Serial Sampler #39

I have another perfume sample to share today. Again, I can’t remember how long I have had this one, but I know I haven’t smelled it before. I always mean’t to test it sooner, but didn’t for reason, so now is the time!   It is Olympéa by Paco Rabanne and it is a 1.5ml spritzer sample of the eau de parfum.   “ The divine perfume with a fresh oriental signature; it’s sparkling green tangerine top notes reveal a unique salty vanilla accord. Then it’s addictive heart of captivating jasmine and ginger Lilly scents unveils a sensual ambergris and cashmere wood base ” Launched: 2015   Type: Oriental Floral / Feminine Notes Top: Water Jasmine, Green Mandarin and Ginger Flower. Middle: Vanilla and Salt. Base: Cashmere Wood, Ambergris and Sandalwood. I wasn’t really sure what to expect from this fragrance, I assumed it would smell like an ‘old lady’ floral but I was very wrong. It smells quite sensual and it is a perfect example of a deep oriental floral scent. I can really s...

Serial Sampler #21

I have another perfume sample to test today. It is a spin-off of an already cult favourite scent. I actually love the original and it is my current favourite perfume. I have already owned one spin off scent and I thought I would test this one out too. It is Lady Million Empire by Paco Rabanne and it is a 1.5ml spritzer sample of the eau de parfum. It contains a mixture of notes such as; Orange, Neroli Essence, Red Currant, Magnolia, Orange Blossom, Osmanthus, Mirabelle, Cognac, Patchouli and White Musk. It smells nothing like the original Lady Million perfume, but it is nice. You get a hint of spice and it is kind of warm, soft, powdery and musky in one go. It is definitely more of a floral scent and it is not in your face and overpowering. The original one can be overpowering if you spray too much of it. The floral notes do kind of smell sparkly and fresh, if that makes sense? I get a slight hint of what I am guessing is the Cognac, but I have never actually smelle...

Perfume Power! - Paco Rabanne 'Lady Million'

This review has been a long time coming because I have been wearing this scent for over two years. I saw it on television adverts, but first smelled it in Superdrug and instantly fell in love with it. I find the scent iconic and when I smell it anywhere, I know exactly what it is. It is one of my favourite smells in the whole world and I always close my eyes when I first smell it. Sometimes I just sit there sniffing the bottle, that is how addicted to the scent I am! The bottle is sort of diamond shaped and made of glass with a gold shiny plastic lid covering. There is a gap near the bottom of the bottle where the spritzer is. The part where the perfume name is engraved is where press to dispense the fragrance from the spritzer. The fragrance notes are:- Top Notes: Neroli, Amalfi Lemon & Raspberry Middle Notes: Jasmine, African Orange Flower & Gardenia Base Notes: Patchouli, White Honey & Amber I do like the bottle design as it is simple and compact. ...
