Serial Sampler #6

I got this sample as a gift with purchase a while ago when I shopped online. It is Narciso by Narciso Rodriguez and it is a 0.8ml spritzer sample of the eau de parfum. It contains very few notes such as; Gardenia, White Rose, Musk, Vetiver, Cedar and White Cedar Extract. It smells quite powdery and musky when you first spray it, after it settles it just smells very floral. It is what I would call a vintage scent (some people would say old lady). It is definitely not my cup of tea and is more suited to mature women. It kind of reminds me of one of the Alice perfumes by Vivienne Westwood. You can buy it in 30ml (£37), 50ml (£59) and 90ml (£71) and it is available at places such as; Superdrug and Sephora. What do you think of this perfume? ♥ ♥ ♥

Birchbox #5 - February 2016

I saw the sneak peek for this month’s box so I decided to re-subscribe again. What caught my eye the most was the Spectrum brush that is included. This month’s box design is also very nice and has the quote “Shine bright like a diamond” in the middle of the design. There was three colour themes for this month’s box; purple, blue and pink. I received the pink version. Here is what goodies I received this month: Spectrum Collections Tapered Powder Brush | Full Size - £7.99 | I’ve seen these brushes before and they all look cool. The bristles are so soft too! It’s nice to get a different type of brush, instead of the usual eyeshadow brush that most beauty boxes tend to include. It is a great brush and I would probably just use it for applying blush because I prefer my powder brushes to be a bit larger. LOC One and Done Shadow Stick in Champagne Problems | 1.35g - £8.00 | Every box this month includes this product, but you got to choose the shade. There were two choi

Tarte Tartelette Tease Palette

I saw this advertised last year and I have been interested in the full sized Tartelette palettes before, but couldn’t really justify buying one (plus I couldn’t find anywhere in the UK that sold them). I thought getting this little ‘tease’ would introduce me to the brand, plus the shades look very appealing. This palette is described as being the “pocket-perfect version” of the original Tartelette palette. I thought it would be slightly bigger, but it is actually pocket sized. It is a similar size to the Urban Decay Naked Basics Palettes, but it is shorter in length and slightly wider. It’s overall layout is landscape with a length of 9.7cm and width of 5.8cm. It is made of cardboard and has a pink, purple and gold theme. The lid of the palette is magnetised and you lift it up to reveal the eyeshadows. It also has a small mirror on the reverse side of the lid and the eyeshadow pans are laid out in two rows of three shades. The pans are rectangular in shape and the shades n

Serial Sampler #5

I thought I would share another perfume sample with you. I also have this scent in a purse spray and 50ml perfume bottle. It is Viva La Juicy by Juicy Couture and it is a 1.5ml spritzer sample of the eau de parfum. It contains a mixture of notes such as; Wild Berries, Mandarin, Honeysuckle, Gardenia, Jasmine, Amber, Caramel, Vanilla, Sandalwood and Praline. Although it contains a lot of different notes, they do actually complement each other. It does smell quite floral, but the fruity notes peak through. I would say that it is quite a girly scent and it is strong, but not overpowering. It definitely lingers for a while after spraying. You can buy it in 30ml (£36), 50ml (£49) and 100ml (£67) and it is available at places such as; Superdrug, AllBeauty.com and Sephora. I have also heard mention of a single purse spray, but I have not seen one advertised apart from the duo set I bought, which included this scent. What do you think of this perfume? ♥ ♥ ♥

Glossybox #21 - February 2016

I always look forward to the themed Glossyboxes and this box just looks lovely. I love the colours and the little love design on the lid (better than last February’s box!). Inside the tissue paper is the same hot pink colour as the base of the box and the tissue confetti is white. Here is what I got in my Valentine’s Day themed Glossybox for February:- Nicka K New York 24H Waterproof Eyeliner in Dark Brown | 0.3g - £3.99 | This is a nice product. I like the colour and it could also be used for your brows because it is so soft and the tip is quite fine. It definitely doesn’t stay on for twenty-four hours. It is slightly water resistant, but not waterproof. It doesn’t compare to the Urban Decay ones. MUA Power Pout Glaze Low Voltage Gloss in Rapture | 3.2ml - £3.50 | This looks like a chubby lipstick at first and when you take the cap off, it reveal the wide, flat lip brush applicator. They could have definitely got away with a slightly smaller applicator. You

Urban Decay X Gwen Stefani Lipstick in Ex-Girlfriend

Ex-Girlfriend - sheer nude rose with pink shimmer You get 3.4g of this lipstick and the packaging is gorgeous! The outer box is gold and white themed with stripes and the lipstick tube itself follows the same theme, but in gold and black. It kind of has the old UD lipstick tube style. You lift the whole cap off and then twist the bottom to dispense the lipstick. It also has the traditional lipstick shape, not like the UD Revolution lipsticks. This lipstick is also unscented, really creamy and immensely pigmented. Overall this is an amazing lip product. The whole packaging is so attractive and this colour is beautiful. I would buy more of the shades, but they are quite bright and I don’t think I would really get use out of them. £16.00 - UrbanDecay.co.uk What do you think of this product? ♥ ♥ ♥
