Too Faced Gingerbread Extra Spicy Palette

This palette has been released as part of the Too Faced Holiday 2019 Collection, which is limited edition. I also purchased the original version of this palette, Gingerbread Spice, last year. I knew I had to own both and the colour story is perfect for me. Although at first glance they do look similar, there are actually some differences. The packaging is the usual tin material that the Chocolate Bar Palettes are made of and the same as last year. It is warm brown colour and has raised gingerbread men graphics on it. It has the usual magnetic opening/closing and it also contains a small mirror. It is available for £39.00 from CultBeauty.co.uk and TooFaced.com. You get eighteen 0.70g eyeshadows in a variety of finishes; Matte (M), Metallic (ME), Satin (S) and Glitter (G). Jeffree Star Cosmetics Alien Palette

This palette has been out for a long time now and I always resisted it as some of the colours do not appeal to me, but I really wanted that green Alien shade so bad. I also do not personally like the packaging. There was a 30% off sale on BeautyBay.com, so I decided to pick it up as it was considerably cheaper at just £33.60!. The packaging is rather huge. It is kind of egg shaped with a point to resemble an alien head. It is made out of hot pink pleather and it has raised metallic grey plastic eyes. The branding and palette name is printed in white font. It has a magnetic closing which you lift up to reveal the inside of the palette. The top part (lid) folds back and also has a small mirror. The square eyeshadow pans are arranged across a metallic gunmetal grey base. The shade names are printed in white font. The eyeshadows have the usual JSC logo imprinted into them, apart from two which are a Flying Saucer/Spaceship and an Alien head. You can purchase this palette for £48.00 from Je

Urban Decay X Game of Thrones Palette

I kind of squealed with delight when I saw the teaser for this collection. Game of Thrones is one of my favourite ever TV series and I do like Urban Decay make-up. I was considering purchasing the collection vault, but I stopped myself as I knew I wouldn’t use everything and I didn’t want to waste money. You can buy the whole collection (13 pieces) as a vault, which will you set you back £198.00 ($250.00)! The contents of the vault are; Game of Thrones Palette , Mother of Dragons Highlighter Palette , Dracarys Lip & Cheek Stain , 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils ( Dragon Smoke , Lannister Gold , The Night King & Winterfell Snow ), Vice Lipsticks ( Cersei Lannister , Daenerys Targaryen , Sansa Stark & White Walker ), Jon Snow’s Large Longclaw Eyeshadow Brush and Arya Stark’s Needle Flat Eyeshadow Brush . The packaging is made out of cardboard and it is large and rectangular with a dark design on the outside and a Westeros map design on the inside. It looks a bi

Glossybox #26 - March 2019

I received my last Glossybox for a while last week, as I cancelled my subscription last month, but you have to give 30 days notice to cancel otherwise you will still be charged for the next month’s box. Here is what I received:- bellápierre Kiss Proof Lip Crème in Nude This liquid lipstick is supposed to be full coverage, creamy, glide onto your lips, dry instantly, matte in finish and last for hours without needing a touch up. This comes across pink in the tube, but it is a nice nude shade. It is creamy, full coverage and glides onto your lips. The only thing I didn’t like is that it feels quite tacky, even after it has supposedly dried. It is tacky enough that your lips get stuck together when you close your mouth; this has put me off trying the other shades. | 3.8g - £20.00 | BYBI Plumper Lip Balm This lip balm should have a thick and creamy formula that plumps, restores and protects your lips, whilst leaving them soft, smooth and healthy. It also contains peppermin

Haul: Recent Purchases #7

I have purchased a hell of a lot of beauty related items between Christmas, New Year and beyond, I have completely gone mental!!! I can’t quite believe how much I have purchased or spent. I got discounts off the majority of the items, but it is still a lot to process. I thought I may as well share with you what I purchased. From BeautyBay.com, I got the Melt Cosmetics Eyeshadow Stack in Haze , ZOEVA Classic Brush Holder , RINCÓN Sugar Rush Palette and the BPERFECT Stacey Marie Carnival Palette . I already have three of the brush holders and I am also interested in getting another eyeshadow stack in the not so distant future. I originally saw this stack a month or so ago, but I was put off by the price, when I saw it discounted just after Christmas, I took advantage. The Rincon palette I believe is new and the colour story is right up my street. I first saw the carnival palette a few months ago and I was like, no, I don’t like colour. My tastes keep changing and I am now start

Birchbox #8 - February 2019

My last Birchbox was July 2018 and I periodically re-subscribe. I only re-subscribed this month because you could get a FREE The Beauty Crop Espresso Yourself Palette. This is a sort of Valentine’s Day themed box and you get three postcards and two 15% off gift vouchers for the Birchbox website. You can use the vouchers to purchase any items you receive in your boxes. This is my first drawer type Birchbox. The last time I was subscribed it was your usual cardboard box with a lid and I think the products also came inside a little drawstring bag inside the box. Here is what I received this month:- LOC Liquid Shimmer Shadow in Eclipse I actually got to choose my shade of this product, there was Eclipse ( rose gold ) or Moonlight ( taupe ) available. This product is supposed to give you a subtle hint of colour and shine that can be layered for a bolder look. It has a water based formula and it should feel lightweight and comfortable on your lids, whilst providing long lasti

Serial Sampler #16

I have a mascara sample I would like to share with you today. It is  False Lashes Extreme Black  by  MAC  and it is a 1g sample of the full size mascara. It is supposed to make your lashes appear thick, voluminous and full feathered with its ultra-thickening carbon black pigment mousse like formula. It should also lengthen, curl and separate your lashes and it should be long wearing, flake proof and smudge proof. This mascara does add quite a bit volume to your lashes, as well as length, separation and definition. It also slightly curls the tips of your lashes. I’m not sure if the ultra-thickening formula and carbon black pigment really adds anything extra and I wouldn’t say that it really gives you a full feathered look. It was easy to apply and after a couple of coats you are good to go. The effects do last all day, it is smudge-proof but not flake proof and I do like the small thin and precise brush. I did enjoy using this mascara and I would be interested in purchasi

Katie Price 'Stunning' Perfume VS JoJo Siwa 'Be You' Perfume - Are they the same?

I was browsing on AllBeauty.com and looking at celebrity fragrances and I saw that one was listed for JoJo Siwa. I had heard of JoJo before, but I don’t really know anything about her. I clicked on it out of interest and when I first saw the image of the perfume, I thought maybe the wrong photograph had been uploaded until I clicked on it and saw the description of the perfume. When I first saw the photograph, before I clicked on it to read the description, I instantly thought, that’s Stunning by Katie Price! I looked into it a bit more and compared it to Stunning. The JoJo Siwa “version” is called Be You. Photo Source: Perfume.com Stunning by Katie Price ·          Released in 2007 (12 years ago). ·          Contains the notes; Mandarin Orange, Jasmine & Patchouli. ·          Classed as a floral scent. ·          Marketed as an adult’s fragrance. ·          Diamonds by Next is a confirmed dupe of this perfume, but the bottle is completely different.
