Potion in Original and then for my eyeshadow I used e.l.f Brightening Eye Colour in Day 2 Night. I used the cream shade for my inner corners and then the brown colour for all over my eyelid and then to darken the crease I used the purple shade and I also used this along my lower lashes. For my liquid eyeliner I used e.l.f Liquid Eyeliner in Black and then for mascara I used Max Factor False Lash Effect Fusion in Black. For my eyebrows I used the usual Rimmel Professional Eyebrow Pencil in 002 Hazel and 2true Instant Colour Mascara in 1 Clear as a brow gel. On my face I used Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid in 004 Light Porcelain all over my face (which
